Naked boys playing water in the front yard

The little boys staying opposite my house like to take off all the clothes and play with the water in the front yard. The boys age range from 4 - 8 years old, perhaps. As it's school holiday now, they play in the front yard every day, naked, for a few hours. I don't know, I just think it's not good to be naked in public, although they are still kids. Also, it's easy to get sick when they don't wear any clothes and still playing with water in the front yard. I know they are really having lots of fun playing like that, but I still don't think it's good. What do you think? Will you let your boys be naked in public? Will you let your boys play water just like that in the front yard?

If you had Boys of your own you would know that all Boys are born naked. God makes them this way. God makes Roses and Snowflakes and Mountains, and they are all Perfect. Do you really think clothes can improve one of God's creations? God does it this way, and God has not made a mistake in a very, very, long time. Why not try to appreciate the Perfection Exhibited in God's Creations, instead of complaining? After all, You Too were Created and Born Naked!

If you go through life restricting your children for fear that a pedophile might get them then they will grow up seriously inhibited and frightened of their own shadow. Cultures that restrict sexuality have serious problems with rape. Just look at the Mulsim countries where women are kept locked up. That does not stop them being raped, as men just break into their house to rape them, but it does stop them being active happy women.

I really appreciate your responses. I understand what you guys mean, I do think of that sometimes. But perhaps I'm from a different culture, also I am thinking of the kids might get cold.

Only in the Philippines!lol If they are having fun, I say let kids be kids. Just as long as parents take the necessary precautions so the kids don't get sick, I think they should just enjoy this time!

I agree, just have to be cautious not to let the kids get sick, then i think it's ok for kids at that age playing like this. Why ruin kids fun? I grew up in a small town, my brother and i and the other kids from neighbour really have time playing like this. It's natural. And i don't think the boys will not know how to respect people if they play like this. :-) It all depends on how we teach them. Well, i'd say, just have fun, kids!!

Its not good that these boys do. There are many pedophiles and as soon as one sees the children, the next day he/she could be taking photos- and could eventually, in the worst cases- turn into kidnap. If it was a covered area it would not be so bad.- (I wouldnt let my *kids to be - when i do have them* roam around naked- preferably not even in the house though its much better then the streets). Also its very cold this time of year, they could catch something because of the chill- or even catch something from the water... Good topic though

I think the poster of the question lives in a "hot" country, where it is not cold right now, but you make excellent points.

I wouldn't allow my boys to do something like that! I believe in teaching my son about respect and dignity. Plus you don't know if there is a pedophile around the corner taking pictures of them. There are a lot of sick people out in the world and these boys (your neighbors) are lining themselves up to become victims. If I were you I would march over there and talk to the parents. Have a good night

Thanks for your response. ^_^ Well, I don't think I'll talk to the parents, as they have rights to do that, and the parents actually know about this. If they think it's nothing wrong, I shouldn't interfere it.

I do not see why you have a problem with this. We are born naked and unless it is very cold then they are not going to catch cold. I do not think they would be playing with the hose if it was cold enough to make them sick. They are just little children having fun why do you have a problem with people being naked.

What possible difference could it make at that age? Lash

Jakker27 I would not have a problem with that at all. We are talking little children under 8. I would encourage her to not be afraid of her body

Thanks for your response. ^_^ Well, perhaps it's just because of different culture, and I have never seen any like this before. Although I do not really like it, I won't stop them from doing that, as it's their choice.

I agree with many of your responders. The boys should not play naked in the front yard. First of all it would attract pedophiles which could lead to an abduction and harm to the child. Secondly, children have to learn acceptable and non- acceptable behaviour. Thirdly the risk of skin cancer is much greater when the body is completely uncovered. Why take a chance? The children could have just as much fun when wearing shorts or bathing trunks.

I do not think that it is a good idea to let children play naked when they are visible to others. I think that this type of activity could be dangerous for the children's health. I also think that they might draw attention from some innapropriate people. There are so many sick people in the world today. If I had children I would not take the chance of something bad happening to them by letting them play naked in the fron yard.

It all depends on local culture. Here in America it would be impossible, someone would probably call police. Also it is not safe, many crazy pedophiles around.

At 4 it's a bit old, no big deal, But by 8 they should at least have underwear on in the front yard. There are too many perverts out there. The kids need to learn that being naked in public is not a good idea.

Playing in water in the front yard is fine, but they probably shouldn't be naked. My boys at least wear shorts if they're playing in the water, the little ones will usually wear a diaper and maybe a t shirt to protect from the sun. But never fully naked. There's nothing wrong with playing in the water, so long as the weather is appropriate. I wouldn't let my kids do it if it were chilly outside, but on a hot day it can be a lot of fun and a good way to cool off. But the part about them always being naked is enough to alarm me. Where are the parents while the boys are naked? Are they watching them? They're so young they should be supervised, whether they're wearing clothes or not. It's a dangerous world out there.

Thanks for your response. Well, I don't think their parents are around, as they are working during day time. I only see those young kids playing in the yard, perhaps their grandmother is at home.

I wouldn't let my boys do that in the front yard if they wanted to play naked I would put them in the fenced backyard or let them take a bath in the tub. The reason I say not the front yard is because there are a lot of freaks out there and just don't think that is cool to have naked children around perverts.

Hi. kaka135. No. I would never let my kids play outside naked. It is not safe. We have so many Child Molesters that are on the loose. I would never let my kids not have any clothes on while playing outside. I am even funnier about just letting my kids go to the park to play in the water during the summer. And they would only have bathing suits on. I feel uncomfortable letting strangers see my daughters into a bikini and my son with his shirt off. Their parents need to be careful about letting their children have fun this way. It is dangerous and never safe for them to be naked. Especially in their front yard. I am sure that people can see them naked as they are passing by in their cars. I would not even let any of my kids be naked in our own backyard either!
