OK honestly, how often do you get 'ticked off' a day? At work, school, mylot...

I'm hoping a lot of us go days and days without being 'ticked off'. But I think sometimes it is hard not to get annoyed or upset about the things we run into on a daily basis. I have to say the last week has had me on a tight rope. I didn't post about it, but I had to scramble this week to correct the mistakes a certain institution had made that was going to cost me a hundred dollars a month. You could say I was uptight, lol. Today I managed to do all I had to do to correct it, but I'm still waiting for them to correct it. And of course sometimes people on the internet, in chat rooms or mylot respond kind of snippy when you didn't mean anything. Or maybe you had a bad day, and you did mean something! But really, how many times a day do you think you have some of those unwanted feelings? Do they last long, or do you shrug them off?

I have many each and every day. It all starts each morning when I have to get out of bed. I have issues daily that need to be taken care of. I work some and others I let slide. I don't let myself worry over them though. Now days I am still dealing with dads fallo and the insurance claim over that. Then the health of dad each day weighs on me as well. My puter dieing and catching fire. Having to buy a new TV etc. Sooo many to list. But life goes on and I donm't fret actually. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hi AmbiePam, Well today I have had a day and a half and the only thing that really ticked me off was one of the young girls at work being on her mobile phone texting and calling all night long instead of working like she should be and the phone being locked in her locker like it should be too. It upset another staff member too so it wasn't just me but I tried to put it down to the fact that she was a teenager. I make excuses for most people because that is who I am but I think a institution costing me a $100 dollars a month because of their misteakes would have ticked me off too. Huggles. Ellie :D

When does being a teenager stop being an excuse for breaking rules and being lazy. Most of my coworkers are teenagers, and most of them work hard, this year. It was different ones last year, and I am grateful for the improvement, but I would like to be rid of one.

Hi GardenGerty, Yes some work extremely hard I agree but this one in particular seems to have her mobile as a permanent attachment but I think she will be told by management this morning as another member was going to say something, it doesn't help as she is another staff members daughter and thinks she can get away with it because of who her family are wich again is wrong. attitude has a lot to do with it, words on the internet can be interpreted in different ways, sometimes people really don't mean anything by what they say and others have taken it negatively, but I find if you keep your own attitude positive less and less of these things bother you,

I don't get ticked off as much as I used to. Sometimes I'm having a bad day and something just sets me off but otherwise, I'm usually pretty calm. Sometimes I get frustrated, which in my opinion is not as bad as getting ticked off. When I'm frustrated, I'm not angry, I'm just disbelieving of what is going on. When I'm ticked off, then I'm going to tell people why I'm ticked off.

I'm Bipolar, and basically, anything can tick me off. However, usually, I will have my Sam-E near by to help me calm down. Also, I always hide that i'm ticked off. I feel that if I start yelling at someone that's in the house, that will end up making them feel bad and upset with me- which then makes me feel depressed. So, it's basically a roller coaster. No, it never lasts long with me. Within 30 minutes or so, that upset feeling goes away and i'm happy again.

I try not to get ticked off very much throughout the day. My husband can at times get on my last nerve and drive me batty, but I try not to let it get to blow up point. But times he comes home from work or times he doesn't get to work and wants to make me his sounding board. I just go to another room sometimes. When I am in a foul mood I try to stay away from mylot so that it doesn't color my responses with bit'chiness because it can cause alot of problem and regrets later on. I do my other sites when a ticked off day is going on or I stay off the computer altogether.

Right now my big "tick off" is a co worker, who does not work. The agency I work for pays us all the same, rewards us all the same, for the most part. Most of my co workers are pretty good about at least trying to do a good job, but one just wants to mostly party, play, and often leaves things undone. I am fortunate that I have a lot of other good things to balance it though. Today has been a pretty terrific day.

Well for the most part I don't get ticked off until I got to bed then stew about things that have come up during the day. Then I get all upset and sometimes have a hard time letting go so I can go to sleep. During the day I am too busy! LOL....But if I am ticked I hold it in until I have a little free brain space....then I have a habit of blowing them out of proportion so the busier I am the better I am! LOL

I don't get ticked off very easily. I am a very mild mannered person and it would take a lot to tick me off. I have the patience of a cat and can wait as long as it take to tolerate things or people. I have only gotten ticked off once in mylot and that was when this girl was stalking me but she is now gone since mylot deleted her for it. Like I said, I am very tolerant so you can just imagine how much she had to do to tick me off. She followed me around for about 2 days till I finally notified mylot about her and got rid of her. She was so mean to me. I don't even know why she decided she didn't like me and started stalking me and posting awful things about me.

Morning Pam..Things happen everyday and sometimes i can't let it go and sometimes i try to find humor in it..it depends on how stupid i was at work..I'm tooo nice to people and trust to much, so when someone promises they will come back and pay the money they owe for an item from my store and give me a wrong phone number to call them, well i can get upset or say to myself.."Gee Rose you should have known by now"..lol..

Hey AmbiePam, I wish I would never get ticked off, but in life things happen and you just can't avoid it! I guess we could if we could live in a box or out in the wilderness where there are no people. But, since we can't unfortunately we have to deal with stuff all the time on a daily basis. So to answer your question, I get ticked off quite often. I try to remain calm and I actually am alot calmer then I used to be. I used fly off the handle at anything or anybody. I have learned to control myself through some nice anger management classes. Yes, they really work! So now I just try to ignore as much as I can and just walk away or not react if I can help it. But, don't push to hard because I am still capable of that occasional flip!

Did you really have anger management classes? If you did I'm glad they worked. I know people who have been required to go, and they spend their time just wanting it to be over with. I like that some people really do seem to grow from that. I think it wouldn't hurt if most of us had those. Even if we aren't angry all the time it could help us all for future situations.

i get tick off from my wife more often than at work and i got used to them it just some nagging here and there. like, not cleaning up the dishes properly, wasting $ on titbits, feeding my son with junk foods (haha, i simply enjoying doing it. i have been giving him coke, ice cream, french fries and he loved them. my wife doesn't allow me to but i do not bother and my son simply love me around cos he can has access to all sweet things). At work, i seldom get tick off as i am on good term with boss so life is not too difficult as we treat each other like a friend

In one day probably once but enough to ruin my week depending on how big an issue it is, I rarely got ticked off more than once in a day but more than once a month that is for sure something always happens and ticks me off it also depends on my mood and health sometimes. If I was not feeling well simple things could tick me off and in winter I am mostly not in a good mood so again simple things could ruin my whole week other than that I don't get ticked off easily and if I do I would forget it the day after

Every now now and then I do. I've had a good week so far with only one minor hiccup, but was able to get it sorted out quickly and move on.

I get extrememely ticked off when it comes to stupid drivers. I was driving to my college campus, and someone parked in the middle of one of the lanes that you drive through (not supposed to park in) and sent his m other must have been (she looked liek she was 80) to get a parking ticket. She was so slow! I dont know why hed send her. Finally she gets back in the car and Im relieve that ill finally be able to get a move on and find a space, then right when ehs about to go he starts backing into a space..backs up a little, stops for a minute, backs up a little, stops for a minute. I was almost 20 mins early for class. When i got into the class room I was only 5 minutes early. Thats how long the parking lot fiasco took. Made me so unbelievably mad.

Hi ambiePam I only get ticked off when my adult son sits and mopes and refuses to tell me what is stressing him out. It makes me want to whack him upside his head. as he will finally tell me and its something he should have told me four days before. He lets me sit and stew and worry instead. I dont think that is fair at all. I try to shrug it off but it makes me physically uncomfortable.
