How often do you wash out your hair brush?

Sometimes, I forget to wash out my hair brush and the oils from my hair brush end up on my nice clean hair and I have to shampoo again! Lately, I've been trying to wash my hair brush two or three times weekly. It takes just a few minutes and is much easier than rewashing my hair! How often do you wash your hair brush?

Your post just prompted me to check my brush, frankly i didnt like the dirt accumulation, I think I may need to do some washing now! That tells you I never wash my brush at all! LOL!

It's OK! For many people, this is a new concept. But it's OK to start now if you wish.

Yes, my spouse and child use a comb too. Their hair types are different than mine. My hair is full and long, so I must brush it daily or it tangles. I use a big round brush and it helps keep my hair beautiful! Thank you for your lovely comments.

When I was using a brush, up to a few months ago, I would soak my brush in soapy water about every two weeks. I found after awhile that, that wasn't enough and so I started doing it once a week. I now have my hair permed so I can't use a brush on it or it gets all frizzy, so I use a pick and that I wash off after every use. I just run it under really hot water.

I have quite a lot of hair brushes, but didn't tend to wash them out very often. I don't use a lot of hair products like spray or gel, so they don't get too clagged up with sticky stuff. I do have long hair though. Coincidentally I de-haired one just this week, and it took me ages, and it was actually quite gross. I resolved not to let my brushes get quite so full of hair, before I pull it all out.

At leat once a week. I use a pick for my hair to get out the tangles or my fingers. I use something from a beauty supply store that is really good for tangles and since I have let my hair grow out past my shoulders it works wonderful.

I always make sure that I am not putting dirty hair brush after washing my hair. So every time I wash my hair I wash my hair brush too.

I wash my hair brush whenever I see it dirty, so that is like everyday. But when I get lazy to clean my hair brush I just use it whenever I take a bath. I know it's not good for the hair but I still do it..

I never wash my hair brushes. I didn't think you had to. I guess I learned something new today. Haha. But even when I don't wash my hair brush, it still works fine. It doesn't make my hair any greasier or oily.

I wash my hair brushes and combs once a week, otherwise the natural oils seem to build up on them. I use hairspray, so I wash the clips that go into my hair as well. I think it's a healthy practice to keep those items clean, and probably makes our hair behave better :-)

I don't wash my hair brush, I have never really felt the need to. I do however remove hair from my brush as my hair frequently falls out. I do this every few days, so my brush does not look like a huge fur ball.
