Do you hate the packing? Do you hate the moving itself? Do you hate leaving your friends behind? What do you hate the most about moving. I really dont like packing. I think that would be the worse thing for me. I dont know many people where I am now so no friends here to miss. When I moved from my home state I missed all my friends and relatives. So what would you miss?

i hate the packing, the moving itself, and leaving the friends behind all the same lol. i have not moved out-of-state yet, so when i have moved, it's been pretty bearable. i don't know how i could move that far. i'd miss my friends and family way too much! my boyfriend is from michigan though, and if we ended up married, he wants to move back to be around his family for a while too.(which is understandable) so that may be something i will have to face one day, after all!

I havent moved that much and am close to where I last moved from so I still see most of the friends that were good friends. We built this time so it was fun to see things come into place as I planned but the packing and storage until this house was built was hardest for us. We lived in an apt 8 months and had "stuff" in three different places. Some of it we never found. I hate the unpacking and getting everything in order and all the moneys for deposits and getting everything on and ready!

Hi, moneymommy! I hate the packing with boxes and getting everything together. I hate to take the time to unpack and put things back in order again..

I really hate it all but I hate unpacking and trying to decide where to place everything the MOST. That is the absolute work task after you have already done all of the packing and moving.

Well, we will be moving pretty soon. The worst part is all the legal stuff before hand. All the paper-work and waiting for things to come through. I really don't mind the physical aspect of packing up, as it will channel all the stress of the legal stuff into activity. Physical work is a great stress-buster. - Derek

I hate moving so i would rather buy an apartment but not rent one!I'll pack all my belongings very time to move and there are too many to bring away, then i'll have to abandon a lot of them! I just had a move last month, how hard for me to deal with my toys and books! Now i can't see my parents and other relatives and my best friends,i always dream about them and miss them very much! I hope one day we return to our secondary hometown and we won't have any move.My children will grow up happily in that city!

On the topic of moving; What I hate the most about moving is the unknown. You know, when you are looking for a new place to call home and search within a certain price range and see what you have to choose from. For me that is the worst part of moving. Once I have found the right place and the wheels are in motion, it is usually all free sailing from there on in. Except for when everything is getting loaded into the moving truck. I find this most stressful. I am always concerned about the security of the boxes in the truck as well as the open doors of the place I am vacating. then when it comes to being on the road. This is even more stressful. Once I am moved, I do miss my friends. I went through this a while back and still mss them, a lot but we stay in touch frequently so that does help, a bit. There will be a time again, in the near future where I will be moving yet again. It will be challenging as I will likely be leaving part of my family behind and is troubling, especially when your parents are getting older. I will miss them as well. Life goes on and look forward to the new horizons regardless.

Moving Day - It's moving day
I don't mind packing its the loading and unpacking I don't like. And the what I miss the most since I moved from my home state is the easy transportation and shopping. Yes I can't forget my family and friends.

I would have to agree that it's the packing, moneymommy. It has been several years since my last move, but I still have not forgotten the endless packing. Had I not had help I would probably still be in the old place.I've thought of moving again for a couple of years now, but every time I consider all of the hard work I decide to stay put.

I don't like the unpacking part. Everywhere I look, there are a lot of stuff to be organized. When my family moved 5 years ago, that was the first time I experienced how it feels to pack all of the things we owned. I thought the packing part was a nightmare, but no. It was the unpacking part that got to me. It took me a week to sort everything and it was something I never want to experience again!

Packing is one of the worst things, but I think more than that I hate having to do the whole change of address, changing of phone numbers, changing of utilities, changing of schools for the kids, and all the other stuff you have to CHANGE.

Hey there! I hate packing, leaving my friends behind, cleaning, adapting to the new place, and moving itself. Like you packing is most that I don't like. I hate putting things in a box and lifting them one by one and load them in a truck or van. I remember the first time we move to a new place, my mother's province, it was so odd. It's like we're different from other people. It's because we speak a different language. Here in my country we have many dialects. We actually don't have any friends until we went to school 4 months later. Imagine that.lol Although there were a lot of things that you can do there I still miss my friends and wish they were here too so that we can all enjoy the place.

I have not moved much and I'm glad I have not! I hate the packing to start with! I hate having to move everything from old place to the new place! The worsest thing I hate about moving is trying to find some to help me move the big stuff like furniture and applicances! The last ime I moved the guy who was helping me didn't show up to help me move my bed on the I had to be out of my old place! I ended up sleeping in a chair the first night at my new place! The jerk who was helping me move finally showd the next day and got my bed moved! The old landlord was not to happy! These are the reasons I don't move alot!

Moving house is hectic. With all the packing and unpacking it is so tiresome. I have been leading a nomadic life and shuttling between two houses does make my life a little unstable. What I miss most when I stay too long in one place is my garden. My fruit trees are bearing fruits now and leaving them unattended is inviting the neighbours to harvest them without my permission.

Hello moneymommy. Having to pack everything is also part that I didn't like when we moved. It was just so tiring. Unpacking is actually harder because it took us days to put everything in order. I remember feeling so exhausted during the process of transferring. There wasn't really much to miss when we moved since it was just a one hour drive from my parents house and we still get to see our relatives and friends from time to time. Thanks. Have a wonderful evening!

I have moved many times in my life and I always lose stuff during a move. So I do not have half the stuff I use to have. It makes collecting anything a pain

I've missed everything that I left behind when I moved from Arkansas to Louisiana. To this day, I still wish I'd have been 18 and not 12 when I moved, that way I wouldn't have had to go anywhere with my parents. lol Moving was a bit of a traumatic experience for me, and I've vowed that if I ever got married and had children, there is no way I'd move from wherever I was living at the time. I'd like to actually grow some roots in a place and not go hopping all over the country.

We have moved a few times in our lives and I tell you I hate everything about it. I don't really mind the packing part of it as long as there is enough time. I hate being rushed to pack only because I like to be organized. When I get to the new place I like to have stuff in the proper boxes that way I know that when I get there I can put the boxes in the appropriate places and then just unpack it. I would love to sometime move out of the area although I still really like it here but there are times where I think something different would be nice. But there is too much involved in a far distance move. we once lived in VA and then moved back to PA and almost all the stuff we had in VA had to be left behind because it was going to cost to much to get all of it back here. I think too that it is hard when you have kids especially once they are in school. Where we currently live we are only 1 1/2 blocks away from the kids' school and it so nice because we know that they can just walk home if need be. I would definately miss alot of thing about where we live now although it is a smaller town and there isn't much to do, I love the fact that there isn't much crime, that everything is pretty convenient and that I don't feel nervous when my kids are in the back yard playing.
