What do you get an 11 year old boy for their birthday?

apart from a 10 year old girl lol We have an 11 year old grandson who we have very little contact with but want to send a birthday present. Can anyone here with boys a similar age please give me some help with ideas as to what the "cool" for boys toys are at the moment. I am looking to spend about $25 and it will have to be mailed. I hate giving gift vouchers so would like a real gift idea HELP!

My son , when he was that age, really loved the remote control cars and trucks. They have some that come with their own battery pack and charger. Some of them flip, spin, and other extra stuff ( other than just driving ). They are loads of fun!
Another thing he liked then ( and still does ) is video games. If he has a player system at home, maybe find out which one and get him a game. Alot of the prices have come down on the games since they keep coming out with new systems.
Legos are also favorite although they can get pricey.

I had passed the age of 11 year old for many years,hoping someone can help you.I think the psp is a good choice,maybe the children love it,it's just a suggestion.

It is really difficult to decide for gift if you do not know much about the person. However when my nephew was that age I used to give him video games, some music CDS etc. But please do not give socks as too many people end up giving that. A plaything is the right choice though.
