My sister does scrapbooking and she has made several beautiful books, I have just started scrapbooking started going threw all my pics tons of them so I will be doing some books, but last night we went to a class with digital scrap booking a company called Storybook the things that the lady showed us really interesting and when you uploaded it to print it came back as a book they were all so pretty makes me want to do some of that in the future. My question is how many of you prefer the digital scrap booking as opposed to the tradtional scrap booking in my opinion I think you spend about the same amount of money but the digital is just in your computer and you don't have to carry as much stuff around with you when you go to a scrap but I think I will do both how about you?

I haven't done the digital scrapping yet..since my sisters and I and my daughter-in-law spend weekends putting our books together I think some of the fun might be lost....and since we all love shopping for the goodies to put into the book....well digital might be too easy! LOL

Well hand made scrapbook are the traditional ways of doing things before digital came in to the picture. In the traditional way, all we have to do is to put everything that is trap in our mind by using different materials that pleases us. While in digital scrapbook, you have to have a least a knowledge in computer or the willingness to learn some computer software that can be used in designing your scrapbook. It is easy if you are well verse with the computers and the used of Adobe Photoshop or illustrator and the likes. but since it requires some rigid practice and reading. you could already finish a handmade scrapbook before even knows all the command in photoshop. But I heard there are company's who are selling software of scrap booking where all we have to do is just put the picture in, choose your prepared design and viola, instant scrapbook pages. I am doing both the traditional and digital scrap booking, and it relaxes me.. It so fund you cannot get tired of doing it...Happy scrapbooking.

I have never heard of digital scrapbooking I guess. Are you just uploading your photos and making virtual albums? Or do you end up with a tangible finished product? I like to scrapbook and I also upload my photos to my computer. I like having them in many different places. I think I would probably stick to the good old fashioned way of scrapbooking. I have seen in camera stores that you can upload photos and they will come back as a book. I think having a couple of those books would be neat and much faster, but they would be in addition to my scrapbooks not a replacement for them.

I've never done the digital scrapbooking. I love to do things by hand - especially scrapbooking. Everything from picking up the pictures from the processer, to buying the paper, to picking the right embellishment is so very sensory. I love the feel of the paper, the smell of the supplies etc. I have to say though, when I see some of the finished products of the digital scrapbooking they are spectacular. The only thing is - how do you print the pages? The 12" printers are soooo expensive.

I found a company called " Creative Memories" they gave me free software to put in my computer to do the layout of the book then they have a printing websight that you send your book to but it is rather on the expensive side the smallest book runs about $44.00 but the finished product does look nice but I prefer the tradtional scrap booking as with digital you don't go to the store to pick allthe cute little things to put in your book but it is different every person has their preference have a good day
