Accident Update!

I don't know if that will happen. The frame was not damaged at all. Just the support frame for the fenders and radiator. That won't affect the sideway looking car syndrome. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Before you accept it after it is worked on or before you sign anything have someone drive behind you or you drive behind it and check it out.

That car is like a child to be. I've raised it since childhood. It had 30 miles on it when I got it home from the dealership. I am going to my daughters and my wife is spending the night there as they're going out for Black Friday. I'll stay safe at home. HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I like this: "I've raised it since childhood". I know one does get to feeling like that when you keep something for so long, especially when it's been a good car. My husband had a 57 Chevrolet - 2 door hardtop, when we started dating. He got rid of it after our first born was around 3 or so, and, to me, it was like losing part of the family. He thought I was crazy when I said that. He doesn't get attached to things like I do.

Well now it seems fast again. Grrr! It is normal temp wise here. A week or so to repair it. So hopefully by the 5th when I have to return the rental car. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

That's good that they will get it done in 1 week! , so why don't you like the rental car? Happy turkey day.

My sentiments exactly positiveminded about the ugly red small foreign car Grandpa Bob has. I am sure that he will find it much better to drive it than to having to walk or perhaps worse still catch a bus/train. Grandpa Bob, good to hear that this rental car is starting to grow on you but do not become too attached to it. Keep reminding yourself that you will have to return it in a just over a week's time and those days will pass very quickly I am sure. You will be "chafing at the bit" to get back into your own car back again and maybe the first time you drive your own car it will feel a little strange after having driven a small car for a week or so. Keep us updated on the progress of repairs and have a wonderful Thanksgiving, in the full knowledge that very soon you will be driving your own car again.

Blac Friday is the name they gave to the Shopping day after Thanksgiving day here in the States. Most stores open at like 4 or 5 am for HUGE discounts on things. It's a mad house with people in line for hours waiting on special deals. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I go for the colonoscopy on dec 19th the tube down the throat in Jan blood tests and lactose intolerance tests in january and back to see my diabetes doctor and he gastro specialist in January

Yeah, i see the internet glitch made the picture i was posting end up here as well. Sorry about that Grandpa Bob, it seems mylot is working hard right now connected to my internet as all the rest of my sites are working fine.

Yesthe OnStar would have been mmissed greatly. I talked at length with my insurance agent ans she was leaning towards totaling it. But they decided to pay nearly $8,000 to repair it rather than pay me $11,000 to total it. Going to Minnies and my wife is staying the night so they can do some Black FGriday shopping. I am going home to dad after the meal etc. He is too lazy to walk to the car etc. Besides she doesn't have a lazy boy or rocking chair for him to sit in and anything else and he gets very uncomfortable. I found myself driving very defensively tonight when going to get my wife from work. Staying FAR behind other cars and driving a lot slower even on the highways. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

That tends to happen after accidents. I drive a lot safer since my car was totalled.

I've only put 10 miles on it is all. Went to the store and then to a gas station and also a car wash. That's it. Tonight I pick my wife up from work so that will cover about 40 miles totaled. HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I skipped dinner and will skip breakfast to feast. I've had the same Ins Co. for over 20 years and the same agent. So it is a good friendship basically with them/her. No problems ever with this Co.
