I have just been accepted as a writer for a new online magazine called Brandlady. It can be found at Brandlady.com. You have to send them something to be considered. I sent them three of my sonnets, and they want me to write more for them. It doesn't pay anything yet, but they are going to plug my book Cat-House Sonnets, 100 poems celebrating cats, so it's a good deal for me. Does anyone write for an online magazine that doesn't pay anything?

I only write for myslef. But I'm so happy for you, keep up the good work and may you get paid for your writing at some point. I always say there is a writer in all of us, you just have to dig a bit deeper in others

I hope someday you write for others, too, so that we can share your work. It's always wonderful when people can express themselves and share their feelings.

That is wonderful news. Just make sure that you still own the work after they publish it. Insist you have your copyright at the end.

You should check it out. It's not quite up and running; there are a few blank spaces. They publish on Friday, they said.

Thank you. For some reason, this is almost as exciting as getting my book published.

Congratulations! The only place I write for where I don't get paid is my own blog - er... four blogs. And a poetry site. And.. yeah, I guess I do! Still, it's pretty exciting to have someone like your work enough to ask you to write for them!

It is a kick. Two of the sonnets were about my mom; the third, about my aunt. They want my cat sonnets, too.

I do, too; but if it leads to book sales, I'm not complaining one tiny bit.
