An Unexpected Day Off From Work

Today is Thursday. I expected to have my usual clients and called the office to confirm my schedule. When she said I was off today, I thought she was joking. She told me that the boss had me down for yesterday (which I had requested off) and for today. She said to look at it as an early birthday gift. My reply was that I would rather have a day off in warmer weather!
It was lovely to be handed a day off.

My birthday is not until July. But, an early present like a day off is always appreciated.

Lucky you are to have such a nice boss, whenever I take leave then my boss asks one question do you have any leave left.Last year he sent me on 4 tours one was in my home town and when I was taking leave for going home he counted that tour and told me you have already thrice to your home town, so I had to remind him that it is only two times I have gone and out of which only once I have gone for personal reasons otherwise it was a tour, where I had lot of work to do.

What a nice surprise!
A similar thing happened to my mom yesterday. She was dreading the fact that she had to work last night. There was a chance of snow and she was worrying about it all day. Then she went online to check her schedule for next week and she realized she was actually off yesterday. So her mood perked up, but it's a shame she worried all day about it!

I would love a day off myself. Today would have been good. I will have Saturday and Sunday off, but be busy on both. I am glad you could enjoy.

That would have been nice to know like yesterday...but sometimes unexpected things turn out to be good things...Hope you enjoyed your day off....
