Server down?

This is the error I now get tryiong to access my email account.
This is the email I use for mylotting and can't read any at all.
Funny thing is it is just the email account though as I get the regular page for the site etc. Have you ever have this problem at all with your email account?
Do you omly myLot via emails etc?
"Server Temporarily Unavailable
"We apologize, but the server that holds your account information is temporarily unavailable. This delay is not due to a problem with your account. You may notice that other users can sign in and get their mail, but this is because their accounts are on different servers.
We are working as quickly as possible to end this delay, so please check as often as you wish to see if you can sign in. If you keep seeing this message, it means the server is still unavailable. We appreciate your patience, and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience."
This bites as I use my mail for my mtlotting and not surfing mylots pages.

Its normal for a server to go offline or so forth, if you are really dissatisfied, just drop them a mail.
There are many reasons for such downtime, sometimes it is just scheduled maintenance, but sometimes more complicated stuff like server crashes can occur.

Turned out to be general maintanence.
But why just the email accouint and not the whole account is what confused me.
Oh well things are working now though.

The whole site is a host and the email page is on a seperate server for various customers. So that was qwhy mine was down but yet I could access the main page etc. Thanks.

lets hope my comment helps,
I believe it is because the mail server might be running off a different server. Hosting a site requires a server with http protocol, but for email, it is another protocol that usually will be running on a separate server.
What probably happened is that the mail server was under maintenance

I don't know about that. I only go to myLot through the actual site itself. I have never accessed it through my e-mails. I have never seen this error message. I hope the issue gets resolved soon. Hang in there.

I only go through the web site also. I have never tried to go through my email program. I didn't really know we could.

I guess they use a seperate server for my email account is all.
The other pages l;oaded but not the email page.
It works now though.

Hi dear
well it happen but very very rare
i myself do mylot through my hotmail, i dont surf in mylot pages as the emails and notifications i am getting are more than enough to keep me busy
i can imagine how irritated u r , but all i can do is Wish u all the best

That's very frustrating! That's why I use a throw-away account for myLot and other stuff. My email that's with my internet provider is private, only for family and stuff, everything else goes through mail dot com or gmail or another couple of accounts I maintain online. Good thing about that is that I can access them anywhere there's a computer.
Hope you have your mail back by now! I'm really behind in myLotting--I got a job that I like and it might be permanent! Sure cuts into my internet time but I'd rather make an hourly wage than scramble for whatever I can get over the net, ya know? Still, I can't quit myLot!

This could be very irritating. I used to have this problem earlier. But now with a WiFi connection from Airtel, I don't face these problems. Try changing over.

I also use my email for my notifications most of the time. Sometimes I just go on mylot when I am not getting any via email. I have never gotten anything like what you are getting. I have gotten one before that says something about can't retrieve email right then and sometimes I will just restart my aol and it is fine. I would hate to not be able to get in my email for any length of time. I hope it is working for you by now.

Hi Grandpa Bob, How frustrating, I have only ever experienced this oncee and it was for the account I use for myLot, it was only unavailable for a few hours so I just went into myLot and used the time to mark best responses and to answer through friends discussions and hot and top for a while. I hope it is back up and running soon for you. Ellie :D

i hope that by the time I am responding to this that you have it all worked out! I mean I hope that it is working correctly for you now. I just hate when things do not work the way they are supposed to!
