Men Love a Good Gossip Too! Do you think so?

Apparently whatever they might say, a study by a certain university has proved that men love a good gossip
just as much as us girlies!
According to this, men gossip too and it's not something that just the women or girls and housewives do..
What do you think? Is it true? Do men gossip too? I hate gossip of course but I will indulge my ears in a good gossip if I can't get away from it (e.g in the office..) as you do..
I can't help wondering how they carried out this study (maybe a survey, 'do you like to gossip?') and why? So, do you like to gossip? Do you reckon both species are prone to gossip and this is just something people do?

Hi marina321,
It is a fact that men are worse then women, they spend a lot of time prening themselves and yes gossip, my husband sometimes have his mate over for coffee after a bike ride and I would be Mylotting and not paying that attention but I can hear them talking and what I hear is they are gossiping about someone at their bike club, yes they are sometimes worse then women.

It is both members of the species, I have seen; I mean heard it in my office too, gossip about the bosses

yes they do. i have a lot of male friends and they love gossip. they are more interested on gossips than we women. i am in a band and have a lot of male friends and they like updates of gossips that happens. they said they are not gossip they are just concern YAH RIGHT!!! lol well that shows that they are only human

I don't like gossip, and I try not to take part in it, but sometimes you can't help but overhear...lol. I think men may gossip sometimes, they probably talk about so and so, and they heard so and so did this or that, but I think its mostly about men things, like hunting or fishing discussions, you know so and so caught a 30 lb. catfish, stuff like that...lol. I know I've heard my husband talking to other men about such things.

I love listening to stories but spreading gossip otherwise is a different thing. For me if it is something that is funny I listen to it but if it is about a person I really don't know about then I just don't listen at all.

honey i worked in a chemical plant with over 300 men and let me tell you not only do they gossip but they are worse than women when they do

Uh-huh! Interesting.. I think it may be the blunt way they'd go about it, in a matter-of-fact manner I'm guessing

My opinion is that both enjoy gossip...Gossip can be like folk-lore...passed down from person to person. And it depends on what the person is gossiping about...Celebs, friends, family, neighborhood? Some gossip can be good being that it relates us on common interests...Such as what is going on in the world and who is doing what...
All in all, a little bit of gossip, never hurt anybody...
And I have a best friend who is a male...We both are equivilant when it comes to gossiping!

Of course men love gossip just as much as women! They lie if they say they don't. They are just as nosy as we are. It is just human nature. My husband asks me what is up with people we know too. So, I don't believe it when men say they don't gossip.

I do think that men like a good gossip too. They like to pretend that they are above it but, they still gossip too. Instead of gossiping about a neighbor, it might be about their boss. It could be about a family member. But, they do gossip. So, the next time a man in your life tells you he doesn't like gossip, laugh at him and ask him how his boss is. LOL!

There's a different between gossip and reality story but i think men do the same things like women did sometimes

Oh yes men love to gossip at my job. They are worse then us women as a matter of fact. You know that he said this and she said that. It is crazy. They alway's tell me I know everything and I really don't It's just when they come to me with it I just agree and say yes I heard that and your wrong. And then it stops right there. I would sooner talk about the weather or my kid or there kids. Other then the people that we work with. Your friend onlydia.

I think men loves a good gossip too especially when its about the girl they met or their basketball game or anything under a man's sun. LOLs... Anything about their cars and their friends car. They even engaged themselves to girly talk and adds their manly expertise upon the issue. I have guy friends who really listen to us girls' gossips. And when the manly in them gets in the way of the talk they speak out for their opinion and sake. I like having debate with a man and listening to gossip men does.

i think men love gossip too when it come to himself... for example, a male student want to know what the gurl talking and goossip about.. maybe about that guy.. whos know.. so, gossip also occur in men's life..

I wish my husband loved a bit of a gossip (my friend's husband does, and comes home from work every day and tells her all sorts of interesting things!) but sadly, mine doesn't. He actually thinks it's wrong to pry into people's personal business, and doesn't want to know what his colleagues are up to. It's not that I want to talk about other people, but it would be nice to have a cosy chat. I certainly hate lies and rumours though, and won't get into that sort of thing.

Ofcourse they like it, maybe love it even! Not all of them ofcourse! Everybody loves to unwind and entertain themselfs sometimes, but that is not way many guys love to do it, but lots of them....yes.
Talking about me, i dont like to gossip very much but i dont mind if i do! If its fun, if its farmless, everything is good :D

I hate gossip too. it depends to the person, there's a women that they like gossip everyday, others not also. Same there's a men do gossip, but others not too. So it depends.

at first ,we say women love a good gossip,it is true ,we can prove it,most women are fond of being quiet,and most men like to move ,when men move all the time he have no time to gossip,on the other hand ,our women have chance to gossip,but it is not absolutly,if men don not like move ,he may love goood gossip haha
