Why do we do the same mistakes?

A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory. I stumbled upon this and it kept me thinking for a while. Is there nothing then called clear conscience or we just forget, forgive, move on and still do the mistakes?

Oh yes sometimes we have to run into that brick wall a few times before we get that it hurts. And don't do that. But we all do it. It is like school some people are smarter is all. And someof us have to keep trying till we get it right. Like Hard head makes a soft behind. Have a great day. Your friend onlydia

Hey mimpi! You are such a great person and so wise! I don't know if we conciously forget things that are bad for us or if it is a sub-concious forgetfulness. Sometimes when things are too painful we just put them in the back of our minds and sort of forget them! So, we think that we have a clear conscience, but we actually don't really. That is probably why we do make the same mistakes over again. When things are painful we just move them to the back of our minds and forget the pain until the next time and end up doing the same thing again, and that's when we remember. But, by then it's too late~

Hello my darling! I think we make the same mistakes over and over until we learn from them and can move on, which is why we pick out the same kind of unsuitable footwear or partners until finally we realise what we need rather than what we want, lol. As for a clear conscience, well I try never to do anything that I'll feel bad or guilty about and that helps, otherwise I forgive myself and hope to remember another time to behave in a different way. That's part of being human isn't it ? We all commit mistakes and learn from them. But it does not mean that we still do not make them. They may not be exactly similar in nature and detail and circumstances will be different. The consceince being clear i think is subjective and relevant to a point of time.To say that you have always had a clear concience means that you never committed amistake and regretted. It's more that the mistakes once accepted get moved into the past. That helps to quite an extent for if the conscience keeps reminding us of the mistakes we do, then it does kind of restrict our moving on with things. And when we do move on sometimes the memories of these mistakes corrects us and sometimes it does not or we tend to be sure that the same thing will not happen again. Hope this makes sense ?

Hi mimpi! That does make you think. What it means to me is that noone is perfect and has made mistakes. To think any different would mean you have a very bad memory. It means that there is noone that has no regrets. We all have at least one.

oh my the answer is so simple...we are just letting ourselves do that or we are hardheaded people or we haven't learned anything from the first one. try to think of it, those mistakes have a lesson already we just dont know how to accept the fact the it is.. life is just a cycle so nothing wrong with it. start from the beginning then learn. happy mylotting!

As long it doesn't cost us much we can afford to repeat the mistakes and call it the cycle of life! I feel, we must try to forego the bads and the same kind of mistakes. Thanks chaolai.

i dont know,i think a clear conscience would mean that we did everything possible to right the wrong .to makes mistakes is human naturs but to rectify our mistakes requires some amount of strenght or will-power.

Howdy mimpi911!... We do those same mistakes because we always doing or choosing the same of what we have did or chose previously. It is like lost in a large wilderness and ends-up always on the same place where have been or just going in circles. To make success from those mistakes must take some other choices or might as well take some risks or the other things usually don't wanted to do. The best is always be the master of self. Self discipline. Always stay on focus to every goals in life ahead. Have a healthy lifestyles. And always be happy. Thanks and Enjoy!... myLot!...

Clear conscience for me is that I admit my mistakes and ask forgiveness to the person whom I committed it or maybe just forget the things I've done and justify what I did but as much as possible if I can ask for forgiveness I will ask for it. And try to move on and will not commit another mistakes cause we have to admit it is very hard to accept the things we done wrong and ask forgiveness to them.

The goal, as I know you know is to forgive and move on but NOT make the same mistakes. There is more than one meaning for "forget" so that we can learn from mistakes without bringing them up over and again to try to embarrass those who made them.

One can continue in keeping a clear conscience, by the simple fact in knowing that...LEARNING "sometimes" involves...making mistakes. One would not be human, otherwise. Do not necessarily forget, but rather "forgive thyself"...THEN move on. cdrxo

To be human is to err...I guess that mistakes are life lessons, if we never made mistakes we would never learn anything although I have to wonder why we sometimes keep repeating the same errors time and time again! To me a clear conscience is not forgetting but being at peace with mistakes having learnt from them and no longer cringing at the memory and having the hope that the errors will not be repeated.

We do the same mistakes because we don't want to change.

it just means that we still act humans. we keep on doing the same mistake for we are still not learning, see how we keep on going to school? it is the same as that, we have that very long years in learning, some lessons maybe new but some are not and we really have to master it before we graduate. actually, its not just the same as before, you just have to see it in birds eyeview and you'll realize some details you just thought not new to you.
