Hey all! I was just at the library and I found some books there to help writers who want to develop a business at home doing freelance work. They are as follows: Well-Fed Self Publisher: How to turn one book into a full-time living by Peter Bowerman Writing for Money: Dozens of way to boost your freelance writing income by Loriann Hoff Oberlin How to beome a fulltime FREELANCE WRITER By Michael A. Banks I haven't read them yet but I will. Has anyone found any books that are helpful?

These sound like excellent books. I like to read books about writing. I think there are many good books on writing out ther but most of them deal with the craft of writing not how to continue to make a living as a writer. I will defintely check all of those out. I have a lot of Amazon certificates.

There are a lot of books out their for writers, but those books have never really done any good for me. You just have to develop your own style and write what you feel.

You can't go wrong with books by Julia Cameron and/or Natalie Goldberg. I have a huge list of books on writing that have come highly recommended... none of which I have read yet, but I have read some books on writing. "Bird by Bird" by Ann Lamott is supposed to be an excellent book. "If You Want to Write" by Brenda Ueland, and "Stein on Writing" by Sol Stein also come highly recommended. I have read Natalie Goldberg's "The Artists Way" and "Chicken Soup for the Writer's Soul". I have on hand "No More Rejections" by Alice Orr, just haven't gotten around to reading it yet. Right now I have a book mark in the first page of Maeve Binchy's new book "The Maeve Binchy Writers' Club" which I will start reading this week.

Great for sharing, matie. I really want to get hold of such books, especially that I am just resuming my writing, shall we say, prowess. :)

Every writer needs to know how to sell their work successfully and find freelance markets. Books can be useful sources of knowledge, as long as they are up to date. With the internet there is a whole new worldwide market for the freelance writer. I have subscribed to several free online newsletters for freelance writers from sites like http://www.worldwidefreelance.com/ There is also my short article on how to take advantage of the writer's market http://www.helium.com/items/1144223-ways-a-freelance-writer-can-market-and-sell-their-writing-and-make-money-on-the
