The name? Could there be a special ingredient missing on the other? The texture?

There is no difference. Ketchup and catsup are different terms for the same thing which is condiment tomato sauce made from tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, salt, and spices. Regardless of how it's spelled, it's great on hamburgers and fries. It does NOT taste good on chocolate. This has nothing to do with catsup/ketchup, but here's an Easter picture of Tukay.

You are very perceptive! Tukay's eyes showed the fact that she knew all the goodies were going to be taken away after the picture was taken. I'm not totally mean though. The chocolate eggs were in a 'birds nest' that was made out of peanut butter and chow mein noodles. I did give her part of that. As much as she likes chocolate, that's poisonous to dogs, so she doesn't get that.

Hey modstar! I don't think that there is a difference, but I'm not really sure! So once again, great question! I think only the name is different. I always thought it was just the spelling and the pronunciation. I could be totally wrong and then I will have learned something to!

I don't there's a difference at all. Maybe it's about how they pronounce on different parts of the world.

Two discussions inspired to start this. The condiments and french fries. I think one if not both of them belonged to you. Hehe, i owe you one.

i think catsup and ketchup is the same but there are some people just like to call it or write it as ketchup or catsup.maybe the difference is the spelling but i dont see anymore difference between tha two.may be it also depends on which country or depends how they pronounce it or call it.

I always thought it was just the whole "pronouncing word differently"/"an object having two names" cases. Like...you say poe-tah-toe while I say poe-tay-toe, you say toe-mah-toe, I say shiny red fruit.

Well, for me, it doesn't matter what's the correct pronunciation or the spelling or the word. What we comfortable of or what we wanted to explain or anything as long as we can purely communicate with each other. It doesn't matter to me.
