Do you think family guy takes it a little too far?

I love to watch family guy, but sometimes when they do the parodies on Jesus i think that's taking it too far, it just doesnt seem funny to me, do you think the same thing? or is it funny to you when they cross those lines?

i dont think so
it is only a 15 so if it realy was taking it too far then somebody in th business would have cancelled epsiodes
but tbh i think family guy is starting to get less funny
south park just seems to be geting better tho =D

some of the jokes do make you wonder how they get away with them, but that's what they're known for. Some of the jokes are purely for shock value, but they're still mostly funny.

yeah it does make me wonder sometimes how on earth do they get away with some of the stuff they do? i admit i laugh a lot with the show, but after you watch so many times you start to rethink the jokes, :)

Family Guy definitely does NOT go too far. In my opinion, anyway. Any time they bring up God and/or Jesus, I find it hilarious. If you don't like the references, then don't watch the show. It really is that simple.

Yeah I get what your saying, some of the jokes are like you are tryiing to heard to be funny and they arent funny, but I think Family Guy is a show that you cant take seriously at all so the jokes where Jesus is involved shouldnt really be taken serious and just be seen as a bit of fun. But I do understand what you are saying :)

Of course i dont take it seriously, but sometimes im sitting watching it and wondering if im the only one that thinks that oh maybe this joke is pushing it a little, even if it is funny...and by the way am i crazy or the whole fight with peter and the chicken really annoying?? i mean how long can they strech that? lol....

I watch Family Guy but yes I do get offended when they cross those lines. It is not funny, and I hate to be the ones that wrote that script, and said those words on the day they stand before there maker.

It doesnt bother me to be hoesnt. Then again im not religiously inclinced and look at it this way...
South Park uses Kids (which is fine) but they sear, and tkae the mick out of everything...and what...their about 10...also they have their own version of Jesus...more parody in that...
Personally COmedy is supposed to go into thing that average people wouldnt have the guts to say...but there is nothing wrong with it, it just narrow minded people who look too deep into it, and take it as offensive, whne its just for entertainment, basicallyas long as it doesnt portray the beliefs of the people who make it and so on, then its ok(btw im not calling you or anyone narrowminded, but thts the type of people who would look too much into it)....
