Which do you like to use? The oven or the microwave oven?

I am sure if you have the right recipes, you can churn out pretty good dishes with the microwave as well. For me, I too love baking and would love to get an oven to start on something that I have not done in a long time! I sure hope I can redesign my kitchen and this time, I am gonna include an oven in the design! So, you mentioned you love to bake. What kind of baking are you into? Pastries? Cookies? Pies? Cakes?

Definantly the oven...I hate using a microwave only for defrosting thats about it....

For regular crusted pizza, lasagna, and pot pies and baking cookies, I use the oven. but I use the microwave for t.v. dinners and thin and crispy pizzas.

I think i like the mircorwave more. Because i could almost cook anything in it, i could even heat my cup of drink in the microwave, cook eggs in it, cook noodles in it. I think the only think a microwave cant do is to make toasted bread.hehe.

I prefer to use microwave oven for speed up heating.Where everything nowadays are instant, microwave does the job quickly.

I feel like the oven is the healthiest choice, but I use the microwave a lot. The microwave is easy and fast and sometimes that is how the meals need to be done. Like dinner tonight, I have no idea what to make so I will probibly microwave something out of a can.

I prefer the microwave because it heats up food quicker than a stove.

I usually use an oven for most things I cook. My microwave is about 15 years old and doesn't cook the food evenly. I see recipes of microwaves today that I could never do with my microwave. I love my oven because the food tastes better and cooks better. I also heard that microwaves cook out the good stuff but I don't know how true that is? But if I had to have just one, it would be an oven.

i love to cook in the oven mostly and do baking.i only use the microwave for heating and simple cooking things.i feel the oven creates better flavours and i suppose i am just use to cooking and baking in the oven.cheers sue

If i am cooking a meal or baking i perfer the oven, if on the other hand i am heating something up i go for the microwave.

I am not yet used to oven but like to own a one in mere time. I feel its comfortable and at this gas cost its better to use electricity as well i too own a one and may cook all the best i can. Hapyy mylotting

microwave oven or oven.i choose oven if i have time and i want to achieve better taste.but if i need to rush,i prefer microwave oven,since oven consume a lot of time to get same results as microwave,but taste different.but when you are in rush,who cares,right?but on the healthy side,oven is much better.less rediation than microwave oven,even the name speaks for itself.i vote oven!

Probably all of you know this already, but just in case: do not boil water in a microwave oven. Water can get superheated (heated to more than 100 degrees celsius), and then boil explosively, with the potential of causing injuries if you are nearby. That said, I agree with most everyone that for heating, is the most efficient way. Now, if you want something heat and crusty, you better have an oven that is most microwave and conventional, or have both. I do heat filled pastries first in a microwave and then in an electric oven, is faster than doing it only in the electric, but better in final experience than doing it only in the microwave.

depends on what you want to do... my microwave oven is only good for re-heating things, or simply boil or steam something.. i use my oven to bake things..

Of cource.Microwave oven heat foods better than make foods.

I have a mcrowave oven in my kitchen and it is used for heating up food and the only food that I cook using the microwave is macaroni cheese. Its yum!!! Got the recipe from the internet.

in my home we dont have the microwave owen..so for all cooking we are using hte noraml owen only..it is better to my mom to use..i too like to cook with it..habe a nice time in mylot..
