P1ke's Pants

I was taken out this morning and bought two new pairs of trousers as apparently I have lost weight and my other trousers are hanging off me! I thought that was the idea. LOL. Anyway. The Boss and I have just had a fashion show with P1ke as the model. Do you have "fashion shows" when you buy new clothes for your nearest and dearest?

I will buy a bunch of new stuff then come home and model it for my kids. My honey doesn't care what I wear so I have to rely on a 12, 7, and 6 year old to give me their opinions. My honey only models new suits for me. The rest of the time he is in jeans and t-shirts.

Me and my husband doesn't shop together. I If go he doesn't. He tells me the size and that is what I get but I get the fashion show when He tries them on at home. It is great that you and Boss get to do this together. It is not that my husband hates shopping either he will go himself(has his brother or sister take him.)Well I hope that the trousers fit nicely and no mishaps like with the shorts..

Now I don't understand that Becky. Why doesn't he go with you, but he will go with his brother or sister take him? The trousers are fine thanks.

We never shop or go anywhere together anymore. It has been over 13 years since we went to town a few times with each other. I can count on both hands the time we have been to town together in all the 18 years we have been married. I think it is something to do with my weight issues.

Absolutely, I must model my clothes because I loose a size lately every week. I however do not get to go shoping much. Ainge Congrats to you on the loss if you are happy about it. Have I mentioned to you how lucky your wife is? Also when I come to Europe for my booksignings you going to visit me?

If you both commit to it and don't smother each other, there is absolutely no reason why it shouldn't be a wonderful marriage.

I always have a fashion show when I have been out buying things. I dont always try them on but I will show them to my boyfriend. If I have only bought a few things then I will try them on but if I have had a mad shopping spree and bought loads then I will just show him.
@p1kef1sh (45681)
27 Jan 09
We have to go through the full try on usually. Although sometimes it is staggered across a few hours or days even.
27 Jan 09
Normally after shopping I am too tired to be trying everytrhing on but if I show him and he likes it then I would try it on. Sounds like you know how to do real fashion shows!!!

I do have fashion shows when I buy new clothes, as my husband always tells me "wear it in here and let me see".. I do have to always remember when showing him a new blouse to make sure that I wear a pair of slacks when modeling as he always make some type of lewd remarks if I don't.. He is really good about letting me know if he likes the new clothing or not, and I trust his judgement.. He will let me know if it doesn't look right on me, I am the same way with him, we keep each other from being the butt of other people jokes..

Sounds a good husband to me if he makes lewd remarks about his attractive and sexy wife Donna!! LOL.

No home fashion shows here, my friend. I'll try whatever on in the shop and view myself from every possible angle in the mirror there. If I approve and it feels comfortable to wear, that's good enough for me! I think your lovely wife is just trying to encourage you in your weight loss. Accept and enjoy the attention! Brightest Blessings.

Most of the times that I have bought clothes I'm out shopping with my oldest daughter. I do sometimes have a 'fashion show' to get her opinion if I'm not sure of the how the item looks/fits. The only time I did that with my b/f was when I was buying formal clothes for a Christmas party. I 'modeled' the outfit I had chosen (before purchase) lol just to make sure it was right for the party.

I think that there is something to be said for taking children with you shopping. They seem to be able to get away with saying things that BFs can't!! LOL.

Well, if you wanted to lose weight, then, I am happy for you that you are reaching your goal. However, I love you regardless of your weight. You are just too sweet, kind and loving on the inside not to love dearly. That's what matters to me, not what's on the outside. If you are a bit chubby, then just more to love. My hubby doesn't like fashion shows, unless it is me prancing around in skimpy sexy stuff or naked for him. lol

Thank you Annie, that's a very sweet thing to say. I love you too.

I forgot to add that I am also chubby, too. Two fish, then, eh? You can wear the conical with a bowtie and I'll dress up in nuthin' but my cowgirl boots, ok?

No, I usually buy clothes for special occasions and he sees it when I am ready to go out. He on the other hand usually has me go out with him to do clothes shopping, and HE does get to do the whole fashion show thing..................but, only because I make him do it.

Yup, we have them right in the store. Who ever is getting the clothes goes into the dressing room and puts them on then comes out to show the other one and get their opinion. We don't buy clothes unless the other one agrees that they look good.
@p1kef1sh (45681)

We do that too. More when The Boss is buying clothes than me to be honest.

Camodad shops like a girl. He's not feminine or anything but he likes to shop more then I do. He likes to be in style and look good. I don't care as much about my appearance.

You lost weight.Then you became handsome.So you had to be a model in a 'fashion show'.When I buy new clothes I also have to walk as a model before my wife.She choices my cloths.I have no option other than surrender to my spouse.

So you're a metrosexual then pike? Funnily enough, I only just picked up a new suit this morning! I chose it over the weekend and the alterations were just finished. No fashion show from me though. I walk in the front door, unzip the suit bag, show it to my Wife and then hang it up! Short and sweet. I even loathe trying clothes on at the store before I buy them! Mind you, I'll patiently sit there while my Wife shops or wishes to parade herself. Thankfully though, she's not overly inclined to do this either!

I don't feel like I have lost too much weight Steph. But I am told that I have and I did manage to get into a slightly smaller waist size; so maybe I have.

Congratulations on losing weight and getting new trousers!! LOL!! I haven't bought new clothes for ages. Apparently, I too have lost weight. I feel my clothes hanging off me!! I am just too busy, rushing around doing too many things to get some new clothes. I guess I will be forced to get some stuff when it all falls off me. But before you begin visualizing too much, let me say wind up my response. :) By the way, no time for a fashion show..LOL!! I just hate clothes shopping. Cheers and happy Mylotting

My 3 sons are the unfortunate "recipients" of my "fashion shows" when I've done some shopping for clothes. They're very accommodating, and have learned to give compliments readily. I've even gotten them trained well enough, that they notice ON THEIR OWN if I'm wearing something new. Should they have any relationships with women in their futures, they are going to be filling up their emotional love banks so easily!
@p1kef1sh (45681)

You are training them well! They'll thank you for it when they're older. as will the women in their lives.

Hey p1ke! Well, I wish you would have taken some pictures of the latest in "P1kef1sh Fashions"! I would have loved to have seen this! My boyfriend likes to go shopping by himself! He doesn't always even show me what he buys unless I ask him to. Last night, however I was in my kitchen/office doing my usual mylotting and he came in to "model" one of his latest new fashions! It was a new "Polo" shirt with his new blue sweatpants! Now that is fashion???? Well, he thinks it is! Dare I to question? A designer shirt with sweatpants? I'm sure you did alot better than that!
@p1kef1sh (45681)
26 Jan 09
I don't own a pair of sweatpants Opal so there's no danger of an inadvertent sartorial disaster! LOL.
