Survey sites: Are You Thinking of Dropping Any Once You Reach Payout?

Hi, I'm a member of a handful of survey sites and I'm trying to do a bit of spring cleaning in terms of which ones to drop once I reach payout. The ones I plan on dropping include: - GlobalTestMarket.com: I've almost reached the $50 payout. Once I do, I'm dropping it as it takes me at least 6-8 months to reach payout. - Acop.com - the surveys I receive are VERY few and far between. Their surveys are interesting, so it's a shame really. - Opinionworld.co.uk - I get regular surveys but very few of them pay. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE IS DOING A BIT OF SURVEY SPRING-CLEANING? And if so, which ones do you plan on letting go? Thanks.

I used to do surveys but have stopped doing them. I guess you could say I have dropped only about five or so, but as for all of their names I couldn't tell you. I do remember one was through aol, and the others I continue to get emails for but do not pay attention to the names of these, if I even check the email address that these surveys go to.

Hi SomeCowGirl, Why did you stop doing them altogther - or did it happen over time?

Some survey sites don't necessarily ask you about stuff like that. And some (like Pinecone Research) will sometimes send you the actual product they'd like you to comment on. If it's something you get back into one day, just stick to a very small handful of really good ones. take care and have a fab weekend.

Well to be honest while I did receive the emails, I either had only done one survey or didn't even bother to do any. I guess it's all the things I've heard about surveys, the sites, and really I don't want to put my opinion about some I either know nothing about, or don't care about ever purchasing.

I did some survey spring cleaning in Jan and have since quit Zoom Panel after reaching and receiving the payout..Planning to quit Global Opinions Panel which has a high payout and few surveys once I reach the minimum payout! GlobalTestMarket - I have found this good, just received my second payout since November and they send surveys very regularly with a good amount of points.. Other faves so far are Pinecone, Lightspeed and the rest are listed on my blog link on my profile page..

Hi marina321, Uh huh, I'm with Zoom Panel and Global Opinion Panels - not sure I'm willing to stick around to reach payout on those two, but we'll see. GlobalTestMarket and Pinecone are one the better ones. I like LightSpeed, but have you found that it's kinda dropped in terms of the amount of points you get per survey and the amount of time you're expected to spend on it? I like your blog. I pass by it from time to time. take care...

Content writing is definitely a step up from review sites. Is there any particular area of writing you'd like to explore?

The only survey site I've ever joined would be GlobalTestMarket. But I find it boring and I've not been waiting long enough to participate before I totally quit altogether. I have heard some successful stories on people achieving in survey sites but I don't have the interest to. However, it's cool that you are going to reach your payout soon. All the best to you..

Hi zed_k4, Yes, GlobalTestMarket can be slow-going depending on your profile. I've reached payout, received the cheque and have moved on from it. I do appreciate the $100 I've made with them to date, but I'm done with it. Have a good July. take care...

I don't do survey sites but I do writing sites. I signed up for quite a few and submitted work only to find that with some you need to be active or you lose money and other negative things that you don't find out right away. I am spring cleaning also and trying to not waste my time anymore. Mylot is something I need, a place to vent and get your mind off stuff, but if you don't participate regularly you "lose" money here also. I think it takes time to figure out what is worth your time and what isn't. for me, I am unemployed so I am looking to supplement my income and perhaps find a new career. my unemployment won't be forever.

Hi NuttyMomma, What writing sites were those? Was Bukisa one of them by any chance? Maybe this is something you do already, but do you write for instant pay rather than for writing sites? (I mean, for e.g., writing an article or blog for someone for an agreed amount). Life means that what sat well with you months or years ago might not sit well with you today. Change and growth happens whether we knock on its door or not. What areas are you looking at in terms of supplementing your income? Is there any way I can help? You can also get in touch with CatGods - she's a myLot member here. Do a search for her. She's doing all manner of things to make money online - following the beat of her own drum. take good care...

I am actually at the opposite end as you. I am working on building up my sites to earn money online! Is it worth getting rid of the sites that take a while to pay out? Even if you only get paid twice a year, that is still money that you wouldnt have had otherwise! Most of the time when it takes a long time to build up the money, it is because you dont get very much from them. So it wont take up a lot of your time. Does that make sense? Thats just the way I see it. That sucks that the one site doesnt usually pay for the surveys. I would totally drop them too! There is no reason for that! Hope you are able to find a good balance of sites that pay often but still able to make some money online!

Hi derilaStern, Good luck with the site-building. How do you plan on monetising them? Is it worth getting rid of survey sites that take ages to reach payout? For me, yes. For others, maybe not, and I respect that. I'm very much in a spring-cleaning state of mind so I'm taking stock of what I feel isn't serving me anymore. take care...

I was just curious what your reasons for getting rid of them are - other than just because they dont pay often. Everyone has a different system. I havent fully developed mine yet, so any input is good input! Im not sure how I plan on monetising them! I havent thought about it yet. Any suggestions for what works for you?

Wow, GlobalTestMarket.com takes that long? I've been in CashCrate for 20 days now, and I've reached $22 U.S. dollars (and I only invest 30-60 minutes a day). One of the sites I'm thinking of just quitting is InboxDollars.

Hi JSKunou, I think with GlobalTestMarket, depending on each individual's profile, some people reach payout faster than others. Having reached payout twice, it takes a good while for me. CashCrate: been there, done that, wasn't for me. But I'm glad it's working for you, though :-) Why are you thinking of packing InboxDollars in?

Hi, I see, so GlobalTestMarket sends the type of surveys you can qualify for or not. Those annoy me since I never seem to qualify. LOL Well, about Inbox Dollars, I subscribed many times through many emails by accident due to completing surveys on CashCrate and TreasureTrooper. InboxDollars has 0 tolerance on households having more than 1 account. And the payout is $30 dollars. That's quite a lot.

Ok, I hear you. In my experience, I've found that I make more when I create interesting discussions that attract more responses. Maybe you could try that. take care...

I've dropped survey sites in the past, but only those that pay only in sweepstakes entries. NPDOR is an example of one of those -- I actually always enjoyed their surveys, but I felt like I couldn't afford to just take surveys purely for fun right now. I don't really mind the "laggard" sites like ACOP; sure, they can't provide me a regular income of any sort, but when you do get a survey you get paid. As for Global Test Market, I think they're one of the very best sites around because they pay you even when you don't qualify for a survey.

Nah, I am not going to drop any of mine. I really enjoy them all and they make me some good money. I have added some in the last few months though. I added pinecone research, which is a great site and Im very happy to be apart of. Im sorry your having a hard time with your sites. If your ever wanting to add some new ones you can check out my blog(the link is in my profile) Have a great day!

Hi oscar6, I'm with Pinecone Research too! It's one of the few I plan on holding on to. I wouldn't go as far as saying I'm having 'a hard time' with the sites, but what I am doing is streamlining them, weeding out the ones that aren't working for me anymore and holding on to the ones that do. Glad you're having a blast with yours - it makes it so much easier if you enjoy it. take care,...

Yeah, I'm a member of a handful too, and I'm doing some spring cleaning also, I'm a member of GlobalTestMarket too and I think once I reach payout on that one I'm cancelling it, which will be awhile because I never qualify for surveys..lol. Another one is Mindfield, InboxDollars, it takes so long to get anywhere with them and Surveyhead. I too get alot of surveys from them but I don't qualify for alot of them, and I've already got some money in my accounts with them so I don't want to lose it, so I have to wait till I can reach my payout to cancel.

Hi, I'm allllmost close to payout on GlobalTestMarket and haven't received a survey from them in a while so only God knows when I'll be able to cash out. Ah well. Surveyhead is quite generous with the amount that they pay per survey - however, like you, it takes ages to qualify for one and therefore eventually reach payout. take care...

Fair enough. I hear ya. I think with myLot, it's best not to focus too much on the money as it pays soooo little. However, as a discussion pool and for asking questions, it's not bad as you can often get some really helpful answers from members. What do plan on moving on to?

I will probably stick with the ones I am using. I am being more selective on which ones I want to respond to based on how much they are offering and how long it looks like it might take.

Hello, I'm from India.I have been taking GlobalTestMarket surveys for a long time.I have made 840 market points till now and I have no idea when I will reach 1000 market points. But once I do and request payment,I'll surely stop taking further surveys from this site.It requires too much of time and patience and I don't want to devote any of that once I acquire 1000 market points.Though I must admit that they send interesting surveys. In India we also have ciao surveys which I love taking because the incentives are high. For each Rs.100 that you make they allow you to buy something worth that amount from indiatimes.com. I have bought 3 story books and some kitchen utility items,so you can imagine how many times I have cashed out. :-) That is to say I have made Rs.1800(INR) by being around just for a year.I'm really happy with this site and would not think of leaving it.

Hi oindy54, I had the same problem with GlobalTestMarket. The last 100 points or so took me ages to reach. I'm glad you're enjoying Ciao Surveys and that it's working so well for you. take care and have a great July.
