Do you Have Burger Night?

United States

Sometimes we have Burger night for dinner. Last Friday it was 70 degres and I just couldn't wait any longer. I whipped out the grill and cooked them outside on the grill. They were delicious!! Why is it they always taste so much better fixed on the grill? We had Burgers, Baked Beans and chips. We wn b fixing them on th grill this week. It's back down in the 30's again. But it was nice for a change. So have you got to fix burgers on the grill this year yet? Do you like them better on the grill or on the stove indoors? Can you tell I'm soreay for this winter to be over!

I love burger night! Not just any old burger either! A grilled burger! I am so ready for winter to be over too. I love to grill. Chicken, steak, burgers and dogs! I can't wait! We actually fired up the fire pit the other night and roasted marshmellows. I like my burgers grilled alot better than on the stove. We are back in the 30's too but I know by the flowers blooming it won't be long.

I don't do burger night very often. I like them cooked out on the grill, but I am horrible about cooking on the grill. I either under cook or over cook a lot of things. Sometimes I will do them half way and then pop them in the oven to finish.

During the summer we have Burger night about once a week but in the winter not as often because we just don't like them as well on the stove. If you'e having trouble getting the middle done try patting out your pattie a little thinner. Thanks for the response

We don't make our own burgers - we never tried it because of the lack of patties sold in the groceries. Or if there are any, they aren't of good quality so we'd rather eat out. However, my boyfriend loves burgers so we do eat out for burger at least once in two weeks :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Well mine don't compare to McDonalds hamburgers but if I went there every time they wanted burgers I would be bankrupt! LOL

There is almost NOTHING better than the first grilled hamburger, is there? I prefer charcoal, but gas isn't too bad either. I think it tastes better because there is no frying pan and splattered stove to clean up. I long for 'summer' food after all the soups, stews and other winter foods. Come September/October I'll be more than ready to put away the grill and start the winter foods again...lol.

I agree! It's time for all those HEAVY meals to go on hold for a while.

That's right we have to have that one because it was already pre-planned! And oh how I hate to cancel plans! LOL

Not lately. Last year, the front fell out of the grill. That wouldn't matter, except for the cats who take an unholy interest in us grilling. We can't grill unless someone sits outside and defends the meat from cats. Sigh.

That's some curious cats ! Light the grill and put a hot dog on it. I bet if they jump up there they'll get off quicker than they got on! I'm sorry that was mean but I bet it works!

I'd do it, except I can't help worrying that they'll get a spark on their fur then take off on fire!! I can just see them burning down my house, the barn, the garage and everything else!! "What can go wrong, will go wrong." I've lived with that motto, and it's saved me frequently!
