you had an answer? We woke up this morning and the dog is still sick. So I called the vet, and my hubby brought her in. They did an x-ray to make sure she hadn't swallowed anything while in the yard. She hadn't. But she is still sick, and they don't know why. We have had to line her cage with newspaper to make vomit clean up easier.

Is she just vomiting??? Does she have Diahrea too???? I am not a vet, but just had a similar experience, and I also breed and raise shihtzus. You can give her pepto bismol or k-pac if you have some. Otherwise I would take her to another vet! This time of year there is alot of collidis of the large intestine and she may have that!! Shihtzumama

That is ridiculous. It costs alot of money for everything these days whether it helps us or not. That is ridiculous to be charged that amount and they still do not know what is wrong.

Ahhh, I am sorry to hear about your dog. I don't know if I would want to accept the answer we don't know I would want them to try to find something or even try to guess or try out possibilities. "We don't know is to easy of a answer that wasn't well thought out. I do hope your dog gets better soon, with a new baby at home it can't be easy to add to the caos.

I hope that your dog gets better. I hope that it might be a stomach upset and that after 24 hours he will be back to normal.

Hello ersmommy. I am so sorry that your dog is still sick today. But I wonder why it is so expensive as to pay 167 dollars for seeing the vet. Anyway, I wish your dog to get well soon naturally since the vet is not able to tell why. Good luck to her.

Think of it as $167 to know that your dog doesn't need $1500 surgery or something to remove a toothbrush.

Oh dear, the poor baby! Do you think it is indigestion? I give my dog and pup a syrup called "Bestozyne" when they puke. It is a digestive syrup. Your dog might behave like that even if she/he needs deworming. :) Cheers and happy Mylotting

No I would insist on further testing other then just an x ray to find out what is wrong. Is it a puppy or an adult dog? It could be parvo if its a puppy. That makes them very sick.

I would feel better if I knew what was going on with my dog. $167 is a lot of money to still have no answers. Poor Sophie! I hope she gets to feeling better soon. Baby spit, baby poop, and doggie vomit! I don't envy you.
