No More Votes for the Two Major Parties!

For 8 years we have heard the Democrats tell us how terrible "dubya" is and how much better they would do it, if the voters would just give us a chance. They have had the chance to show us how it's done for 2 years now! So far all we have seen are excuses and mindless Bush bashing. Apparently they didn't really have any ideas, they have only sat in their dirty diapers complaining that it stinks. After proving their incompetence, they were rewarded with not only Congress, but the White House too. What do we get for the trouble? More excuses and Bush Bashing. It's not just the Democrats though... The Republicans worked hard to convince us to give them contol of Congress... once they got it, they didn't seem to notice. They just continued to act as though they were the minority party playing defense against the big bad Democrats. What we've ended up with is a one way, all expenses borrowed trip through Socialist Street to Communist Totalitarianism. Here in Wisconsin the DNC has made voter fraud a spectator sport. In other states, the RNC plays the same kind of games. "Bush spends like a drunken sailor"... "Obama spends like a drunken sailor".. as if we wouldn't notice. Has anyone else wondered how it's "Bush's War", when the Democrat controlled Congress has allocated as much money to the effort as the Republicans did? Am I the only one who noticed that Obama's plan for turning Iraq back over to the Iraq government looks a whole lot like Bush's plan did? 44 American servicemembers have been killed in Iraq since Obama took over as Commander In Chief. Bush was accused time and time again of not caring, yet he met personally with many family members of our fallen troops... Has Obama's teleprompter even mentioned a word about them? Not to worry though, Obama is sending thousands of troops to Afghanistan... but wait, if there's no "war on terror" what's their mission? Both major parties should be investigated under the RICO act for their organized crimes against the People and the Constitution of the United States. Until either party becomes something worth supporting, I say STOP SUPPORTING THEM!

Hello ParaTed, I am no more going to condone judging All Dem's, or ALL Republicans as a grouping than I would condone judging All Blacks or All Whites as a grouping. To do so would dismiss 'salt of the Earth' folks like Pence(R), Minnick(D) and Flake(R). Political parties are no more than groups of individuals. The key is to populate whatever party best represents one's values based on party platform. Which includes expelling those who outwardly work against the party values, instead of turning a blind eye to their condemnable behaviors! To suggest never again voting for a 'good' man or woman from either party is myopic, at best! Secondary or third parties are INCAPABLE of financially promoting 'good' quality candidates, in a real competitive sense. So what? We're supposed to overlook high quality candidates because they align with a party that will help them win? How does that make more sense than fighting to clear the bottom-dwellers out of whichever party best respresents your own personal values????

So which mafia is better to be a member of? Yes, there are many honest members of the two parties, but it's time we cut the power to the corruption that has infested both. The only thing either of the parties care about is molesting the Constitution and wielding power NOT granted them in the US Constitution. Of course, if there is a candidate who you can get excited about, I'm not telling you who to vote for. All I'm saying is I can't stomach the complete lack of respect the parties show to our nation, our Constitution or honesty and integrity.

Hello ParaTed, I would suggest that all that either party cares about is winning -- at any cost. Which is out of sych with the values of the majority of our citizens. Both parties have been allowed to be populated by the unscrupulous because the rank in file vote ignorantly -- either uninformed or underinformed. Replacing the DNC & the RNC with the ABC and the DEF will bear out the identical net results unless the American voter wakes up, and makes a concerted effort to shape their party in accordance with their personal and our national values. The grass isn't greener on the other side. It's typically just wilder, and in need or more fundamental organization. A whole lot more seeding, mowing, fertilizing, etc...

Luna, my concern is that the bottm feeders are now the majority, the rest floow along. It's an establishment problem itself, both parties at least at the national level and even at the state level in some places are now an establshment party. it's one thing to gather with people who have basic like minded goals and purpose, but when those goals and purposes become destructive to our republic, they then have become a threat and to continue supporting that corrupt establishment group only furthers their destructive ends.

I have to agree...I've been saying we should do without parties. The main two have shown us how stupid and divisive it ends up being if you let it go on long enough (and let them monopolize things). SO, time for a revamp of how we do things, I say. No votes for the main two and go for those "fringe" guys or, as I like to refer to them; the guys who don't follow the old rules. ^_^

The "old rules" are only there because we choose to allow them to be there. If we all (or most of us) decide to simply stop believing in them and supporting them, they will easily crumble away. Haven't we see that happening on both lesser and bigger scales in different sorts of government movements and assemblies of power? Hypocrisy. I knew better than to pin my hope on someone I wasn't sure would be awesome (thought maybe, didn't KNOW)...but I can't blame those who still do that, because I can see the desperation for something real..and how it leads to the denial that something's fake. It's happened before. It'll probably happen again. BUT we can change the system. Doubt. Such a funny thing no? It's OK to doubt, it's just not okay to let doubt become an excuse for inaction. I'm -not- an optimist nor a pessimist. I struggle, at times, between them...but I try for the balance of realism. I try to observe people, trends, how the world works now and has worked...and from there I weigh odds. Change is actually easier once you get it started, the key just is, getting it started. That funny thing, that doubt, is just one of the frustrating obstacles that exist by belief alone. Bah. People. ^_^ sorry for the rant, dearie. I just feel very strongly on this subject.

All I really have to say is that I am glad that I am not a Democrat! I do not want to support a party that believes it is ok to have an abortion. I would be ashamed to say that I am a Democrat. All obama seems to know to do is to throw money at problems instead of really trying to solve them. I see no mention by obama of trying to outlaw adjustable rate mortgages that got us into this finnancial mess. We need good leaders that know what they are doing.

What you have said is true ParaTed. But what do you do about the fact that very few people run for office that are worth voting for? I look at the people who are in there and I cannot see very many that I would vote for.(I am talking about Congress. Obama is invisible...) My own Governor who I did not vote for took a surplus and spent it all in a year and now my state is in the hole...big time. We have one pricipal to three schools next year. That is weird. No one of decent caliber even runs. The good guys don't want to associate with the trash in Congress and I don't blame them. Obama is just a figurehead for the Trilateral Commission and the World Bank. He is just a talking teleprompter and a pretty face. Most of his contributions came via the internet so they were untraceable and unaccountable. They came from overseas and most likely from the Trilateral folks and the World Bank, maybe his Arab friends and Iran who knows. He may not know. He just got what he wanted. He does not have to do anything except have his expensive parties every week and insult Heads of State. Well, most Heads of State. He does not care about the war or our folks fighting it. It took him forever to make a statement about the captive captain in the Indian Ocean. When he did, you could tell someone else had written it. The lady who read it on the news even had a funny look on her face as she read it. It sounded like it came out of a book or something. I am still trying to figure out Obama's angle on Afghanistan. It has nothing to do with this nonsense about it being "a good war". That is just nonsense that the media made up to explain the unexplainable. He has another agenda. It has something to do with Al Qaeda and the Talaban. He is going to make some kind of kinky deal with them and give Afghanistan to them, I just know it. Shalom~Adoniah

Yep, this should be a great time for at least one of the other parties out there to gain momentum. Amazingly enough, I don't see any clear leadership form and/or make statements. Are they asleep at the wheel? I see it done a lot at the lower levels especially when it comes to the tea parties. All I say is, they have to act now to take advantage of the overall disgust most Americans have right now towards those who are in charge right now.

I have agree with you whole heartedly. Both parties are not doing this country any good. Both have wasted trillions of dollars. Neither knows what fiscal responsibility is. THey are all bought and paid for by lobbyist and special interest groups. THey do not respect personal rights or freedoms much less the constitution of this country. I say we vote them all out and start voting in people who will actually do the job appropriately.
