i was young and a single mom working for waffle house. i was doing just fine though. my daughters dad was in jail and i was waiting for him to get out. young and dumb. my now husband came into waffle house one night after being out to get some coffee. he worked there too but we worked different shifts and i never saw him before. i worked the graveyard shift and so i waited on him. we started talking and i was getting off work he helped me sort through my tickets and get ready to leave. my back was hurting too he rubed it a little and well we exchanged phone numbers. we talked on the phone for 3 days off and on and well i really thought i liked him but i was still waiting on my daughters dad to get out of jail he would be out in just 8 months. she was 14 months at the time. well i wanted to go to west end and my friends were going to go with me cause i wanted to take my daughter of course. it is a place in dallas that has all kinds of stores, music dancing outside, and it is just fun to walk around it at night. my friends bailed on me cause they wanted to party and well i had my daughter so i didnt do that anymore. i called and asked him to go with me just as friends cause didnt want to go alone. single mom with a 14 month old at night there i just didnt feel safe. he said ok and came over. we left and omg we had alot of fun. we had like 1 beer each and he was great with my daughter. i hadnt smiled so much in a really long time. it felt so good to be with him. we went to get on an elevator and we were both pushing my daughter in the stroller. we turned and kissed. i just melted. we went back to my house since we took one car. we got to talking more and more it was late. he stayed the night and well the next day he moved in. 3 weeks later we got married. i wrote to my daughters dad and told him that was hard. it was crazy. i wasnt looking for someone but there he was and well i wouldnt trade him ever. i love him so much and with each day i am thankful we still ahve each other. it has been over 12 years and even though it was less then a month of knowing each otehr before we were married i wouldnt change a thing.

I was young and just moved out on my own. I met my husband through an over the phone chat thing. We had talked on the phone alot, getting to know each other and starting off as friends. Then our relationship begin to grow to more, were he then would start coming to my hometown to spend time with me and me going to spend time with him. We lived like 6 hours apart. After spending much time together after 6 months, we took the step and I moved to were he stayed and we lived together. My husband is 32 about to be 33 and I am now 26 and so he is a few years younger then me. After 3 yrs of living together, we took the next step and got married. And well I remember the day he proposed to me. We were at this park it was night and I always wanted him to take me out to go and look at stars. I always love looking at the stars. And some how that night did not go right. We argued and I had ran off on my own in the park to get myself together. While I was on my own, I was frightened by some ducks 
and I went screaming to him and there he stood with a ring in a box and asked me to marry him. And well, I said yes all in tears. And now we have been married for 4 months now. Our relationship since we got married has gotten married. We have faced so much though and we still do, because we are an interracial couple. I am black and he is hispanic, we live in a majority hispanic city. But we continue to stay strong. We will have been together now for 4 yrs in about a couple of months. I am happy despite what other people think, we are continually loving each other and stay together.

Well my story:
My mom, my sister and I were coming home from visiting relatives for the holidays and we ended up calling his dad (see I knew his dad through my best friend) to see if he could fix my moms car cause it was dogging out on us. We met up at the nearest bar (between our houses) and he ended up bringing his son (my man) I still wasnt sure what to think since I never dated younger men and he is 2 years younger than me. He left to go "feed his snake" and I thought that he wasnt coming back. Well his dad instantly (before he even got out the door) was telling me he was single and that we would be perfect together. Well I was telling him I dont date younger men and whatever when he ended up coming back up to the bar. we ended up drinking a bit and started getting a little drunk. well the flirting (from him) began once he started drinking (he didnt talk the whole time we were there before he left to go feed his snake) well my mom ended up leaving so I was up there with his dad and him so I called my best friend. she ended up coming up to the bar and we ended up going to another one. By the end of the night I didnt think I wanted anything to do with him. He wouldnt stop trying to kiss me and it was driving me crazy!! The next day we were going up to another bar to sing karaoke and of course being the person I am ended up calling him because I "told him I would", well he ended up going up there and by the end of the night we were dating. It's been almost 3 years together and we have 2 kids together (one is 15 almost 16 months and one is on the way) and I love him more than anyone I have ever loved before!

I met my wife on the job at a local retail mall. I actually knew her through my security director (I was security supervisor at the time) who was doing some computer work for her office. I was helping out, yet, had no idea that she had any interest in me until one time she invited me to a birthday party which actually I was the only invite, along with my mother. What was interesting is that she and her mother walk at the mall and usually she would come and talk to me as I was driving the security vehicle on patrol and I was the one with the ice cream cone. I was termed the "Good Humor Man" rather than the security officer. I invited her to a movie and a dinner the weekend after her party and then a week after that we were watching a late movie at her house and at around 2am she said that she was depressed. I asked her why and she said because I have been wondering what it would be like to be Mrs. ________? I kind of laughed and then a week later I proposed. We have been married 7 years now and I would not change for anything in my life.

I used to work with my current girl friend... She was going through some rough time when we met... She just wanted someone to vent, I guess... I was on my way to the bathroom & on my way back to my dept, I heard my name... Here, she was asking a girl that worked in a dept. directly across mine to see if she wants to go out that day... She said she has something to do but, as she pointed me out, I would go out with her... I don't know if she meant that as a joke but I came over & started talking to now my girl friend... I told her I'd pick her up after work & we'd go out for a dinner & a drink... Since then, we've been together... That was 6 years ago & we've been living together for 4 years now...

I went to a group bible study with the person I was dating. While I was there, I met my Soon to be spouse. Things soon ended with that nights date and I got a call from a friend who also knew my soon to be and said that they were interested and gave me a contact number. We talked that night for several hours and were married a few months later.

I had actually gotten off of work and I couldn't go home for some odd reason can't remember and one of my friends was like well i know some where you could spend the night he is really cool. so i was like ok first time i saw him i thought he was sooooo hot we got together three days later and i have been happy ever since

That was a sweet story. I saw my husband at a singles dance. bit of a meat market maybe ,but he was tall and blonde and looked good in a suit. We danced alittle bit, and I mentioned I had just broken up with my boyfriend. He said "I'll volunteer to be your boyfriend." Anyway I was intrigued with him becasue his parents had gone to Harvard and I thought he must be wealthy, anyway we talked and later became best friends. We didnt actaully date for like a year, but he grew on me and was always someone I could depend on, so eventually we became serious and moved in together.
The rest is history.

Im a christian and i met my boyfriend in our church. We used to have activities in our church youth group. Through this activities we became close and be the best of friend. When i noticed that he is started to feel something about me, something more than friend. I got mad at him and stated to avoid him. At first i don't like him because he is my friend. But he is very persistent to prove his true intention to me. As month past by, my feeling was develop from friendship to love. Maybe he got me thru his persistency.

This is a good story to share.
I got this job with a shipping company as a sales support for the company rep who it turned out was a very attractive and quite personable young woman.
We worked together for about a year until she got a job with another company and I began to miss her.
It didn't take long for me to realize I was in love.
It lasted about 7 years and I wouldn't change it for the world.

I first met my partner through some old friends. I had lost touch with them after school but bumped in to them a few years later. They had gotten to know my partner at college.
Honestly, I don't think I was immediately attracted to him. I didn't know him very well and was in a relationship at the time. Over time though we became very good friends. me and my previous boyfriend broke up and increasingly my current partner became the person I would confide in and turn to when I was upset or worried about things.
We danced around each other for about two years before we became a couple and to begin with it was very scary. We knew we had feelings for each other but because we were such good friends we were worried that if it didn't work out then we would lose our friendship too.
We've been together as a couple for just over two years now. We're not married or anything and do not live together, we only see each other at weekends and whilst this is sometimes hard it makes us appreciate the time we spend together. There is a lot of respect and trust between us, which I think comes from the friendship we shared before being a couple, and I wouldn't swap him for anyone.

Wow..how sweet. I met my husband online. Yes, I joined this online dating and became a member for almost six months. First he invited me to become his friend because he wanted to learn to speak Filipino language. I got a crush on him when I saw his picture and profile so I approved is invitation. Then we exchanged emails and talked in yahoo. Before I know it was starting to like him and he has the same feelings too. We get to know each other and after a few months I started receiving flowers and chocolates. He came over to the Philippines and visited me and my family. After the wait document processing, I am here in the USA now and we're married.
