Thoughts on the Last Days

In the Bible, it says that except that the last days are shortened that there will be no life on the earth. I have heard and read people talk about the rapture where the Christians are driving in cars, or in a meeting, etc. and suddenly the car runs into a pole with no driver, half the people in the meeting disappear, and some of the passengers in an airplane are gone. I did see the movie Left Behind, by the way, and I wondered whether this scene about the rapture is just white washed for what will really happen? You see, I believe that Jesus Christ will come down from heaven on the clouds and only on that day, will the Christians alive or dead be brought up to be with HIM but before that there will be persecutions of such imaginable that all life would be threatened by extinction since once you destroy good, only evil remains and evil leads to death. The Christians will be tortured and killed for their faith and there will be no vanishing of drivers from cars or passengers from airplanes or people from meeting places then. Their bodies will be still there, riddled with bullets, torn apart, etc. or whatever was used to bring their deaths. So do you believe in a rapture where people mysteriously disappear to save them from the coming persecutions or do you believe that this is a foretelling of the fate of the Christians who will be killed in the coming persecutions?

The rapture is a man-made fantasy just like the concept of hell.

When Christ comes all the Christians will go to heaven, and the others who refuse God, and do their own thing, will go to hell. I guess you believe you can do anything you like as long as it is according to the rule of the land. So if one time the government says that we must not work on Sundays, and the next time, it says we can work and must work on Sundays, you have to obey the government because that is who you obey, not God.

Well the Bible says that the Saints will judge the world and the Saints are the children of God. God gives us that permission as God does not appear like Zeus or Jupiter in that HE takes the form of a giant man who can grasp you in His hand. If that were true, you would be very very afraid now. But now unless you have a change of heart, you will be very very afraid after you die. The first responsibility is to judge ourselves and never do what we tell others not to do. So we have to begin to judge the house of God, and we cannot do unrighteous judgment, that is saying, "do as I say but not as I do." You think that after you face the judgment seat and you say that suspenseful judged you and said you were wrong, that God is going to get mad at me and scold me and say that you have no right to judge Irishdid. Wrong. HE is going to ask, "Why did you not come to Me and ask for forgiveness for your sins. If suspenseful had not warned you, she would have been wrong."

Well thanks for that. I guess when judgment day comes and I'm standing before God being judged I can say "No need to judge me, someone on mylot already did your job for you God." Let's see since I don't believe just like you do I can't believe in God.

I too have read several of the left behind books and saw the movie. i think theses books and the movie is very misleading. Because the bible states that Those that follow Christ will be persecuted they will not be allowed to buy or sell. Many Christians will loose their lives for following him. The bible also stares that when Jesus returns it will be with trumpets and and a great shout and he will be accompanied with thousands and thousands of angles. So how can everyone not see him. People will not mysteriously disappear. That is a false teaching. People need to read their bibles to understand what will happen.

I believe this is starting to happen now. Look at all the businesses who advocate a certain immoral lifestyle. Right now the course we have is to boycott them, but what if they decide that they will no longer serve Christians or demand that before someone can buy something, that they say that what the immoral people do is right and they agree 100 percent with that? Already in Great Britain, Christian organizations are forbidden to do good works. That is why we need to pray that these days are shortened.

The "rapture" was an idea "found" in the 19th century - there is nothing biblical about the idea.

When I was very young, I had a couple of end of the world dreams. In one, My mom was driving our car over a bridge and there were devils under the bridge trying to pull me and my brother out of the windows with arms that stretched to an incredible length. We managed to escape by floating out the windows with balloons, and were transported to heaven, which was on the other side of the bridge. There were nuns there who said that we couldn't get to the main part of heaven until my brother and I worked out a bunch of long division problems. My brother got mad, and demanded to see Jesus. In the second dream, my mom and dad, and brothers were all out for a ride in the country, when we got a flat tire. As my dad tried to fix it, the sky turned dark, and we looked up, and there were words written accross the sky that said "THE END". Then we saw Jesus floating in on a cloud. Neither one of these dreams came true for me, and I don't worry about the end of the world any more, but try to live a good life, because the end could be coming soon.

The dreams were symbols. You were probably gazing out the window when you should have been studying and you probably had a math test and you were not prepared. The other one, God was sending you a message or saying that HE was looking out for you. Or it could have been a warning that you have to obey God and live decently and not wordly.

I believe in both .I believe in rapture because that's what our pastor and that's what i read in the bible those who receive Christ as their savior and God will be brought to his place and those who are left behind are the people who did not receive him. Those who are persecute by his name are the people who became christian during the day of tribulation. But the people who became christian before tribulation will not suffer it.

There is persecution going on right now. In the West, it is the loss of jobs and the insults, and the silencing of Christians in the public square. Elsewhere it is being killed and tortured, so it will be that soon we will be suffering like those in Asia and Africa are.

i believe we are indeed in the last days and believe me Christians are being persecuted in many places around this world even today !I also believe in a rapture of the saved for read in matthew 24:39. and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. 42. "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

Yes it does. It really is terrible, that they do not want anyone to preach Christ. I guess it shows that Islam is not a peaceful religion.

I was looking it up, and in some cases, they say it occurs before the tribulation, in other cases, after the tribulation, and in some during the tribulation. I do not think it will happen before the tribulation because then there would be no talk about being beheaded, etc. I do not know when the tribulation will start. In fact, we may be in it right now. From what is going on, it sort of looks that way.

I believe we are in the last days, and I do believe the rapture of the church is soon, I don't know when, but I know it is soon, because everything is in place for it to happen. I do not believe that the wrath of God will be poured out on those who are the saved children of God. I believe things here on this earth will continue to get worse, but before things get as bad as they will get all of those who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ will be leaving this world. Then after all of the Christians are gone there will be a horrible time here on this earth like it has never been before, and anyone who accepts Christ after the rapture will die as a martyer, it will be a horrible time It is best to avoid that time and hell, by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour today while you still can, because the Bible says it is appointed unto man once to die and then the judgement. no one has to go to hell all you have to do is believe and trust in the saving blood of Jesus Christ so that you can live for ever, he paid for all of us so we can go to heaven all we have to do is accept, but he won't force us to, if anyone finds themselves in hell one day it is because they have freely made that choice to go there. The rapture is a real event and it is coming soon, I really do believe that. An I also really do believe that life here on earth will get much worse before the rapture but after the rapture it will be even worse than we can imagine now. It is best to avoid being left behind. I hope you do know Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. it is eternally important that you have that settled before you die, because after you die you don't get a second chance.

It is best to accept Christ now. God has called me into HIS Kingdom so I am not afraid if persecution comes or gets worse. I think it will gradually get worse, and who is doing the persecution will control the secular media so that we will not know who is being persecuted in our own country. We will hear about it in other countries and even then it will depend on whether there is a great event happening in that other country. In fact, there will come a time when it will be like Communist Russia when we will not know if our neighbors here are being thrown in jail or executed because they dared quote scripture. So we have to pray for Christ's return so those days will be shortened.

I feel like in some ways that the united states already is facing problems that are being covered up. And I do think that it will get a lot worse before the rapture occurs, and I also think that when the rapture occurs the world governments will do everything in their power to cover that up. I believe the Christians will be able to see and or know what is going on here on earth but not be able to do anything about it, it will be a very scary time.

I'm not sure about the method but I do believe Revelations. Remember, most things written in the Bible were written in a way that people back then could understand and not for us in the 21st century. But I do believe in the End Times and wonder if we've already begun. Things are getting crazy and Christians are being persecuted every day. Want to display a Nativity? You'll be sued. Hari Krishna people can solicit on the street but Christians are considered offensive, etc.

It is getting worse. Do you know that Christian organizations in Great Britain cannot do good works or charity, only the secular organizations can, in Canada, a Christian will always lose if he goes against a -- well you know what I am talking about. It is getting terrible for us.

I heard that something like that going in in some places. I am glad that we Christians can change things around if we stand up for our rights.

Yes, now is the time when we must all be strong and stick to our principles and faith and not roll over to save our hides when times get hard and the pressure is on. The little city I moved to is like an oasis. Sure, it has problems but I can hear church bells and several businesses are unabashedly Christian. Where I moved from, no church bells were allowed because it might offend someone and God help you if you mentioned anything with a Christian bent, you'd be fired or sued. Stay strong and determined!

I was raised to believe that christians would disappear when God comes for them. So that is what I believe. Everyone will just disappear, and the others will be left behind. I know that the people that are left behind will be crying out for him, but it will be too late. We have no idea of knowing what will happen, when it does happen. Me as for my part, I will just serve God and know that eventually I will be with him. As well as my family. As far as the left behind movies, i've never actually sat down to watch them, though I want to. Just to see what ideas people have about the rapture. I'm curious to know what everyone else's opinion is on this also.

I believe that before Christ comes in the clouds, persecutions of Christians will increase until we risk our lives to go out the door. So that means the anti==Christ, the big daddy of them, the one that is worse than Adolph Hitler who can deceive even the very elect will make his bid for power before Christ comes in the clouds.
