What kind of blanket do you use?

I can't ever go to sleep without a blanket. I don't know what it is about blankets but I just have to have one. Recently, I had mine washed and since it wasn't dry yet, I had to make do with a bed sheet tonight. This got me wondering--what do you use as a blanket? Can you sleep without a blanket?

Just like you mimico, my younger also couldn’t fall asleep if without using any blanket even in a hot day. Luckily that she uses the thin blanket which is made from cotton cloth otherwise I bet she would sweat a lot and torture herself in this tropical hot weather here most of the time. I couldn’t stand the hot weather here, and I could only sleep comfortably with fans or air con on. I seldom sleep with a blanket unless during cold rainy night or I fall sick. Though I rarely use blanket I still have one beside me for standing by. My blanket is in fact a large cotton tower specially designed as blanket. posting and have a nice day.

oh happycake lol ... my daughter is exactly the same she is 15 months old and has never wanted anything over her. when the cooler weather started here a couple of months ago i would sneak in later in the night before i went to bed and would put a blanket over her. only took me a couple of nights to realise that it was causing her to wake up lol ... i soon stopped bothering to try and cover her up. and then just two nights ago my mother was here for dinner and as i was seeing her out the door i heard my little girl wake up .... even though i have told my mum that abbie does not like having a blanket over her my mum obviously thought she knew better and had covered her up grrrrr. so after her bath ... i dress her in a singlet then an all in one with long sleeves but no legs then a pair of flanalette pjs and a pair of socks and then when she is ready to actually go to bed i put her in a sleeping bag thingy with long sleeves over the top of everything else. i was worried about her getting cold when winter started but we are nearly at the end of it all and she has survived just fine : im sure your little boy will be just fine too : ... just put a couple of layers on him

Hi mimico.......since it is very hot here in our place,we make use of sheets. But on winter time all blankets are out....we have some fleece for our kids-since they are already wearing pyjamas....quilted and flurry blankets for adults--good to be tucked under this when it's really cold.

Hi, the blankets that I use are those without that "furry" texture, I can't sleep if that is the blanket I will use, what will happen to me if I use a "furry" blanket is that I would get sick the entire night. But with a blank that is not "furry" I can sleep very well, even if it's thick or not, it does the job of getting me to sleep very early and very well.

I usually sleep with a quilt on unless it's very hot and I don't want to use the air conditioner.......I like the feel of the weight....to me it's comforting. I don't think I could sleep with just a sheet on!

I use a quilt cover sheet as a blanket. I have a quilt, but because it's rather warm in my country these days, I've stopped using the quilt. so just the cover. more for the feeling of security than anything. and hopefully it prevents the fan from drying my body skin too much. I can sleep without a blanket, especially when it's very warm and humid.

Hi! Same here.^_^ I dont know why either but I cant sleep without a blanket. Well, actually I do but I prefer to have one. It doesnt matter even if its sweltering hot but I always use one. I remember that there was a time when I cant sleep without the fan on. It doenst matter either whether it was bitingly cold but as long as the fan is on and I have a blanket Ill sleep like a log. But then again I always sleep like a log.LOL I cant sleep without hugging a pillow or at least there are lots of pillows around me. The habit of putting barriers between me and the edge of the bed kinda stuck from when I was a kid. I can sleep without them but it can take me an hour or two to get to a real sleep. Well, I guess we all have our unique sleeping habits.^_^

I haven't had blankets on the bed for years but, if I'm feeling a bit under the weather or a bit sorry for myself I'll snuggle up with my squishy neck pillow.
