Archaeologists in Israel discovered a 3000 year-old bit of pottery with inscriptions that connect to the time of King David. This was found in an area 20 miles from Jerusalem, close to where the Biblical story of David and Goliath took place.

Now if Archaeologists can find some evidence of the historical David we might have a good story. The Archaeologists who has a reputation of doing bad science. He starts with the premise that the Bible is accurate and then tries to prove it by twisting facts to validate his premise.

The Bible is much more than a quotable 'history text'. Some speculate that the parables within are designed to teach lessons to those of a future age.

I heard on the Discovery Channel that the flood story was based on a big flooding of some river in the middle east. A salesman and his sons had to rescue a bunch of critters so they could take them to market. If this is true I cannot say...

There is massive evidence of a world wide flood. beneath the ocean encircling the entire globe, there is a massive ridge. this speaks of when the bible says the waters issued forth fom the earth. this is how the first ever rain fell.also many dinosaur skeletens have been found bunched together at the base of mountains, suggesting they were trying to escape the rising waters. fossil formation and rock layers can be explained by sudden overload of water encapsulating everything, and the receding waters took a long time to ebb to form the layers.

The Bible is a collection of many books with many truths. Not all the material is plain, much of it is in parables. The parables are designed to teach lessons.
