Do you think people who honestly don't see a red light and break it are wrong ?

Lots of people just don't see the red light. Are they really wrong when they break it ?

The fact that someone doesn't see a red light is going to be little comfort to someone who's injured as a result of that person failing to stop. If 'not seeing' a red light is acceted as some sort of excuse for not stopping then maybe 'not seeing' the pedestrian is an excuse for running him down??? People who 'honestly' dont see a red light should stop driving till they've had their eyes tested!! If its a lapse in concentration then they need to address the problem and take responsibility for it - YES they are wrong!

If you can't See a traffic light ahead change to red while driving along, then you're not paying attention where you should be,and that lapse could kill someone,or yourself..GUILTY,Your Honour!

You can have the excuse that you didn't see the light when you get stopped, but I know some people have tried to run a red light as they're in a hurry, which isn't always successful,or ever advisable,as the light is RED for a very good reason! Thanks for the Best response!

LOL people that don't see a red light should have their license taken away form them right away - of course it's not possible to "miss" the red light for a normal person :)

I dont understand what you are saying. How come they dont see the red light? It is big, and well, its a light. At least where i live, red traffic lights are very visible and people who break it do it on purpose. Now, if theres a serious reason why someone wouldnt see it,i guess he/she should try explaining to the others. I wouldnt like to be rammed by someone breaking a traffic light, and then he said he didnt see it. Seems ridiculous.

hello bluepatch, i honestly believe that some really dont see the red light and you cannot say they are wrong BUT fact is be it right or wrong that they made such mistake it is something that can endanger someone as well as the one who missed the light. i think it was two months ago that they had an accident in my area that 2 kids were run out of the car coz the driver didnt see the light and just drove in and it was already too late. yes it is a mistake and no one wants that to happen BUT the responsibility relies to the driver coz he have to be aware of what is going on around him specially the stop sign, lights and the crossings as it can harm both. i think the government made it wrong for reasonable reason and i have nothing against it whatsoever. takecare

Its totally wrong, in order to save few seconds, people break the red lights and make the accidents..this is smthing rubbish that for saving some time you kill or injured any person..We shuld abide by the traffic rules which can help to keep a control on the accident rates and also there will be an improvement in the traffic situation of the city especially in asian cities..
