You just think of what we learn from history, and anthropology. Many diggings from the past became valuable, which including the writings from the past to record their daily lives and culture. Just come to think of it. A hundred years from now, do you think that your blog, mostly electronic files now, would become a valuable recordings for the future? So, some of your future generation would know about your daily life, your culture as well?

I think many blogs, generally speaking, will become historically relevant decades from now...if any bits of them are stll around by then (due to the disposable nature of websites on the internet). Mine? Well, my news blog perhaps. My personal journal...I dunno, maybe. It'd depend how crazy things get in the near future. A advocate of dystopian predictions would say things could be bad enough where I become some sort of leader in a rebel resistance against a fascist government...but I honestly don't expect that sort of thing to happen, be necessary, or that I'm likely to become that kind of important whatever scenario we all find ourselves in over the next decade xD I hope to live long enough where blogs become historically significant, though, I can tell you. That'd just be a fascinating time to live in.

Hi, ya my blog will be a recording of history of my times in future. Its a recording of my interest and thoughts. Its nice if my blog can pass down for generations just like an historical article.

I think the value of blogs will depend on the writer and topic. My blog is focused on book reviews, so unless you are following trends in publishing, it isn't likely to be of great historical significance. Also, there are many more sources of information today than what existed in the past. Where once personal diaries were key to understanding history, today there are so many outlets providing information that a lot of the communication out there probably would not be considered very valuable. I am not trying to rain on your parade, so to speak, just trying to put the whole blogging phenomenon in perspective. Does it have value? Yes, but it's limited in a world with so many other insights via the media into history.

No. I don't think my blog will be 'valuable' in the future. I'm not that self-absorbed.

Hopefully the future generation will not think of me as a weird "money-faced" creature. I wrote about my feelings about money and gambling and everything that is classfied under "Rich". Rich in white hairs, rich in wits, rich in food, rich in possession, rich in words, rich in imaginations and whatever. Hopefully the future generation will not classify me as alien creature from outer space with a money-face.

Yah. I believe they will be useful someday. Still, it is up to the person to deal with his or her life.
