Time Travel - Would you do it?

Let's just say hypothetically speaking that we are capable (or we invented) of time traveling. Where would you go? The past? or the Future? and Why?

I'd go into the future five years. I'd want to know if I got off disability, and if I were married by then. I'd also like to know how my mother's health turned out. I don't think I would go to the past. I might be tempted to go back to the 1950s because for some reason that time fascinates me, but I would prefer to go to the future.

It would be great to have such thing. i've always dreamt of it. If I have the time machine, I would go to both past and the future. I have a very high level of curiosity. There are so many things that have been still a mystery untold and unknowned. I want to know all of the. There are innumerable things whose answer I want so much. I want all of those curiosity to be solved at once.

But with much curiosity, sooner or later you'll get tired or knowing the answers at an instant. Perhaps not really owning a time machine, but rather being able to do it once in a while will do. I think it's better though that we refrain from involving ourselves with the past and the future, it should be more of only as spectators. Thank you for dropping by!

Well; I would like to travel to some times in the past - especially the time when we had Indus Valley and Mesopotamian civilizations ;or to the time of the Romans or the early Aryans and see how they used to live then .

Given the chance I would like to go back in time. Go back to the time when i was splurging my money and credit cards with material things which have poroved to be insignificant and not necessities. If i could go back to that time, I wont be needing to pay a gruesome amount of money to the bank.welljust another lessonlearned. I really learned a lot from that experience.

Oh yeah, that's something that's truly worth going back to. But, would your 'old' self believe you?

Yes, unfortunately there are some things in the past that I would like to change. One is in regards to the choices I have mede in my education. I think I would go back and kick myself in the pant the first time around to just make a decision and finish something. I would also go to a time where i could talk to my sister and tell her of her upcoming health issues so that she could still be here today. Those are the two main things that I would want to accomplish. I really don't have any grand schemes, or desires to see other events first hand. My ideas are rather self centered but I'm ok with that since it's just pretend, right? I don't have any desire to see the future. I feel that it would be too hard if what I saw was bad.

I guess we all have regrets, it's just sad we can't change all of them. So, we better make sure we don't add those regrets.

I would do both. I'd go to the future to gain clarity on what is to come in my life, and then I'd go back to the past to re-live a great memory, or to see how the present would be if I changed one insignificant thing.

I guess we'd love to do both. But our actions (or change of actions) in the past would certainly affect the future.

I would love to travel back in time. I would go to Italy where my Grandparents were born. And visit them. Then travel to the early 1800's and visit West Virginia and see my other Grandparents and my family before them. To live and learn all the great things that they have done. I have heard so much from my Mom about family. And just how important it is. After doing her geneology I was longing to go back in time and visit all these family members. The things they have seen and done. Some of it is so amazing. I would love to go back to the wild west and visit my Great 4 times removed Uncle Wild Bill. To ride the trails with him would be heavenly. Thank you for this post. I have so enjoyed just thinking about it.

I would travel back in the past to the best times I remember but then it might be challenging to come back to the present time. I would go back to the late eighties when I had such a fun time at college. I would go back to the times of all my travels but make sure I miss out any sad times like me falling down the drain. I have always fancied a time machine. The future is unknown but I hope it will be great but one thing is for sure I will be even older then.

If I could travel through time then I would do both: go back to the past and go forward to the future. I would go back to the days I was happy the most and the days I was still with someone who's no longer with me now. I would go and have a look of the future so I would be prepared of what's coming. But if I could only choose one, it would be the ability to go back to the past. By going back to the past, I can correct mistakes that I made.

I would like to go back in time. Back to the time of the Pioneers or when the Mayflower came to Amereica. That time in history is interesting to me. Tho it was a tough time with the Indians and illness etc. It must have been interesting tho scary to come to a new land not knowing what was in store for them.

I would like to go back to the past because i wanted to see what if i have chosen the other opportunity for me there when i was offered a career in programming. I wanted to regret the path i chose in education but i am also afraid if i change this course, i would not be able to meet my husband. I would also like to see my future since i am happily married, and is waiting to have a baby. I wonder how many kids would we be having and what is the life that we have in the future.

I would like to go back into the past and record certain events. This to record with Photograpy or video during times when that kind of tech did not exist. for exapaple, go back and record the voice and images of US presidents like Gorge Washington, go back furter and record the images and voice of kings and queens, sicentis, doctors, outlaws, villians, and may other places and events.

approach the spped of ligh=travel into the future travel more than the speed of light=travel into the past. Simple right.......... Complicated explnation is through the general theory of relativity.
