My kid's school district raised the lunch ticket price from $1.75 daily to $2.00. Did any body else experience this kind of school lunch cost increase?

Thank you, that is actually something I made and not a school lunch, but I thought it showed a nice well balanced meal, as school lunches should be.

ohhh..sorry, I was thinking it's what the school prepares! That is why it looks just a lot compared to what I used to see! LOL!

Ours was $1.50 and is going to $1.75 this year! My kids in high school usually take $2.75 with them because they pay by what they buy. It is crazy the amount that school lunches cost! I love that my daughter brings her lunch, but my boys both buy every day.

Yes, I would say $40 a month for lunches is enough. I am going to be spending about $30 a week this year on school lunches! That is just crazy!! That is for just 2 kids buying every day and my daughters snack money. Wow...I better get typing to cover that!

I buy my kids 1 10 day ticket a month. They have to pick and choose which days they want to buy and which days they want to pack. $40.00 a month for school lunches is enough.

My son's school lunch is $1.10 a day. Breakfast is 80 cents. His school actually has pretty good food choices most of the time. There are some that my son does not like, so he likes to pack his lunch instead on some days.

Wow, that is pretty major. That has got to be really difficult for some families.
