How do you clean your eyeglasses? Do you wash them by hand using your shirt tail or a towel? Do you use a product like Windex etc? I use a bottle og lens cleaner I got for free from Pearle Vision when I got my new glasses. Then I use a lint free clith to wipe the dry/clean that I got from Target's eyeshop. I have plastic lenses so if I use anything other than a lint free rag the lenses can and have gotten scratched. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I probably should use a lens cleaner, but I don't, I usually just use my shirt to clean them, thats the only thing I trust to use, I don't like using kleenex or tissue, because they can scratch the lens too. I do have a lint free rag, but I can't seem to find it anywhere..lol.

Okay, I will do that. Eyeglasses are too expensive to not take care of them, I know mine are, I hate getting scratches too. Thanks

I usually use little cleaners made for cleaning glasses. But I have washed them under the tap and dried them with a soft cloth. AND I do wipe them with the end of a soft shirt or sweater. Mine are glass.

There is actually a pretty good lens cleaner that the Dollar Store carries that works really good. My daughter got some for her glasses and I started using it. It cuts through all the gunk and the hairspray that always somehow gets on them.

My wife uses water and her fingers then a paper towel most times. Her lenses are so shot with all the scratches on them from this activity. I am glad I don't have the gunk you talk about all over mine. Ewwww! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I use anything soft. I use water sometimes, and other times I also use glasses cleaner that I got from a place when I got my glasses along with a little cleaning cloth. But just to get the top layer off I just use my shirt.

I use lens cloths that are individually wrapped I get from the vision center at walmart. I also have plastic lenses and I think I am soon due to get some new ones....even though I use the proper cleaning cloths they are getting very scratched!

When you take them off, do you use a case for storing them in? Plastic lenses get scrathced a lot easier from sitting on a table etc. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I use a Lens Cleaner that I bought at WalMart. I bought my Glasses this last time from JCPenney and they never offer anything like this. But I do use most of the time the lint Free cloth that came with the Cleaner as well as who likes to have to wear scratched glasses?

I always use cotton cloths to clean my glasses. When I'm in the shower or doing dishes, I put a drop or 2 of soap on each lens, scrub with fingers and then rinse really good. Talk about clean!!!

I use a lens cleaner and special cloth. When I worked in the chicken factory, lo-I don't know how many lifetimes-ago, I'd have to go wash my glasses at least a couple times a shift. When you're folding wings, gunk starts flying.

I folded the wings before they went through the steamer, after which they were dusted in flour, then batter, then bread crumbs, then went through the deep fryer to be flash frozen and then packaged. We got a free piece of chicken for lunch every day. At least it tasted better than KFC.

I used Kleenex for years and wondered why my glasses were all scratched up! Now I use my shirt and maybe some water. Do you remember those purple tissue papers that came out years ago specifically to clean glasses with? I can't recall the name of them but they did a great job! Probably just for glass lenses, though, plastic wasn't around then I don't think.

Hello Grandpa Bob! I am lucky to still have perfect vision so I do not use any eyeglasses. Well, my mother and father already wear eyeglasses and I see them use a soft cloth to clean it. It is funny sometimes because they forget where they have put their eyeglasses since they only use it for reading purposes.

well i dont use the glasses much except while reading or while i am on computer. But i would clean my glasses with whatever i would find near me. shirt clothe, curtains. But i clean it real slow so i don't scratch it. and i don't like carrying a piece of cloth or anything to clean the glasses.

I clean my glasses every morning. I use a cloth diaper and Sam's Club lens cleaner. I also have a little cloth that I got at the eye doctors that I keep in my purse to use during the day if I need it. I just cleaned someones glasses the other day because they never do. I don't remember who it was though...

I just got glasses from Pearle --hey gave me these cute little cleaning cloths. Mine are scratch resistant. But they drive me nuts..I think the glasses are self dirtying. I clean them at the top of the stairs and by the time I get to the bottom, they are already dirty and I can't see.

I usually just take my glasses and run water from the tap on the lenses then wipe them dry with a paper towel (Bounty)--and never had a problem this way with scratches and I too have plastic lenses on my glasses

Periodically I'll take my glasses in the shower and wash them good with shampoo and let them drip dry while I finish. In between I wipe them with tissue when they need it. I've never followed the directions that the optometrist gives it just seems like so much extra trouble.

I have rimless frames and they are a pain to clean because of the posts, so I purchased an ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Frieght for under $30 and now I just put my glasses in with warm water and a little dish soap and 3 minutes later they are as clean as the day I got them. If you wear glasses and hate cleaning them buy an ultrasonic cleaner, you won't be sorry.
