Cheater Member

I read one topic here, about how new members in MyLot just don't post a good enough topic, sometimes even only 1 line discussion, just to earn some money here. Complaining, that the quality of discussion here has decreased. I tell you worse. But first you got to know, that I am a new member here, but I try to be a honest member. I love the money, but i will not do anything at any cost, just to earn money here. But yesterday, I read an article on someone's blog, stating that his brother can make up to $18 everday here in MyLot by cheating the system. He uses a proxy program (whatever it's name. Sorry I have IT blidness :) )/anomyzer to hide his IP and create many account here with different user's name. So he has a group of people, who are actually he him self. He starts a dicussion, makes some responds to the discussion he makes, and does that thing again and again. Cheater! I wonder.....how far someone can go...just to earn money on the internet? Cheating, hacking, and what else? Shame on him.

Serious?!? Report his butt to the admin then! Is it really that easy to do that? I sure hope he does not make the admins take drastic measures to curb our usage here. Darn cheaters! Why can't they just post like they are suppose to. If mylot dilutes our efforts at posting due to these jerks, I would be really disappointed! Expose the joker who is cheating the system! Post the link to the blog post! Better yet, copy and paste the content here for all to see as an example of what not to do!

Well, I am really curious to know which blog you read? To generate $18 a day is no joke. Given one cent per post, you are talking about 1800 posts or replies or responses leh! How in the world is one able to generate this kinda traffic alone? You still got the link to his fellow's blog post?

Well, as I said before, I only read it on someone's blog, stating that his brother can earn up to $18 a day. I didn't get a name. But, from his story, I can conclude these things: 1. He made a group of member 2. He uses a translation program, which is not a good one, so the grammar is weird. I'm not saying bad grammar!!!! but...weird grammar, 3. so if you notice, same group always....always.....involved in a discussion, and all of them, using funny n weird grammar , it might be him Don't get me wrong. I'm not accusing anyone, and I really mean "weird", not bad grammar, for my grammar is bad too. This weird grammar is usually like an unconnected sentece, for it is translated per word not a whole sentence. Even if the program can translate one sentence, it will still be unusuall, for the translated sentence is made in his language perspective, not English perspective. His language is happen to be mine too, for we are from the same country. So I know how messy the sentence will be, if it is made in our language perspective/perception, then blidly translated using translator program into English.

Unfortunately, cheaters can be found anywhere. There is just not much one can do about it but report them, if you encounter them. My bet is this guy not only has his alternate user IDs respond to his discussions but also has a downline of referrals from those in order to make more money. Should be easy enough to catch, if mylot goes looking for that. All I can say is, what goes around comes around. And Karma is a b$tch!

at least he is a creative cheater. he isnt really hurting anyone. maybe he lives in a crappy area and desperate for work, and this is his main income.

Does that justify him? I think not. He could put his knowledge towards something that would earn for him in a legal manner and not by cheating!

You are suggesting that anyone who is in the condition you describe has a right to become a criminal? Cheating the myLot system to earn is illegal and I do not see ANY reason why anyone should agree that someone has a right to do it. Next he would be allowed to rob a bank?

maybe he lives in a third world country and desperate for money. he is poor and needs to feed his starving children and no one will hire him and there are no jobs in his area.

That is sad Some people will do whatever it takes to earn a few dollars online. I hope this person gets caught! Newbies often do start bad discussions of one line, like what's your favorite ice cream and they themselves do not answer it. Not much to discuss in those cases. It would be better if they at least explained what their answer to the question was and why they answered like that

I'm new here, less than a week, but in this short time i saw members with 1000+ post that start a discussion and reply to not just a few, but every singly response with thanks or i agree.

Well I guess it depends on their response. But i've also noticed that not every member expresses themselves as well as others. If its that big of an issue maybe the makers of mylot should look into ways of controling it.

English is not my native tongue and i don't mind some users having grammar errors, but i see lots of discussion that make so little sense, that i cannot even guess what they tried to say.

Well it proves that new or senior has nothing to do with the discussion content or quality. It depends on the person...I guess. Well, my grammar is not really good either. And I appreciate all bros and sis for their understanding.

Note the phrase 'quality posts' used in the preceding reply. I have read a lot of discussions on this subject and apparently it is the quality and length of any posts that make the difference. It seems that posts or comment of only one or two lines don't get counted. This is a great place to practice our writing skills and I've read that it is also helping those who are trying to improve their English. I'm grateful to mylot for providing this community and for all the great people I'm meeting here.

I have seen one of those things in here but he was caught easily because he used alphanumeric names that is why it is easy ti trace them. But for those that uses anonymizer then that is really a problem especially when he uses different login names. Oh well I don't think he is playing fairly but then I think he must be doubling his work as he is just logging in with different names and then posting.

Everyone of us started here from scratch and do not know a thing the working of mylot. So when you find a newbie with a one liner discussion, we should give them some reservations as they cannot start out with a pomp and explode like the seniors. they are still learning the thread and the presentation of their discussions. As they stay longer they gain better insight of mylot and they will soon flourish which might be better than the old members. Once they become addicted and active here they will find the challenges that they face, trolls, fluctuating of rates, gossips and everything but otherwise a thrilling place to be. I don't think people would stoop so low as to cheat here in mylot. You only have to post quality discussions and have many friends, you will surely make money.

Are we being misled by the copy and paste that is allowable in mylot? I do not deny sometimes I get extract from a good topic to share with mylot members which is relevant to my discussion but of course it comes with the link from where I get the source. Yes, I agree with you that the regulations are for everyone regardless of newbies or old timers but as newbies it will take time to familiarize with this place.

Copying the work of others is illegal. The privilege of copy/pasting may be used to copy our own work or that of others as long as a link is placed to show where it was taken from.

'I don't think people would stoop so low as to cheat here in mylot.' On myLot the cheaters abound unfortunately. Many are copying things from the web and posting them in discussion form and expecting to earn by doing so. Fortunately the staff find them with the help of MyLot users and they get what they deserve! Cheaters are NOT tolerated! I agree we were all new when we started but the rules are for all to follow right from the start as in any community online or off.

I don't really look at other people's plate when I'm at the table and I am also like this in my daily life. I just do what I need to do and I don't worry about other people. There is a system in place to catch criminals and that is called the legal system. I am not a policeman and it is not my job to watch out for mylot criminals. Cheers!!

Hi herumana, Welcome to mylot. Well, cheaters are anywhere. Just don't bother yourself of what they are doing. They will reap the consequence someday. Their sins will find them out and it would be a sad day for them. Just enjoy yourself here, don't ruin your excitement here in mylot by thinking about the bad things others did. Have fun and enjoy here. Good luck.

That is really shocking to know that some people would do such thing. Cheating their way to make some money here or anywhere else is like taking away things that do not belong to them. That is really disgusting and I wonder how long they think they can get away with that. Even if myLot did not catch them, sooner or later karma would catch up with them whether you believe it or not. I hope that myLot would be able to detect that person and his foul activities here and hopefully by now, he is no longer able to post anything or take out his money. Those kind of people does not deserve to be here on myLot where honest people are working really hard to earn some hard earned money. Thanks for sharing that. Cheers!

Cheaters are all around us then on Mylot too. Thanks for this information. I work so hard to get my money. If they wrote a decent discussion they would not need to do this. I wonder how they have different user names and paypal numbers. Well thanks for sharing this. Take care herumana and welcome to mylot.

Thats a lot of effort for $18 dollars a day! Im a newbie here but while i am hoping to make money for Christmas, i am also enjoying the social aspects of the site. Its sad that people have to abuse the system and potentially spoil things for the rest of us. Its fascinating how technology can be so useful and advanced but people still use it in malicious or bad ways undetected. I agree, shame on him.

What other people will just to earn money. I wonder what mylot will do upon learning that. Mylot is a good community and is a legit paying site. It's too bad that some people do bad things for money. So sad.

Wow, that really takes some nerve to do that and than brag about it (or tell his brother about it so HE can brag) in a blog! I sure hope the myLot administration catches whoever this member is and bans him ASAP along with anyone else doing something similar. As for new members, first of all I'd like to welcome you to myLot and it's nice to see you're not one of the new members giving one line posts. I've already, when I've come across that in a newer member, politely told them to try to avoid one-liners and repeating the same thing in multiple responses. Some people honestly don't know what's expected when they first join so I don't like to be too hard on new members because I want them to stay and be a part of our community here. Happy Posting! There are many users cheating i many different ways here on myLot sadly but they are not tolerated and eventually get what they deserve and usually ending up returning to where they came from. In the Guidelines users are ASKED TO HELP the myLot staff by reporting any violations. I do think you should contact myLot with the information you have so that they can put a stop to the illegal actions by this person who is cheating the system. If you do not wish to do so yourself then you could send a private message to someone on your friend list asking if they would help

yeah sure. some people can certainly go to any extent for some hard cash. But the thing is that it might be also possible that he might be getting some kind of a rush doing this and not getting caught, maybe so he might be bragging to his brother how he has managed to do this. well anyway it is sad that someone would do that whatever the reason be
