Nobody like to grow older when we are really growing old. When we are young say 15 years old, we want to grow up and when asked age, they say, nearly 16. When you are around 40 you say, around 30. When you are past 50, you say your age as it is, for one accepts that one is growing old. It is the ineveitable truth of life. We learn to accept it then and try to age gracefully. We just pray that we age with good health and security in life.

No, it's definitely not one of my fears. We all have to grow old, or at least older. It's not something that we have much choice. It's something that is decided for us. We just have to face the reality that it happens. One way or another, I think that it's just better if we accept this fact.

I look at getting older as an accomplishment. The older I get, the more I have survived. As an eldrly client told me, old age is not something that you can buy, you earn each and every year.

Well, I know lots of people can be, as lots of people that are younger than them will be stronger, can do things that older people can't anymore and it's harder for older people to get to know all the electricity gadgets then it is for the younger people. I'm personally not afraid. There's nothing to be afraid about. In my mind, everyone's young and can do anything they want if they try! Just live life to the fullest everyday, and then when you are an old nanny look back at those times and say, "That was the life."

My grandmother took care of me, my sisters, and two cousins (total of five girls); and the oldest one was five years old. She lived until she was 93 years old. She lived life to the fullest, enjoyed every day and that's what I would like to do. I want to see my grandchildren, great grandchildren, and on and on. I hope to be healthy always. There is so much fun that comes when you get older. You not only gather wisdom but confidence, patience, joy, peace, love, etc. It is much more than a young person could ever understand until they get there.

I am getting there but being afraid of becoming one for me is a useless and futile because by doing so you are just hastening yourself to becoming one. I guess take each day as you go on with your life and not thinking you are growing older by the day. Just go on with your life as you grow old each dya anyway so why be afraid of it. Your wasting your precious time thinking about that.

Well, since I'm still young now, old age is of no concern because I can still work hard so that I could have a comfortable old age. On the other hand, those who are old now and didn't prepare for it could be the ones worried. Specially if they're just waiting for their kids to pay for their expenses, that's sad.

I am 64 years old and still young. I do not fear aging, I fear not living long enough to do all that I hope to do in my lifetime. I was going along well with that until the stock market took a nose dive. I still do the things on my "some day" list, just at a slower pace temporarily. When the market picks up, I'll continue on fulfilling my dreams more often. Do not fear aging for with it comes experience, wisdom, and freedom. Plan well and take good care of yourself for unless you die at a young age, you will become "old" at whatever age you perceive "old" to be. Prepare at a young age to be able to fulfill all of your dreams along the way and relax and enjoy life looking back and seeing what a great ride it has been!
