25 Random Things

Have you seen the notes going around Facebook that ask a bunch of silly, semi-personal questions? They've been going around different websites for years. I've seen them on Myspace, and even gotten them in my e-mails sometimes. They ask questions like "Were you named after anyone?" "What's your dream vacation?" and things like that. What do you think of these sorts of quizzes? Do you enjoy answering them, or reading other people's answers? Or do you immediatly delete them when you recieve one? I personally love these things!! I don't know why... I guess just because I love to talk about myself and share things about myself. I like for my friends to learn these little things about me. I also like seeing some of my friend's responses to these. I have about 3 of these quizzes on my Facebook profile.

Haha, I know!!! It's so funny, how this survey thing took facebook by storm, especially when MySpace is known for "bulletins" like that. On facebook, it was like an instantaneous chain reaction. So many of my friends did it, and I loved reading them! It's fascinating when you find out facts about someone that you thought you knew so well. After being tagged by a bunch of friends, I gave in and did it as well. It was hard! We think we're all so unique... until we have to put 25 interesting things in a list! It's a like a psychological test... what things you put down, what order, how you word them... :) So many of my friends started complaining about them too... their statuses would say, "ugh, not another 25 Things note" and things like that. I say, if you hate them, don't read them - simple. And at least they're interesting, not some stupid "make-a-wish" chain letter or sappy story.

I'm not much for chain letters or those stupid "forward this or something bad will happen" or "forward this to 25 people and you'll get a million dollars". Those are so ridiculous! But these notes, I'm like hooked! I was scouring my friend's pages to find more to post on my page!

Sometimes I like them, but I have been tagged so darn many times on Yuwie that I finally put links to all my previous tagged blogs in the most recent one every time I do one so that everybody can see them all. Doesn't stop people from tagging me though. Hm, crossing fingers that I won't get tagged, since I think I'm overdue...

I did about three or four of those notes and after a while it started to get hard to think of 25 things that were random that my friends already didn't know about me. But it was fun to see different random things that I didn't know about my friends. Though when it came to my best friend it was great to know that we already knew each other's random things.

I have to be in the mood to answer them. Sometimes it can be sort of fun. Other times I can't be bothered and I wonder if my friends really would want to know this stuff about me. I'm always interested in my friends answers to these things.

They're supposed to be conversation starters. Something to get the ball rolling.

Yes I have seen the notes you are referring to on facebook, I keep getting tagged in them but I have no interest in filling them in!!! I have not really looked at them either but I guess that they are a good way for friends to learn things so maybe I will take a look at one. If I ever get the chance Ive hardly been on the computer at all this weekend!!

I like them too. I don't always do them but I do like them. I like to make them funny. I usually try to make some of my answers funny. I like reading other ones too. My cousin usually does them and she is like me, she likes to put fun answers in. They are still true she just says it in a way that is funny.

In my case, I normally complete them and return to the sender, but I don't forward them on to anyone else. I have one email friend who sends so many of them to me that she must know every pointless little detail about my life by now!

I've never gotten them, but I love answering those kinds of questions. Nice, fun things that make me feel better just reading them!
