If you think you can't make extra money online, think again...

Back in May, I saw a programme on TV that had a short clip about making money online. I was skeptical at first but set myself a little challenge to research, look into and try and test a few money making sites. Six months down the line, without spending too much time online than I would have or breaking my back, doing a few bits while at my day job sometimes (like surveys and myLot) and at home other times, nothing some days and a bit of effort another day; the below are the payments I have received in my PayPal account so far. 13 Oct. 2008 Payment From Completed Details £4.00 GBP £0.00 GBP £4.00 GBP 10 Oct. 2008 Payment From Completed Details $20.32 USD $0.00 USD $20.32 USD 9 Oct. 2008 Payment From Completed Details $52.39 USD -$2.34 USD $50.05 USD 16 Sep. 2008 Payment From Completed Details £5.00 GBP £0.00 GBP £5.00 GBP 13 Aug. 2008 Payment From Completed Details £1.00 GBP £0.00 GBP £1.00 GBP 13 Aug. 2008 Payment From Completed Details £5.00 GBP £0.00 GBP £5.00 GBP 12 Aug. 2008 Payment From Completed Details $20.83 USD $0.00 USD $20.83 USD 29 Jul. 2008 Payment From Completed Details £5.00 GBP £0.00 GBP £5.00 GBP 1 Jul. 2008 Payment From Completed Details £5.50 GBP £0.00 GBP £5.50 GBP 23 Jun. 2008 Payment From Completed Details £5.00 GBP £0.00 GBP £5.00 GBP 16 Jun. 2008 Payment From Completed Details £5.00 GBP £0.00 GBP £5.00 GBP 5 Jun. 2008 Payment From Completed Details £5.00 GBP £0.00 GBP £5.00 GBP 27 May 2008 Payment From Completed Details £15.00 GBP £0.00 GBP £15.00 GBP 22 Apr. 2008 Payment From Completed Details $4.00 USD $0.00 USD $4.00 USD (I have edited out the Origins of payments) In conclusion to the experiment that has turned into a hobby, one can actually make extra money online doing a number of things. How much you make depends on how much time and effort you put in. I have not had much time but looking back, I could've made more than the above if I put more effort and time in.. I am still awaiting two $50 payments and vouchers requested. I am sure there's other sites that pay but I am done test-driving for now and will continue to update my blog. Are you skeptical? Do you think you can make money online? Did you used to be doubtful but actually being paid by the sites changed your mind? Are you just trying it out to see what it brings? Have you realised you can actually make money online or do you need to think again...about calling everything a scam?

Sometimes, earning money online is on the way. I don't know which one is a scam. But I've already got $12 from mylot. It feels so good!

That's alot of payments on that list of yours.. haha ^_^ But why will u exclude the origins of payments?? Well, i do believe it's possible to earn extra money online, but that cant be a job, for income.. Because it's gonna be hard work and even longer hrs as compared to real work outisde, but the earnings will never be the same as those proper jobs.. ONline earnings can only be something extra for us to spend on little things, and help to pay off some bills, but not to feed oursleves ^_^

I believe including the payment origins may lead to the discussion being deleted as it may be perceived as promotion? I dunno.. However, if you have not visited my blog yet, all the details and payments from each site are listed there.. Feeding oneself? Depends on how much one earns and your location, currency... The £110 I've earned could feed us for sometime but anyway, I already have a full time job that does that. This was a little experiment to see if one can really make money online in their spare time, answer is yes

well, this discussion coincidence with the discussion that i just created about 30 minutes ago... i'm not sceptical about earning money online at all because i had been doing that since 2004 and i had gotten the real money in my hand many times... in fact, i just transferred another lump sum of money from my paypal account to my bank account last saturday and i receive it this morning in my account... so i am really happy... take care and have a nice day...

I just checked out your discussion.. Congs on the PayPal cash! I have about £84 of the total £110 I have received in my PayPal account now, I have re-invested some of my earnings and the rest are still in my PayPal account. I will transfer the funds when I hit £100 which shouldn't be long now I have some high street vouchers that I am yet to spend but I will spend them this weekend, the rest is going towards bills Happy spending!

Hi friend! Well I have never doubted online earnings. That's why I got scammed on my first try and learned from it. Now I am careful in joining sites and don't invest from my own pocket money but only invest back my online earnings. I am also maintaining my chosen online earning sites and trying to improve it. I have made a blog about them and hopefully can help others to earn in their spare time. It's hard to convince people that they can earn money online. Right now I just applied for a debit card and will try to withdraw some money from my Paypal account and prove everyone I know that it's possible. Ciao!

I also only ever invested from my online earnings but even then, I have only re-invested less than £20 and the rest is sitting in my PayPal account I also have a blog that I regularly update and you can catch a glimpse of it in my profile page with all the sites I am using..

That's an interesting report about your online earning. Yup, there are good sites that actually pay and there are scam sites that are waiting to rip you off. All we need to do is to research on the sites before joining them so that we do not waste our time and sometimes money joining the scam sites. By the way, do you have the list of programs that paid you in your profile? I would love to take a look at them. Cheers!

I think that it is fantastic that you've made some extra money. But have you worked out how many hours you put in to achieve that extra money? If it is more than 20 then you'd be better off getting a "real" job. Say a paper round. However, I suspect that for many of us it is the attraction of money for nothing (very much). When I am in full flow I make between $30 - $40 per month from myLot. But the hours that it takes to get there don't bear thinking about! Well done, but I'm still not convinced that MOST online get rich quick schemes are anything but a scam or so difficult to work in real life as to not be worth the effort.

Hi p1ke, I already have a well paying full time 'real' job and I did some of the surveys, reviews and myLot while at work sometimes or in my spare time at home which is not much so I would not say it took me too many hours..few here and there. I work in IT so most of the time I used, I'd be infront of my PC anyway.. These are also not get rich quick schemes and I do not believe in those, I am talking surveys, reviews and the like, all FREE to join and I have them listed on my blog with the updates and payments from each. I do not really need the money as some who do this may do, this was a little experiment started a few months ago that turned into a hobby. I think the answer to whether one can make extra money online has been answered for me,Yes...and I have earned £110 and £20 worth of vouchers to prove it so far Could I have made more if I wanted to? Yes but I've got a life too..

I've never thought about making money online - I think you'd need to be sitting in front of the computer all day long to make it pay - and if I was willing to do that, I could be out doing a 'proper' job and being paid a good wage. I feel a bit guilty spending too much time on the computer anyway - I've certainly put on weight and I'm not getting enough exercise. I'm glad it works for some people, though - and it would be handy if you couldn't get out to work.

I am infront of the PC most days at work as it's the nature of my 'proper' job, I take a few surveys and myLot if it's quiet.. I must say my job pays well so I do not really need to make money online, it was an experiment that I happened to enjoy doing...

I need more time to do mine. As I come here and I get stuck here.Or I end up playing my games and there I'm stuck for hours playing and chatting away. My survey's go undone. Well, today I did them and I lost my money I could of made as they were now closed. Oops oh well, there is another day. I like doing things that make money online but in my time. So sometimes I have to make myself do them. Your friend onlydia

hi marina I have been making about seventy extra dollars ev ery month with mysurvey and with mylot, just those two so yes you can make money online . but not all surveys are equal. some will never let anyone over fiftyh qualify for their surveyss so you must find the ones that do wo rk with older people. I am wellsatisfied for now, If I find others that do work for me I might sign up but my time is now pretty much filled. So I just stick to what works for me and let the others pass me by.

So what was this wonderful site you were using to make some decent money online. Obviously mylot isn't a high payer but it is fun to do. I've done surveys in the past and it was hardly worth it. You get paid $1 for like 30 minutes on a survey. I ended up making my money back and maybe like an extra $10 bucks and quite it. Plus it spammed the heck out of my home computer. I'm looking for a good site like the one you are talking about. What is it?

I am using various free GPT sites and all are listed on my blog.. They do include surveys and review sites. I haven't had problems with spam from survey sites, these have a no spam policy. You should try Lightspeed and PineCone Research which are some of the most reputable..
