Last week,my foreign teacher told me that if Obama were the president of America, many workers in China will lose their jobs.More policies that appeals to the black will be made by Obama. That means the black will reap more benefit from the white. As a result, the white will not continue to buy non-essential production made in China. However I do not agree with him,now that the white will get less money ,they may buy things made in China for they are much cheeper that those made in America. Then the foreign teacher said, people in America have always been buying production made in China.Do you agree with my foreign teacher .Let's start the discussion but do not too strict with the racial problems.Let's go..

I think you need to get another foreign teacher and request a refund on your tuition. Your teacher is filling you with lies and mistruths. If you've ever taken the time to watch a Barack Obama rally, you'll notice that he has a diverse following. You can watch some of his rallies at the following link: http://www.barackobama.com It almost sounds like you want an American President to be more concerned about the welfare of the Chinese worker than the welfare of African American citizens who works and sacrifice for our country just like White citizens do. The American workers have lost so many good paying jobs to countries that pay their workers little or nothing. How long do you think we can continue this trend? Someone has to step in and correct this issue. I'm sorry if Barack Obama's policies frighten you, but you have to realize that we need to get our economy back on track and if that means doing what's best for the American worker, then that's what Barack Obama will do. P.S. When you decide to discuss American politics, it's best if you leave the race issue out of the equation. Both Blacks and Whites have the same goals. We both want affordable housing, good paying jobs, good education and affordable healthcare. We are not as divided as you may think. Lloyd

I'm not sure what you mean, but think of it this way. When America has it's house in order, people throughout the world benefit from our imports and exports. So it is in the best interest of workers in India and China that we address what's wrong here in America. Once we fix the problem, everyone will benefit. Just don't expect to go back to the days when good paying American jobs are being shipped all over the world. You can expect new trade agreements that are fair to the American people and not so one-sides. In other words, under a Barack Obama administration, there will be a level playing field. Lloyd

I see in the newspaper some Chinese workers have already lost their jobs. So, workers losing jobs can not be laid entirely at the feet of whoever is the next President. What is the problem causing workers to lose jobs? Americans have been unwilling to elect honest politicians able to not spend more money than comes in from taxes. This actually, believe it or not, can cause workers, not only in America, but also in China to lose jobs! How? In the USA when the government or anyone spends more money than they have, they 'borrow' the money to spend. In the USA and many other countries, when anyone 'borrows' money, the amount of money in circulation is increased. It is complicated to explain how this happens, but it is true. When too many people 'borrow' too much money, too fast, the amount of money increases too much for the money to have any value. The money slowly becomes less valuable. As money becomes less and less valuable it creates problems for the people who loan money. How do they make a profit? As the people who loan money have problems, the people who start business have problems. When the people who start and have businesses have problems, people lose jobs. When people in America lose jobs they do not have money to buy things people in China make. Then people in China lose jobs. So, the problem is that undiciplined, short sighted, stupid Americans will not elect good politicians who will tell the truth that we can not spend money on all the things people want the government to do. Americans and their government just spend too much money.

So, it will not be the fault of 0bama, if elected, that people in China lose jobs. People in China are going to lose jobs, as are Americans. Even if John McCain is elected.

I do not think blacks will reap benefits that should have gone to whites if 0bama is elected President. Sure, there will be some attempts at that kind of favoritism, but it won't last, I think.

Ok,in some ways I agree with you.You analyzed the process of how people losing their jobs thoroughly. But the key is whether the black will reap more benefit that ought to be the white's if Obama were the president. So far, that who will be the president will not stop the job losing .But will more people in China or other countries except USA lose jobs??Maybe it will be proved in the following monthes.

I don't think it would hurt China, actually I think it would help other countries because companies will leave the U.S. to escape high taxes and the U.S. will be more dependent on importing of products. Online over seas companies will make money because those companies in the U.S. will up their price tag on product so it would be cheaper to buy items and have them shipped to us then to buy it in our stores...depending on the product of course. As far and black and white, it's not a racial thing at all. There are an awful lot of rich black men just like white. Black or white if you have the money you can afford to spend it and we are all human beings with wants and needs.

First of all, I buy everything that I can that says MADE IN USA, mainly because this is my country and I believe I should support what the workers make here. Second of all many little businesses here has already told their workers if he adds more taxes to them they will close or lay off most of them, so yes he will make more on the street without a job. Yes I think he will reap for the blacks, I heard a black judge on TV yesterday say that 45 years later he was finishing what Martin Luther King started, I don't think Kings idea was to put people out of work, no matter what color they was, Kings thought we should all have a chance for the american dream, and he sure is putting and end to it. He believes that our money is his money and he wants to spread it around, since when is it his place to decide when you have made enough money and start to levey more taxes on you. What incentive is there now to try and achieve a higher income or get a higher position if he is going to tear it down with taxes. I don't know about anyone else, but a few if we pick up something in the store now that says made in China we put it down, it is time we started taking care of the usa and spending our money on american made items. Let me ask you, do you buy mostly American made items? It isn't racial to not want to vote for him, it is the fact he has no experience in foreign affairs and his own VP said that within 6 months there will be a crisis here in the usa because they will know he is weak and can not or will not have the knowledge to stop them. When his own man says that about him, it makes me wonder why he is so much in demand. I think most of his votes is from workers that have lost their jobs and hope for some how he will make a difference. He says government will create jobs, since when is it governments place to create jobs, jobs are created by a new company coming to your area, or a new product being added to the already working company, not by government. I think this man talks a good talk and he has all the new voters, the young ones that this is their first time to vote and do not understand what it means with foreign affairs. He says Iran is a small country and not dangerous to us, how stupid can he be, Iran is the one we should be watching the most. I believe it when they say we will be hit within 6 months and I feel for this country, not only does he have no idea as to how to handle a crisis, when you decide that you will spread the wealth, that to me is socialism.

Ok,I have known you are not for Obama. You buy the goods made in American in the condition that the market has lots of goods made in China. However ,to most ordinary people in China ,they will buy local things for it's much cheeper compared with USA's.The items made in USA always get a high taxes when transported to China.

jingke no I most assuredly do not. The president whoever he will be is not the law maker he just guides andno matter who gets in that man will try his utmost to promote more jobs for the american workers. Obama will do this, and even McCain will try to do this. As for us buying from China we will continue to do so as long as their products are worth buying, but we are leery from some of the things that have happened to some products we bought. No workers will not lose their jobs if Obama were president. this is just more stupid propaganda, it is so meaningless as to be pathetic.

Your statement that Barack Obama will only benefit himself and his party is doesn't make very much sense. If you take the time to do any research on Barack Obama's campaign you'll notice that his main focus is on the dwindling American middle-class. These are the ones who've lost good paying jobs to countries like India and China. Middle class people are the engine that makes our country run. Without a vibrant middle-class, Indian and Chinese manufacturers will have no one to sell their products to. I think you see the results of this right now as Chinese manufacturing plants are closing their doors. You should also do a little research and learn that we do not like being called "negroes". By you using this term, it shows me that you have a lot to learn about the people of the United States. Those so called "negroes" play an important role here in the United States. We sacrifice just like everyone else for the better of our country. I suggest that you pay a visit to http://wwww.barackobama.com and read up on his plans for the American people, not the Democrats or the "negroes". Lloyd

If Obama should do something like that them it would have meant that all what the black leaders were fighting for was done in vain. Racism has to cut out and to do what you are suggesting will be only encouraging racism. Black person does not like racism and we are very proud of our race. It would be a proud moment for each and every black person if Obama should win but not to continue the racism no. He should embrace everyone and work as a united leader. Racism to the blacks were horrible but that does not mean he should now do it to the white. We are all one no matter the skin tone. Racism is hatred and what Obama should do is spread love, peace and humilty and then the whole world will follow because no matter what America is the trendsetter whether you guys want to believe it yes or no.

The economic situation is very difficult around the Globe of course this world somehow is all tide up to the US economy. Even the Chinese will eventually suffer the embatle of the US constrict financial situation. I agree with your statement that the world will keep buying from the Chinese because is cheaper, and when you have less money to be selective you have to reach for the cheaper version. Besides the Chinese buy the raw material from the world to process their goods and resale them to the world 1/3 of this raw material are bought from the US. If Mr. Obama wins I think the American people will have some problems Unifying and that's what they need right now, act Together. I thought that United States of America where ready for an Afro-american President, but it looks that not yet! We'll see next 11/4. Even if he wins (and everything points that he will)the economy will keep rolling down because it hasn't hit bottom yet, while Banks around the world keep falling in trouble we haven hit bottom yet. No matter who wins the White House next November the situation will be there next day and it will be as serious as today if not worst.

My concern with this whole mess is what will happen to American jobs? Should jobs in China be a top priority with the mess we have here in this country? I personally don't think Obama will help anything. The man has no experience at all- how can he fix anything? I don't care what color his skin is- why does this have to be involved with the campaigns at all? Why does this have to be an issue? I don't care if we have a black president- the only thing that matters is getting someone in there who has experience and who cares about the future of this country. I personally trust McCain to keep us safe (like we have been since 9/11) and to keep us that way. We have to remember that we are not really voting for one person we are voting for a political party. One person does not make the decisions alone.

lol the president doesn't have that much power. obama may want to do that, but there are many other heads he's got to go through. The u.s. government is not a monarchy. also there will be no changes in our current business model. its customary in an election to promise change, and tell people what the media says they want to hear, and also customary to break every one of those promises when in office. example bill clinton. lol he stuck it to everyone. he pissed the dems off more than the pubs. anyway there will be no difference in our import of chinese goods, its always been high, and will remain so.

I understand that this is a tight race and people's tensions are high about both candidates. However, I don't think that EITHER candidate is going to do something to try to hurt American jobs. What you have to remember about the presidential campaign is that as nasty as it certainly can get at times, both candidates have in mind the well-being of Americans and, indeed, world citizens. Regarding jobs in China, I don't see any reason that Obama being elected (or McCain being elected, either) would have any significant effects on Chinese jobs. China has it's own massive economy, which is irrespective of the United States presidency.

I am really not sure about the whole "racial" thing of the Obama as president thing, but I would not be entirely happy if he won. I feel that there would be many complications in all of the world if he were to become president. I am not so sure that they would be racial related, but maybe more towards the economic and basic politics side of it.

It is a prediction as Bernake thiks that by cutting dooalr interest rate will liven the stck market. It didi not happened. This year more than 4 times dollar inteterst lowered, but where the dow jones on last friday? I do not think Obama or anyone can handle the present financial situation. It is deep recession, now world markets are following suit of USA financial market. The situation will take its own time to heal from the severe financial illness. Nothing will improve or become worse than waht it is now - if Obama becomes the president of USA.
