if my eyes get tired, I will be using eye drops, and then I will close the eyes. if my eyes get tired, I will stop using the computer first.

I have been looking at trees and fields since I was young because they say it is good for the eyes. However, I find no difference. When my eyes are tired, I just close my eyes, take a short break. At times, I would go for a walk and look far away. At times, I cup my hands over my eyes.

Staring out at a distance object and then giving them a good wash is something that i do immediately when i feel the tiredness in my eyes. If i can then i also try to shut them for sometime and get some sleep.

hello vivian! ^^ i close my eyes when they get tired. sometimes i just stop looking at the computer or watching tv and look at something else that are not bright. i don't know know about looking at green plants but they say there are things that are soothing to the eyes. so i guess looking at beautiful things like flowers would help soothing tired eyes too.

I used to work and sit at a computer all day as well, and I used to get very sleepy. To wake me up a bit I would go and splash water on my face or listen to some music, that used to help quite a bit.

A friend of mine adviced me to look away from the monitor every hour and look at something green or blue so that my eyes can relax a bit. She also taught me how to carefully massage my eyes so that the nerves in my eyes will relax. Its like rubbing the eyes but using our fingertips and much gentler. If you try it you would immediately notice that it would seem like you just woke up from sleep when you open your eyes.

My eyes used to get tired until I discovered a trick of every 15 minutes or so, look at the wall behind my monitor for about 15 seconds. It seems to work for me, but a friend of mine, said it didn't for him. So I guess we are all a bit different with techniques like this. - Derek

It depends on how long I have been in front of the screen. I have been told that I need to look away from the screen more. I do put eye drops in my eyes just about every day, too. It seems my eyes do bother me from being in front of the computer since some days I am here the better part of a day doing all sorts of things. I have a television in the same room which is usually on, so I try to watch it as I type so I am not so long looking at the computer screen.

i'm one of those i have to admit. so when my eyes start getting tired, i go away from the computer for a few minutes and take a break. i wash my face, and maybe have some bite or go and snack, close my eyes, anything that makes me and my eyes relax. i've never used eyedrops though

Hi Sminut, Too bad that i use eyedrops, i think i am kind of relay on that, i think the best way i should do is to have my eyes rest.

yes you may get too reliant on eyedrops, it's always best to use the natural method in this case, let your eyes have some rest.

When my eyes get tired sometimes I close them for a few minutes or hold a cold wet cloth over them or put eye drops in them but most of the time I just walk away for a few minutes and I find by just walking away for a few minutes and getting my concentration some where else usually does the trick.

I know exactly what you mean by not being able to stop looking at the screen but sometimes we have to because not only our eyes are tired but many times a headache will follow! I hate to walk away when I am busy but I know that my work suffers for it when I can not see the screen properly, so when I take a break I usually do some chore that needs doing and then I am happy that my eyes are no longer tired but I have managed to accomplish getting yet something else done that needs doing also so it's a win win situation!! Good luck!

My work requires me to work in front of the computer which usually after a while tires my eyes out. In order for me to take away the pain and discomfort in my eyes, I take a little break and go outside for some fresh air. I look at the trees in the distance and the greenery as that helps relax my eyes. I also close my eyes for a bit and get them to relax before starting again in front of the computer.

Computer screen do tire the eyes, that's for sure! I write a lot and I spend most of my days in front of a computer and usually when my eyes are tired I will end up with a headache if I don't take a break. For me taking time out is the best way to revitalise my eyes. I have not heard about green plants, interesting, must try it!

I usually just stay away from my computer.. avoiding to look at my monitor and close my eyes. I could really relax my eyes by doing that.. before I used eye drops but.. my doctor didn't recommend it to me for it has a different side effect on my eyes.. :|

I go to sleep when my eyes feel tired because that usually means I'm tired ha. The computer doesn't really bother my eyes, however, If I am in a movie for a long time sometimes my eyes will start to hurt and not feel good. Last night they did that when I was watching a movie in the theater and I had to walk out and give them a break.

Before I got laid off last monday I wa on the computer probably twelve hours a day-nine at work then maybe three at night. My eyes don't hurt unless I am watching a movie. When I was little my eyes would hurt a lot but now its like I have gotten used to it.

when my eyes felt tired I just stop from what I'm doing, close my eyes and try to relax my body. It is because my eyes became hot when it is tired. but sometimes is just wash my face to relax it.
