Spring is coming! All the little animals are coming out - one of them is insects... Yesterday, when I was in bathroom, going toilet, all in sudden I saw a huge spider on the wall very close to my eye level, I freaked out because spider is one of the things could scare the crab out of me. Then my husband came in but it was gone by that time... then I started to feel they are all around the house and felt so itchy on my body....... you know the feeling? I don't think I like any kinds of insects, I do look at the fury worms though because they have colorful big fuzzy hair sometimes. I just moved in this house for couple months but my husband told me there were a bunch of spiders last year in the house everywhere... it sounds so gross, doens't it? But he said he has killed them all (doesn't mean they won't come visit again...) Do you have couple insect come visit in the summer always How do you react? How much do you hate or like them??

As long as they aren't actually on my persons i'm not that scared of insects. Funny thing though I work in an office with women who are terrified of anything that moves. You hear this loud "eeekk" and you know someone found a bug. They jump out of their seats and refuse to sit down again. I've had to escort numerous insects out of the building. I wonder what it is that makes some people get freaked out and some people don't seem to mind. Were any of you bit or hurt by something as a child?

You ever hear that story where the spider swallows the fly? Those are the two most annoying bugs that comes from the warm weather. I am allergic to every kind of spider bite, so this is a nightmare for me and i hate flies. They seem to think that it's okay to live in my kitchen. I keep bug spray around and fly swatters just in case. I start buying it around the end of summer so i have it in case the weather stays warmer a little bit longer and then I have it just in case again in the spring. We are having wonderful weather here in Ohio and the bugs are rearing their ugly heads......time to get robo-bug-killer on them!

I do get visits from spiders once in a while. They don't scare me unless I suddenly find one crawling on me. I usually just get a tissue and grab the spider, then flush it down the toilet. The only insects I'm really scared of are the flying/stinging types such as bees, wasps and mosquitoes.

Sometimes it is hard to catch the spiders because they move fast and I always miss it then they go away...

I love the spring and summer seasons, but I hate the bugs! Right now we're having problems with spanish lady beetles. For those who don't know what they are, they look very similar to lady bugs, but they bite. Some are more of an orange color and some don't even have the spots. Anyway, they are literally taking over! I worry so much about one biting my daughter, or crawling into her ear. We've got to be careful with insecticides too because of my daughter. Many of those chemicals are very bad for you if you inhale them. We've also already found a few ticks, and ticks are what I hate the most. They are so small and hard to see. We live out in the country and there is a large area of timber not too far from the house. The ticks are really thick around here, and it's one thing that I'm not looking forward to.

I'm scared of spiders too. I hate them no matter how big or small they are. I always get my hubby to kill them, unless he's not home. Then I have to brave it and kill it myself. I also hate roaches. They're nasty. Here in Florida we have some giant roaches that are actually called palmeto bugs. They come in from outside and are huge. They fly too. I'm scared of those things. Thankfully we don't get them in the house very often. But when we do, I go crazy. Don't like them at all.

Well there are certain insects that I am really scared. There are people who get scared at wriggling insects and fearsome looking insects. I do not get scared at wriggling insects but I do get scared at the strange looking ones. And certainly the spiders and the scorpions top my list of being the most scary insects. Well and the most fearsome is the tarantula. I definitely hate and fear that.

I think lady birds are pretty and butterflies are colorful. I find flies quite annoying. I am not scared of spiders but my oldest son is terrified of them. I hate mosquitoes and in some countries these can carry diseases like malaria or yellow fever. In Australia I became used to seeing huge spiders like the harmless huntsman and dangerous small spiders called red backs. Another deadly spider they have there is called the funnel web spider. One time I was staying in a backpackers hostel and a girl woke up and found a cockroach on her pillow. Oh, she screamed. I didn't like them very much and saw them in scurry away when I put the kitchen light on at night. There are nasty little insects called leeches and ticks that I am scared on getting on me. I was bitten by a horse fly and that was painful. In New Zealand I came across annoying sand flies they call them. They are not easy to see but the bites of them are terrible. I know to wear baby oil on my legs to repel them. I am vegan and care about animals. I don't go around killing insects but I do put spiders outside if i see them in my house.

Spring is coming and it will soon be time to unpack the honeybees from their winter wraps. I have 400 colonies of Honeybees that need care and attention every summer. Its lots of fun opening a hive with 50 or 75,000 bees buzzing happily around. Yes I do get the odd sting, but its usually my own fault. Maybe I put my finger on one or otherwise disturbed her. Honeybees are mostly undeveloped females, and each is equipped with a stinger. The males are called Drones and do not have a stinger. Of course I Love my Bees!

Spiders don't bother me. Scoop em up and set them outside. June bugs creep me out though. They fly smacking into you and get twisted in your hair. I have a funny spider story. When my son was little he was eating a ginger snap. He threw a chunk of it on a spider web (we were outside) and the spider went and sat on it. My son still remembers sharing his cookie with the spider.

Yes, I am scared of insects and that is why I pay a big amount of money on insecticides to keep my house insect free. I am not sure if it is harmful or not to use a lot of insecticides. I and my wife both hate all types of insects.

I'm scared of roaches but i don't see them as often as when I was a child. Still gives me the creeps though. Spiders are scary only because they have venom but they are easy to step on and squeeze them with all my might. LOL Roaches fly sometimes and they really scare the hell out of me.

Hi mermaid...I'm not afraid of all insects - just spiders. I ask my husband to take care of them and he usually traps them and releases them outside. Although he doesn't like them either he doesn't like to kill anything.

Heh. Several years ago I used to live in a very old house that, thankfully, we moved out of. It was infested with huge catapillars which I was really scared off. Once I was sitting on the toilet seat, and I saw a huge one - almost 5 inches long!! After that experience im not even arachnophopic anymore XD

Yes, same thing is happens with me. I scared from Lizard very much. Whenever the lizard stands in my bathroom i quickly change my bathroom and not guts to going that bathroom whole day. I not scared other insects like spider and cockroaches, but i scared very much from lizard. I know that lizard will not make any harm to me, but its natural that whenever i saw lizard i scared and i change my way or room. Specially in Hot season the insects is more and more like lizard and spiders.

I detest cockroaches; anytime I see any around, I will run for the insect pump or scream for my husband. I just can't stand the scratching sounds or the smell. It always makes my skin crawl, when I think of them flying around and getting caught in my hair !

I don't think I am scared of any insect. but we just have to take some precautions while handling them. Even I have faced many insects such as cockroaches, spiders, ants, etc. but they will harm your only when you will hurt them Exceptions are always there such as Mosquitos I hate them a lot. They are troubling me every night.

There's really no reason to be scared of insects. They will never harm you unless the provoke them,I'm talking about bees here.Other than that I love to watch all kinds of insects interact. They are very organised beings,in my opinion, more organised than us.

I hate bad insects and scared of worms the most, especially those which have a lot of foot.Every time I suddenly find that there is a worm very closed to me I'll scream out.All this because of I have eaten out a worm of an apple once,I threw the apple away as soon as saw the worm. After that,I'm frightened of eating apples and all the worms. What's more, when washing vegetables,I would be very careful to make sure there won't any worms in the vegetables.I don't know how to overcome the fear.
