As kids we used to do that Bala, till one day we got caught by one of the elders and got a good dressing down. Can't think of playing that cat and mouse game now , rather be direct and find out what i wan to know.

Not as an adult...but I remember doing it once for a friend when I was a teenager. We were all crazy then...and she wanted some message to be passed on to a guy but he would recognize her voice. I don't remember the message or what it was about....but I remember making the call to the guy...and if my memory is right...I think a bunch of us girls made it and a couple of us were talking one at a time through two phones. Must have confused the poor guy!

What if he appears before you right now and said that he found out the girl who called him and has been waiting for her all these years?

Yes, I used a fake accent and tried to make my voice a different pitch. I used a pay phone where no one was shopping, the store was closed and the phone was outside. Tires were being burned in a heating plant where I worked. The dark smoke was going into my work area window. The proper channels had been tried by our Union. I was getting sick and missing work. I wondered what it was doing to my lungs.

If found out, I could have been written-up, fired or at least put on probation or fined or at least had my pay docked. But I figured 100 people new about it, prove it was me. They never new.

When I was a child ,we had a neighbour who was always buying lottery tickets, and was very greedy. One day some of us,including his son, got together and decided to play a prank on him. We called him over phone ,read out his ticket number, and told him he had won the first prize and to collect the money.....He was so happy and there was lots of shouting and celebration in his house.....People started visitng him to congratulate him.. We realized that things would soon get out of hand,so went to his house and informed him that it was we who had telephoned him and that it was a prank...Before he could react,we shouted "April fool" and ran out of his house,at a speed which will put P.T.Usha to shame.....

No, I have never done that. Someone made stupid anonymous calls to me, claiming they were having an affair with my husband. LOL I just laughed, and called the police. I didn't have call display at the time, so I used *69 to trace the number, and see who was calling me. As soon as I figured out who was calling me, I gave their number to the police, and they stopped the problem.

Hahaha... you will never cease to make me smile, Bala. We used to do it a lot number of times in our teens may be. We used sit with the directory and used to ring blank and open. Those days mobies were not common so it was the landlines and that saved us from being caught and embarrased. Luckily most household did not have caller IDs. As a grown up I ever actually could do it. But recently we were seriously upto it. My cousin sister was anxious to know about the whereabouts of her ex and she asked me to call his house as a telecaller. She in fact made me rehearesed with the accent the telecallers speak, theway they try to convince and stuff like that. but guess what, I couldn't do it. Blame it on whatever butI just couldn't.

Last week I was waiting for my daughter at her bus stop. A bus blew through a 3 way stop. I called transportation. I wasn't asked my name, and I didn't give it.

Yes I have done so maybe once or twice but only to find out if the person i called up is at home or in his office or maybe I just wanted to ask for some information and i did not want the person who answered to know that it was me.There was no malicious intention but just for the purpose of getting some information without the person answering knowing it was me.
