I am really stuck on making crafts using Sesame Street characters. This tissue cover is for our newest grandbaby to go in her room with the Sesame Street wall hangings and Elmo bank. It has 4 different characters and is so cute in person. By using various colors for the background, I find this to be a good teaching tool for kids to learn their colors. Like my newest creation? Anxious to hear any feedback and thanks in advance.

Thanks for the nice compliment. I like keeping busy so this was a fun project. I know nothing about quilting. Is it hard? Thanks for responding.

I like it! Very nice! My mom used to do plastic canvas but nothing neat like that, usually just fridge magnets.

That is cool! I wish my relatives were still alive that made stuff for their Grandkids. They used to make sweaters and things, it was sooo cool. Take care and keep on crafting!

Thanks for the nice compliment. I can knit but already made the baby an afghan. That's all I can knit..lol I find this particular craft of making items with plastic canvas very relaxing. Goes well with tv. Thanks for responding.

It is so very cute! I still think there has to be a great way for you to market these... maybe take pictures and bring them to craft shows..take custom orders for them? They are too adorable to not share them...and yes, they would be a great way to help toddlers learn their colors!

Thanks for tne nice compliment. A friend just this morning tried to encourage me to sell them on e-Bay. He said he would come over to the house and show me the program. Not sure this is the way I want to go. He thinks all they can do is tell me not to attempt to sell them any longer and I wouldn't get into trouble but I'm afraid to run the risk. This friend is a business owner and places his items for sale on e-Bay and does great. He has a big ticket item so he does real well. I've been working on stock for craft fairs and will probably try to sell them. Thanks for responding.

I love making big bird. He's on one of the other panels on this craft. Took a picture of him but didn't post it here. My mistake. This is for our newest grandbaby who is 4 months old today. Thanks so much for responding.

What a lovely gift this will be. And, how thoughtful. My daughter loves Sesame Street too. I wish that I were more crafts oriented.

Thanks for the nice compliment. This craft isn't difficult to make. I use plastic canvas which can be bought at Walmart and yarn. Need to buy or design yourself a simple pattern and put it to work. I stay away from difficult crafts. Thanks for responding.

It's adorable. And I could see it being helpful as a teaching tool. My son is only 10 weeks old. But I'd bet he'd love it in a little while. I am unfortunately not so creative. I like it.

Congratulations on the birth of your son. Is he your first baby? Our new grandbaby is 4 months old today so she's too young also but in a few more months, she will really notice it. She loves to watch me work on the bright projects. Believe me if this was a difficult craft, I wouldn't have the patience to work on it. Done with plastic canvas and yarn. Thanks for the nice compliment and thanks for responding.

What materials are you using to make the memo boards? Thanks for the nice compliment. This craft is easy. Some of the patterns I bought and some come from mountainharmony.com. You might be able to find more crafts and patterns on the site and give you some new ideas. Thanks for responding.

hello carolbee oh how awesome that the tissue cover is with Bert on it. it looks just like him. lol that is really cute. what other three characters does the tissue cover have on it? is Ernie on there with Bert? lol i remember when i was a young girl, i couldn't wait to watch Sesame Street. lol i liked about all of the muppets that were on the show, and Big Bird and the Snugoffogulous (haven't any idea how to spell that one!) lol were my two favorite characters. it seemed like Burt and Ernie were always doing the same thing all of the time. but i liked them too. Ernie was always in the bathtub with his rubber ducky. and i guess that the Count was cool as well with his numbers. thanks so much for sharing the photograph of the tissue cover that you made for your grandbaby with us all around here at Mylot. take care and have a beautiful afternoon.

Thanks for the nice compliment. I made this tissue cover with cookie monster, Bert, Elmo and big bird. I have 6 patterns. You are exactly right, should have put Ernie on this craft next to Bert. What was I thinking? lol I do remember all the characters from Sesame Street but the program was long after I was a kid. Watched it with our kids and always enjoyed it. Thanks so much for responding.

That is too cute! I used to do cross stitch and tried to complete a knitting project but I just find it too difficult to find time nowadays. Congratulations on the new grandbaby!

Thank you. She's 4 months old today but I'm not proud..lol I think cross stitch is harder than working with plastic canvas. This is easy or I wouldn't be able to do it. The finished product is always fun. I do knit but only easy things such as an afghan. Can't do anything fancy. Thanks so much for responding.
