With the development of the internet, people can do more in internet.Watching movie, shopping, and reading E-book.You can look for book you love by internet. It is rapid, convenient and free. But Some people prefer reading conventional book that was buy in bookshop.Like me,I enjoy the sence that the book in my hand.I really feel it is here.Ant then,I will read the book with placid mood. But i don't refuse E-book because it certainly have many advantages. What do you prefer?

I only like to read the conventional books ,with my legs tucked away under my lap,and in a relaxed manner, and in my own pace.Reading e-books doesn't appeal to me at all.I love reading, and like to feel the smell of paper and weight of the book which I am reading. Also I like to mark the page where I stopped, and like to keep the book handy near me,to read it when ever I feel like it......

I bought the Kindal from Amazon and was very deapointted. In fact I am in the process of sending it back. I have never seen a site to read books on line. I wouldn't any way. I have a favorite chair thats my reading place and one of the reasons I don't like the Kindal is because I can't share my books. Holding a book in my hands is one of the great pleasures in my life. I also enjoy taking a book into the bathroom with me when I take a bath or whatever. What is an E book? I have never heard of it.

That's one huge drawback... you have to purchase most titles you hope to read...

E book is a virtual book from internet that we can read it as a traditional book from bookshop or library. In fact, their content is the same but form. They have their own advantages,so some people like the e book and others like the printed book.

I don't refuse e-books either but prefer reading conventional books. I like to read in bed so it's easier the conventional way, i always find it's easier on the eye to read a conventional book.

That's not necessarily true. A good book actually keeps you awake...or maybe it's just me.....

I prefer the paper books, especially Hardback. They will never go out of style, I think. E-books can be great too and do have many advantages, but I still prefer the traditional paper book. I love flipping the pages and snuggling in my favorite chair and sipping my coffee. Nothing like it in the world.

The advantage of reading a conventional book is for all you know, you can have the book with you and you can read it lying down or in an armchair. Of course with Laptops around you could carry the Ebooks around as you carry most of your office work. Stll, lure of the book is too strong to make a change over to Ebook only. BTB I happened to read Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code as an EBook.

yes, some real books are too strong although we can carry it anywhere.

The other advantage of EBook is that you could get copies of rare books that have already gone out of print, but are some of the best books one could read. Like I am frantically searching for Benjamin Disraeli's works which are not available in Book form for me to buy even though some of the Classic works of Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, George Elliot are being reprinted.Just imagine I could get in EBook form from somewhere.

Since I am an avid reader, there is nothing (to me) like actually holding the book and reading the words. Being able to take out a book and read it anytime and anywhere. I actually enjoy the reading experience. It calms me and relaxes me! Therefore I am not a fan of e-books. It just doesn't have the same feel to me. I would read them and never turn them down (they are, unfortunately I believe, the wave of the future), but I will always prefer good old fashioned book reading.

It depends on whether I'm at a computer or just comfortably relaxing around the house. If I'm sitting at a computer, I'd prefer an ebook. For everything esle a conventional book will suffice.

I have actually never tried an Ebook. I love conventional books too much. I don't just love to read them, I love to collect antique books. There is so much history there... not just written but living in the pages. You can't hold an Ebook and imagine where it has been throughout its life.

I think they both have their purposes. I hate to read long stuff (like a novel) on the computer. I really prefer to curl up on the couch or in bed and read for pleasure. You can't do that very well with an e-book!!! lol!!! On the other hand, I am a home educator (homeschooler) and I buy resource books sometimes for school. These are the type of books that you photo copy for worksheets. It's great when I can get those in e-book format so I just print out the pages I need instead of photo copying them. They look nicer that way too.

I read a lot of news online. I think that with the internet, the whole concept of newspapers is pretty much outdated. At least in the quantities that they are currently published in. A total waste of paper, except for the people who have no computers. Book are a different story for me though. I can read for hours (if I have nothing else to do), but I can't sit at my computer that long. Plus, I like a nice hot bath and a good book. Can't do that with a computer, even a laptop...yet. I'm sure somebody will come out with a water-proof computer someday. I also think the smell of books is intoxicating. I'm surprised that Yankee Candle hasn't come out with a 'New Book' candle! I saw a 'Clean Cotton' scented candle yesterday. Guess it's only a matter of time, although maybe there already is one and I haven't seen it yet. I get 99%of my books at the library, so I don't consider it a waste of paper.

Real books! Here's why. I get a lot of ebooks; they're available in abundance aren't they? But I don't read them! At least not really long ones. I have to print them out to read them. But, when I buy a book or get one from the library I do read them more readily. It does MAKE sense that since we are on the computer so much we would read them doesn't it. However, that's not always the case for me.

well,of course I prefer reading conventional book, just printed book to E-book.Even though I always have to make some E-book for our website,I never read some artics in it.It's completely different to read entity books and E-books on computer or other electronic media.I believe E-book will never substitute printed book. For me,reading conventional book bring me a beautiful nice feeling,E-book never can.

I love reading old fashioned books. I don't have the patience to read PDFs. I really don't! I have several books on my PC but I haven't read them because I don't like it. I like going to the library and borrow a book. It's different. The scent of paper, the magic...
