Law firm may be on the hot seat for biden family slam

I'm sure many of you have heard about the rumor reguarding V.P. Biden's daughter being videotaped in a particular illegal activity. I avoided it myself out of good taste and a lack of information. Well, I got a little more information tonight. to date, no one has seen this suposed tape and it is perportedly in the hands of a law firm who is trying to seel it to media outlets after obtaining it from others. It apears this whole thing may have been a set up of sorts, and though I still lack some details, it may not nessesarily be her, and is it is, it may not be what it apears. Now, let me state this. though I am appalled by the current administration and the direction our government is taking this country, I am far more applaed over the atempts of someone to bring pain and anguish to the biden family in this way. It is disgusting, shamefull and a disgrace. I would hope that should this wind up in the hands of a media outlet, that people will boycott this outlet for giving it any air. So far, none of the major news networks have reported on it, to their credit, and the only report I heard on mainstream outlets was a piece on fox about the scam behind the tape itself. The activity was not mentioned, that whole angle of the story wasn't even discussed in fact and any reference to the activity was bleeped and censored out, only the fact that "a tape" is looking like a scam and that the Biden family may have legal recourse. I hope they persue any legal action they can and hang these scumbags up by their tessticles.

The NY Post wrote about this when it first came out, and they said they told the peddler of the tape that they absolutely would not pay for it, but one of their reporters was allowed to view the tape and could not say if it was indeed Biden's daughter or simply someone who looked like her. The actions of adult children (or even teens for that matter) should not reflect on any politician's ability to do their job, even if it was her and she really was doing what she's accused of, it is meaningless in terms of Biden's VP abilities. While the media horribly attacked the Palin family and intruded on their lives at every opportunity, it was WRONG for them to do so, and even though I dislike Biden, it would be just as wrong for them to go after his daughter.

It will end up being just like the one Bush kid that was in trouble and had to go to jail or rehab or whatever. Tells you how well that stuck in my mind lol I pretty much believe that people in the public eye have to watch their every move because someone is always watching and if you don't want to be caught with your hand in the cookie jar- keep it out.

well, it isn't even clear that she was doing what she was perported, it isn't even certain it was her in the tape form what I understand.

They are taking a pretty big chance if this is indeed just a fake or they have the wrong person. Kids get into trouble happens often and anyone that wants to throw the first stone better know what their kids have done lol

The impression I got is that IF this is a real tape, it was filmed by a supposed friend who set it up and wanted to use it as a way to make a quick buck by selling it to a media outlet. Either way, it's disgusting and I want to hear nothing of it unless it's about this jerk being prosecuted criminally.

It is nice of the media that they are not invading the life of the VP Daughter. They are also showing the same respect to the Presidents Children. The media is being very good about showing respect for Political leaders children. It not like they would ever send a reporter thousands of miles to interview the boyfriend of a Governor's Daughter about a breakup or something. They are showing the Democrats all the respect every political leader should receive.

Do I detect a bit of sarcasm here, Bob? Did that really happen, did someone "send a reporter thousands of miles to interview the boyfriend of a Governor's Daughter about a breakup or something"? This is a serious question because I'd been away for over 2 weeks and while I knew Bristol had granted a couple of interviews, which I didn't see, and I understand she said in at least one of them that she and Levi had split. I'll admit, if I were in charge of any news agency I wouldn't waste the money to send someone thousands of miles for an interview but I guess if they want to waste their money that's their business, right? Anyway, I think this is a totally different kind of story from the one that's the topic of this discussion. In this one there's the mater of slander if it turns out to be a scam, which appears to be likely, and with Bristol and Levi they'd been introduced to the country as an engaged couple with a baby on the way, the announcement was made when the baby was born and Bristol has willingly given TV interviews. For the record, I'm all for leaving them alone to get non with their lives and the raising of their baby. Annie

"Did that really happen, did someone "send a reporter thousands of miles to interview the boyfriend of a Governor's Daughter about a breakup or something?" Yes Annie, they really did. ABC News "interviewed" Levi Johnston as he was in his truck trying to drive to work. They actually blocked his truck and interviewed him through the window. On their website they claim he gave them an "exclusive interview", when he was just talking to them so they'd leave him alone. It was disgusting and another example of how low journalism has sunk. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Politics/story?id=7089090&page=1

Actually I hadn't heard about this rumor but I'd like to thank you for your decency in this matter, X, and I sincerely mean that. There are all kinds of scumbags in this world who will stop at nothing to hurt someone and it's just as wrong no matter what political party the victim and/or his or her family belongs to. I also hope the networks continue to refuse to report it and I hope the Biden family does take legal action if this is a scam. I'd feel this way no matter who it was! Annie

You handled it just as I'd have expected you to, of course. So O'Reilly addressed this issue on his show? Annie

She has some prior issues in the past which included an arrest bu the charges were dismissed. Clearly Biden flunked parenting 101 and doesnot deserve to be Vice President. However, it is inexcusable for the law firm to try sell this disgraceful video

I think it's very unfair to any parent who has ever had a child make a mistake or two to say he "flunked parenting 101". I wasn't a fan of former President Bush but I never said he was a lousy father when his daughters got into their little scrapes a few years back. The best, most devoted parents in the world sometimes have kids that mess up. Annie

first, it isn't even certain it was her in this tape or if it was, she actualy did what they claim. I wouldn't hold this against Biden, even if she did it, kids do stupid stuff, I know, I raised 4 of them. My issue was the perported selling of the tape, yuor right, it is inexcusable.

Bill Oriley did a report on this last night. I like the way they did it. They bleeped out the part about what she was supposed to have done. The more unfair and bias the main stream media and the government is, the more fair and balanced Fox news is getting.

I guess that their are skeltons in the closet of every family. I hope that the problem doesnt make it into the mainstream media. I dont know what they would opt to do with it. Ig uess there are problems with some families and the conduct of individual members. I tond think the public needs to scrutinize everything.

I hope the media continues to avoid it too, no need of this at all, it's guerrilla journalism at it's worst.
