There are people of different composure. Some are very friendly, helpful, jovial and ready to help you losing their own time and all. The kind of people, we call 'extrovert'. and some others are there who are sober, hostile looking, not opening up, having no friends as such - we call them 'Introvert' and yet there are some who are ok in all occasions. If need be silent and sober and if necessary jumping around. These people belong to the category of 'ambivert'. After observation of these characteristics where you feel you belong to and why?

Ah...what a beautiful English words...'extrovert' 'introvert' 'ambivert'. I don't know in which category I fall but am quite busybody sometimes. I like to reach out to people who are really in dire need of help emotionally, mentally or physically. Sometimes when I see others in a confused situation I am quick to reach out to them as I can feel the sadness in him/her. I have a compassionate heart and I don't feel at ease when I see others in trouble. A slight problem will immediately trigger the 'hidden army' to jump in to defend a defeated mylot compatriot.

Pretend you didn't notice it and you'll be fine. Just don't bother about it anymore. It doesn't make you less intelligent. I have lots of fun interacting with people who are worldly knowledgeable and you are one of those.

I think I come across as ambivert although I am an introvert naturally. As I got older I learnt to come out of myself and reach to others. It's something I have to work at because I instinctively tend to withdraw. I am a lot better now so to answer your question I would say I'm an ambivert!

I think I am a introvert. I enjoy being alone, reading, thinking and I don't have many friends. I prefer to keep things to myself. but I don't think myself not friendly and helpful. from your description of introvert and extrovert, I can see that you must be an 'extrovert' because you listed all the pros of extroversion and all the cons of introversion. there are a lot of good things about introvert. most of the artist and thinker are introvert. however, most of the people are not an absolute extrovert or introvert, they are more like ambivert. although I prefer to call myself introvert, strictly speaking, I should fall into the ambivert kind becasue I also have times when I am so cheerful and talking a lot with others.

I guess I'm an ambivert! I can be very outgoing but at times I feel like being quiet and keeping to myself. I enjoy both ways of behavior. I used to be an introvert until I was about 30 but then discovered that I liked people and wanted to know more of them.

I see myself more like an introvert person, because most of the time I enjoy my own company and I don't like to talk to other people about my feelings and emotions. This does not mean I don't like helping people; on the contrary, I'm happy everytime I get the opportunity to do it. It makes me feel good.

Hi Tudors! There is a negative aspect attached to the extroverts. As they are free and frank in their approach they take all others' into their category and some time spoil a relation. I do not think this would happen with you.
