What is the one morning chore that irks you most?

I was wondering to all of you out there that are housewives or even if you are a person that works outside of the home. If you happen to be the main care taker of the house I was wondering which daily chore is it that you have to do that irks you the most? I would say that in my instance there are some chores that I would rather not have to bother with but I don't feel right if they do not get done. Like make the beds and do the laundry. If I can get away with it I can forgo the laundry for one day but then it just builds into another day giving me more to do! So I was just wondering which duty is it that you need to do that you wish you didn't have to. Thanks for all responses.

My momma always said that if the woman cooks, then her husband should be good enough to do the dishes! I cannot stand to do the dishes. This is an unending war in my house. My husband and I both try our hardest not to do the dishes...lol. I eventually do them myself because I tend to be a little OCD and he dosen't do them right anyway.

You would think that if a woman cooks then her husband would be kind enough to help out with washing dishes. I guess it is just one of those things that a husband feels he doesn't have to do. He might figure that he works and deserves a good meal and then be able to relax. I can see where this could start some strife in the house hold. However it might work out well for some people. I am basically saying that it does not necessarily reflect badly on the husband if he just wants to come home and eat and relax.

it is doing the dishes that my night owl husband leaves. i told him to just put the dishes in the sink since when he washes the dishes the sink gets clogged. anyway, better to wash the dishes myself (even if it irks me) than to have the greater problem of clogged sink.

Well right now we don't really have many chores that we have to do. We clean the kitchen on Wednesday's to help his mom, and we do our bathroom and we clean our room. We also do our laundry. That's not really all that much responsibility. However, out of that I'd have to say what I hate doing the most is the litter box. Luckily we don't have kitchen duty today, so we're happy about that.

i like your question in a way since i never disliked any chore. however, when the timing isn't right then that unsettles me: like finding dishes, again, in the sink when i woke up. my husband stays up late all the time (he's a night owl) and often eats. i told him then to just leave the dishes in the sink since when he cleans up the sink gets clogged. i have no choice but to tell him this or have a clogged sink. still, i think any wife would frown on dirty dishes, again, first thing in the morning.

I really can't stand cleaning the floors or the bathtubs. As I've gotten older I just feel the strand on my back. I would rather do laundry!

I hate with a passion unloading the dishwasher. It annoys me to have to do it. And I do not clean bathrooms. My husband does that for me... (I am spoiled) I have a cleaning service that comes in once a week and does a major clean, I do the cleaning the rest of the week and keep things picked up. I am very picky about being organized etc. it is my OCD

cleaning is irritating but I have to do it because I don't like clutters and dirty house. usually the living room needs more dusting because my cat likes playing there. I have dust allergy so it irks me a lot to clean the house but after I'm finished I don't sneeze as much so it's worth it.

hello and god morning bamakelly, I am a fulltime working assitance nurse. But one thing I always have to do every morning weekdays is waking my son up. That is the hardest job I have as a parent. My son is 18, that is of age, but he has the disorder of ADHD. This means that my job still go on, waking him up. My son is on medication, for both be able to focus in school and his work there, and to be able to sleep in nights. He has hard time to fall a sleep, normal situation for most kids with ADHD. But still, he can not wake up by him self. We have tried everything. It take lots of my energy in the mornings to get him out of bed. But something I have to do.

I live here with my 15 yr old daughter. I actually really love my place and love cleaning it and making it look good. I think the chores that I dread are the ones that you don't see at a glance but they are there like cleaning the oven, the frig, oh...behind the frig. I hate those sorts of chores a lot. Cleaning little junk drawer's & things aren't so bad but still, I tend to let them go until you just can't shut the drawer anymore.

I don't like to make the beds. Although I live alone, yes I have bedS. My mom's room that she uses when she's here has a bed and my dog Cookie loves to sleep on it. I hate shutting the door so I make the bed every day. I'm going to have to tuck in the blankets and remove the pillows, maybe that will discourage her and I'll only have my own to make!

Hi bama...Since I don't have a dishwasher I hate doing the dishes. We were using paper plates for awhile but it's not the same as using real dishes. And of course we use real cups and silverware and baking dishes. So I feel like I'm constantly washing dishes. I truly try to do as much as I can after dinner so there's not a pile in the sink when I get up in the morning but some evenings I just collapse!

Honestly I hate having to be the person to make the new pot of coffee. I know it is not really a chore per say but it is so annoying.I wake up and I really am not awake so I reach for a cup of coffee and realize that there is none.x/ Then I just get angry seeing that person walk off with the last drop of coffee, that didn't have the courtesy to make a new pot.=/ Yea I know it sounds like I am not a morning person and I guess that really is the truth.lol But yea that is like my biggest pet peeve in the mornings.Other than that I would say having to go the bathroom when I don't want to get up,xD because that feels like a chore lol.

It's really stupid, but of all the chores, I hate to unload the dishwasher! It's really really easy, so idk why I hate it so much, but I will get anyone else in my house to do it just so I don't have to. That, and taking out the trash. Bleh!

Brushing my teeth is the hardest thing I have to do, I just hate to do it, but I can't stand my dirty mouth. I have so much to do and to take time out to brush my teeth just irritates me.

Kelly- I hate doing trash, so it is a job my husband has agreed to do for me. I am not sure what about the job I despise, but I have always hated doing it. I also do not clean out the litter tray. I leave that for hubby, and he graciously takes care of it for me. Thank goodness! Most of the other chores I don't mind. I know I commented on one of your earlier threads about our style of household chores, so for us we try to work together. Recently we went to doing one room each day of the week (two rooms on one day as we've 6 rooms and don't want to work on the weekend). On these days we have devoted to cleaning that room from top to bottom. Our goal is to make our weekly whole cleaning slowly disappear so we can devote more time to family things. So far, it is going well. Namaste-Anora

I hate, hate having to do dishes, I can honestly deal with everything else but a: collecting all the dishes, since no one ever thinks to actually take them back to the kitchen when they're done and b: actually doing them is a pain in my butt.
