If you could add an extra room to your house, what would it be?

Could you, maybe, use an extra bedroom if your family is growing or would you use it for something more indulgent like a fitness suite, sauna, bar, craft studio.... I think I'd have to go for a sort of craft type room but with plenty of space to jump around to music - nothing to stop me stashing a few bottles in there aswell

I have always wanted some sort of library with walls of book shelves. A fireplace too. Just a nice place to sit, relax and read. It would be my quiet room. Well, maybe someday.

My dream also - a wall of books - good insulation, and somewhere cosy you can go to chill out. My husband has a collection of 300 cookery books (he is a chef) so it has better be a big wall!

I was watching one of the t.v. show long time ago & one of the character mentioned a "men cave"... I'd like to have one of those... One little corner of the house where I could just sit around watch stuff blow up in t.v. & just be stupid once in a while... Have some guy friends over & play few games of poker...

LOL... Yeah, you have a point... It's just that my girl friend took over our kitchen & that's what she does whenever she wants to be alone, goto kitchen... Whenever she feels upset or wants a "alone" time, she's in the kitchen... I thought it'd be a nice idea if I had one of those... Blowing up a microwave? Ummm... I should leave any type of "blowing sh*t up!" to professionals... I don't wanna burn my house down, that would be really stupid, lol...

But, if you had that room it would be a bit of a waste to only be stupid 'once in a while'.... surely it has to be once a day at least?????. You could take the microwave in & blow your own stuff up. I like the idea... I suppose mine was a bit of a 'me cave'.

I would totally add a second bathroom! We only have one and it really isn't a problem most of the time, since there are only two of us. I just think having a second one would be very nice for when we have guests stay overnight. It would also be a luxuary in the mornings when we are both getting ready for work. We have talked about adding one downstairs and where it would go and how we would have a shower stall instead of a tub, etc. But we really have to get new siding put on the house before we consider doing the bathroom; it is much more vital at this point.

Oh yes, I have loads of stuff that needs doing before I could consider an extra room & re-fitting the bathroom is one of them. I started taking the tiles off but then our finances changed....

I'd add a huge sunporch. And in the stun porch i'd like to put a hottub. That way we can use it all year long. It would be neat to sit out in the sunporch in the winter too.

I would like a hobby room for my husband, he has a train layout, it is in our dining room, so it eliminates space. If he had a room for his trains I would be able to reclaim my dining room. He could also store his guitars in there as well. That'll make us both happy.

The first new room in our house would have to be a purpose built cookery school for my husband - this has been his dream for years, and as he retires from professional cooking in 2011, this is not in the design stage! Good job we have plenty of room!

My first reaction was to think "I don't want another room because it would be one more room to clean", but after another moment, I realized that I need a laundry room. I don't have one. My washing machine and dryer are out on my back porch. I hate that.

I want a music room . I love singing but my voice is not good. I'm ashamed to sing in bars or any public places. That's why i wanted to have a music room that is sound proof. I don't want my neighbors to hear my voice.

I would go for a game room, big couch, TV, video game system and loud speakers. Just a place to kick it with friends, play games or ping-pong or foosball. Yeah!

I'd guess that would be a popular choice
