Fresh baked bread, what do you like to put on it?

I like to put butter on it, it melts in, adds divine taste and smell to an already devine taste and smell. So what do you put on your fresh baked bread?

we make quite a bit of home made bread during the winter. we got a free bread making machine from some friends, so we make soup quite a bit during the winter and make bread to go with it. we also make pizza dough in it. on top, if we have it with soup, we put butter, but if we have fresh bread for breakfast, we have jam and pb on it!

Interesting, when I was younger and my stomach worked better, I loved tomato soup. Welcome Wazzup! Try to write at least 4 sentences in a response. Like why do you like tomato soup to dunk it in? Taste? Texture? Smell? 4 sentences gives you more money and helps people to have something to respond to you better. So How long have you been at Mylot? Is this your first day? Thank you very, very much for responding. I hope you stay a long time. Take care and good luck.

I'm with you. I love to put butter on fresh baked bread or some kind of sandwich meat. I'll also spread peanutbutter and jelly on fresh bread. It's so yummy. In the morning I prefer to toast it, add butter and strawberry jelly or jam. Add a good cup of coffee and I am a happy camper!

I have no idea how I am going to make this into a long response. I too love butter on it, but not just butter, I love jam, especially raspberry or strawberry jam, but not the kind you buy in the stores. I love freezer jam. I have not made any because we do not have enough strawberries, nor enough raspberries, the latter because we are getting the new growth and cut the old ones away. Another thing I love is honey, buckwheat honey and butter. Now all I have to do is to make some bread, but my husband wants me to make cinnamon buns, and the last ones I made did not turn out that well. I think I will have to search for a good recipe, one that uses butter. I really do not care for margarine or shortening.

They all sound good to me, too. I love honey, too. My husband is going to put maple syrup on tonight. I wish I had a good cinnamon bun recipe, but mine turn out too hard. I think I overwork the dough. I was so despirate for jam this year, I made freezer jam from rose petals.

That is what happens with my dough as well. I have a bread machine, but the motor's gone. I really should get another one, but I have to catch up on my DVd collection, I am saving for a new computer, and my husband had a mini stroke so I have to save just in case the worse happens. I would love maple syrup but I would rather have that on waffles or pancakes, but I cannot have them. I am watching my weight.

If anything, just butter - wonderful! Now, for dark breads like pumpernickel I like cream cheese too.

I like to spread some butter or some jam on my fresh baked bread. I love the smell of fresh baked bread. It just makes the whole house smell good while it is baking.

I can eat fresh-baked bread without anything on it. I know that sounds weird, but I've gotten so used to not using any margarine or butter, that I like it almost just as well without it. However, I would be lying if I said I wouldn't like to put a little "real" butter on it! Gosh, this makes me want to make some bread!

I've had some breads that were good enough to eat straight from the oven without anything on them. Rare, but delicious. Thanks and take care.
