We all know that during earth quake the earth shakes and the intensity of earth quake depends on how mild the earth shakes. The place where i like had an earth quake once when i was a kid in the night at 1.00 A.M .I was in deep sleep and didn't know about it until i went to school. All my friends were saying they experienced an earth quake .I think most of them were lying as they were saying that their bed was shaking and they fell off the bed ,I came to know from news and my father that it was not that mild earth quake as my friends have said.So have you ever experienced an earth quake and what were your feelings then.

Yes, we had had an earth quake when I was only 8-9 years old. Well, my parents said that the bed was vibrating and many things fell from the table. Although it was mild but still my parents woke and wanted to light up the bulb but somehow couldn't do it. I literly had no idea of what has happened at 0200 hrs on that night but my school mates were saing that they felt the shake at night. I feel very angry about myself that I was sleeping when that has happened!

Hi Deepika, Yes, I experienced earthquake before. I remember it happen when I was in Grade School. I think it was one of the biggest earthquake we have encounter in the Philippines. We live in Bulacan, and the center of the earthquake I think was in Baguio. There were many people killed that time during the earthquake. And I was in school that day and we are crying under our table because of the impact. We are very scared that time. But were glad that nothing in us get hurt.

Hi deepika201, I'm from Indonesia.. you know in the last few years.. Indonesia had some earthquakes, some are mild and some are big and dangerous. Three years ago when I was sitting on my chair in the evening watching TV, the walls of my house seems like tremble with such of noise. And some people in my neighborhood were shouting "Earthquake... come on get out from your house for your life!!" with Indonesian language of course, and without any comment I grabbed my little child and run outside from the house to follow my wife ... for about 5 seconds I still felt the earthquake, it was scarry and terrible, but thank God it was a mild earthquake, so it didnt make any destruction on my house neither my neighboors houses.

While we were living in Tennessee a few years back, I guess there was a small earthquake while we were sleeping. We didn't even feel it and slept all the way through. Later when everyone was talking about it, we felt deprived at having missed it. Fortunately it was nothing that did any damage, but we'd still have liked to be able to say we'd felt an earthquake.

That's funny because we frequently experience earth quakes in our city. It's pretty common here.

I grew up in Los Angeles. I experienced the 1971 Sylmar quake and the 1994 Northridge quake as well as a number of smaller ones. With Sylmar, I must have been scared, I was just a kid. With Northridge, I was an adult and I knew what to do. Still I never slept with earplugs after that, so it must have affected me!

Hey deepika! Yes I have experienced an earthquake! I live in New York where we were always told that we were never supposed to have earthquakes! Well, about 20 years ago we had a nice sized one that was really unexpected! It was about 6:00am and all of a sudden I heard this loud noise like I've never heard before. It was like a roar and then the walls strated to shake and the bed started moving across the room! I don't know how long it lasted, but I will never forget that roar! When it was over I turned on the radio and found out that it was an earthquake! I live about 5 minutes from the epicenter! The next day there was an after shock when I was in the shower! Hasn't happend since, but I will never forget it!

I was 13 when the devastating 7.7 earthquake happened in Luzon. I was, however, in the schoolbus which was bumping up and down a dirt road. So technically I was there, but I didn't feel anything. I may have not felt the big one, but since we live in one of the countries in the Pacific Ring of Fire, I have experienced several minor ones in my lifetime.

Tsunami - Caused a mild earthquake at home
Do you remember the Tsunami of 2004? On that day I woke up at 7AM with the mild tremor of the earthquake as it hit India. There was no major damage where I stayed but you are aware of the havoc it caused. At home the panes and glasses shook but nothing fell off. We live on the second floor.

I don't live in a place that is prone to earthquakes. But slight ones do happen from time to time and I remember once quite a long time ago now, I was woken up by the bed being shaken by a slight earthquake. I did not realise what had happened until later on when I saw the news.

Yes i have certainly gone through that horrible experience of earthquake. It was when i was very little kid as i was fast asleep in my bed at night around 3 p.m. and at first i didn't knew it occurred. But suddenly my father awakened me and took me in his arms and we went down the building living the house open merely. Such was the intensity of the earthquake that every member in our building and the adjacent building too came down , then after sometime i found out that it was an earthquake. Much to my surprise, it lasted about 15 minutes.
