Prank calls to start my day.....

I remember having very immature friends as a kid who would prank call the operator asking for all kinds of peoples numbers. After a handful of calls the operator must have got annoyed and told my friend she had called the police out to the phone box. She couldn't have ran fast enough and never prank called again. It is something you could try in case you run out of patience!

That's not a great way to start the day. Can't you take some kind of action against prank calls. I would be looking at lodging a complaint to my telebommuciation company, and they would probably give that person a warning. Try and have a nice day, even though your patience is being tested so early.

y do you say these calls are montored and we know where ya live lol

I would turn my phone off or have my number changed or something. That would drive me crazy.

then be FRANK to tell that kid to knock it off.... har har har. well kids sometimes do something like that. my nephew even called jollibee three times without anybody noticing it. the mother only found out when the people from jollibee called and told the mom what her son did. well kids are kids we really need to keep an eye on them even when they are sleeping

Well, maybe you should warn her that you will call the police if she keeps going at it, I think there will be a point that if she keeps doing it, and makes it a habit, you're going to have to do something. Kids!

oh! I must say its a nice surprise. A kid is making prankcalls. what actually she wants? also why she is calling customer care?

well that is irritating. but in your line of work you really need patience. i can say that it is more easy to have patience in the line of your work for people dont see your face. you can make faces just to release the tension without them seeing it.... , not like us singers we need to give this smile even we want to scream. but still both of us in your field and in mine needs a lot of patience.

I am surprised in your line of work they don't have caller ID or some way to trace a call to prevent that..Do you get these often?

Hello, SOrry to hear about the day starting like that . it can be a bother and more of a bother depending on what kinda day you are having . Last winter we got prank calls at night around the wee wee hrs and they would wake us up . Thankfully they stopped . kids get bored if you dont fight with them or they cant get a rise outta ya . Hopefully you will have more peaceful days

I got a lot of something like that too, on our phone then on my cell phone when our landline got disconnected - and I'm not even in your line of work! Same source same kid too, quite frazzling, really. You have a wonderful attitude towards it, . Have a good day! Happy mylotting!

Sorry about your day and the prank call. Yes you would think she would get fed up after ringing eleven times. Can you phone her number? Tell her shes got a wrong number or something or tell her your the police. Shes a wee rascal. Well hope she gets bored and leaves you alone. I am sure you get some strange calls at that centre though.

well i see you didn't let it get to you lol. I used to have people prank phone call me at work or at my home, i think i got pretty mad a few times and they stopped for a long time then started again. So i just ignored it and made up excuses that i wasn't who they were looking for or that i wasn't home. Lol

This reminds me of when I was little. My cousin and I used to call different numbers just to talk to people. We would play house or whatever and would dial the phone. Sometimes we would get someone sometimes it would just ring. We never meant any harm. Now that I have children I will watch them closely when it comes to the phone, but I know kids will be kids, and sometimes its easier to realize that then to let it get on your nerves. It's nice to know there are people like you out there who understand that somethings are harmless, and that you can take a joke now and again. Take care, and hopefully these kids will become bored with the telephone. :-)

thats a good attitude then...when we had still the land line phone we used to received prank calls almost everyday..that we had it reported to the phone company....and find out that its always the children who had nothing to do at home who always do the trick on us..well atleast we know...but right now since the emergence of cellphone we decided to cut it off ....

Pranks re always annoying but you have a wonderful way to deal with :) Indeed maybe she needs someone to "play with" Does she talk to you at all when she calls? If she does , maybe playing along even further could help you figure out the "why" behind the calls Anyway you have a golden patience , congratulations on your self-control:)

How sad and funny at the same time. I think I would tell her that you have caller ID and can call her mother or call the police. That might scare her.
