How many hours of sleep is enough for you ...?

I do come across people who just sleep for just 3 - 4 hours a day during the night and they still look so fresh the next morning and still able to work their way through the whole day. For me, I would need at least 7 - 8 hours of sleep every night. If not, I will just feel so sleepy over the afternoon. So, how many hours of sleep is enough for you on a daily basis ?

12! Kidding. It doesn't really matter for me because I think it's how my day goes that determines my energy level. ;) I can even go on 3 days without sleep.

On the 4th day, I was snoring awake. ;D Anyway, we must sleep at least 6 hours a day! I mean, sleep is restoration, so if you want to be energetic, enthusiastic and wide awake, sleep early. ;)

I have the same problem too. I have friends who sleep at 1 or 2 in the night and wake up at 5. And they don't look tired at all! But to come to think of it, they will probably age faster due to the lack of sleep. We all need rest:)

I don't think so... am referring about age, cause I still look like a middle school student. I guess that just depend on the person.

I could go on sleeping only 4hours a day for a month or more and being in good shape in the daytime except my black black eye circles and terrible skins. I usually only go to sleep when I feel mentally tired if i have a tight schedule and I have a rather good quality of sleeping. But in fact, sleeping is really a joy of life and when i'm free, i try to sleep as much as i can. It's my leisure time.

My sleeping habits are really irregular. Sometimes 3-4 hours of sleep is enough to get me through the day, and other times I need 8 hours. On some occasions I've slept for 11 hours or more. I think that maybe stress causes me to sleep like that.

I need about 5 hours sleep every night, any less and I turn into an evil snarling monster thing, lol

God morning rtslvtwy, I went to sleep about 00:00 and I woke up now about 04:00 I probably would have gone back to sleep if I was not going to work tomorrow morning. But I need to get early to bed tonight and to be enoug tired early I got up early this sundaymorning. I usually sleep about seven hours a night. I work full time and starts 07:00 and ends at 16:00 mostly. I am very tired weekdays when I worked and fall a sleep about 22:00 and go up about 4:30 I just had my five days of from offline work and I am relaxed and not that tired so...tomorrow I am back with lots of new energy...

I can get around 6-7 hours of sleep and be fine. Its weird how some people can go without such little sleep. Although the probably get used to it. I mean if you went to bed and got 4 hours of sleep for a month you would get used to easily. I just don't think its very good for your health. Happy Mylotting!!!

5 hours of sleep would be enough. I've also read somewhere that 5 hours of sleep is enough for an adult. I can manage 4 hours of sleep but anything less would be unhealthy. I try to catch some sleep whenever i have the chance. It's wise to take a nap once in a awhile to relax your mind and keep you away from stress. I don't take a nap though, i feel like i'm wasting a lot of time.

I need at least 7 hours of sleep at night. If I can get 8, better. It's part of this new kind of lifestyle that I'm having right now. I don't nap in the afternoon - this helps me get to bed by 10PM.

I usually only get between 5 and 6 hours of sleep at night. I feel most energized with that. If I get less I'm practically a zombie. If I get more then 7 I spend my day with a hadache that just won't go away. I guess that's just what's normal for me.

I feel best if I get between 6 or 7 hours of sleep...any more and I feel sluggish. Being able to function on just 3 to 4 hours of sleep is rare but I guess everyone is different. I have a friend who takes a nap every afternoon and wakes up feeling refreshed but, if I take a nap, I'm sleepy all evening.

I think the the quality of your sleep is more effective than the length of your sleep. If you sleep for 3-4 hours correctly, without any disturbances, its enough to be fresh through out the day. But to have that kind of sleep is not easy. You have to be out of every thinking. I used to sleep like that before but I dont know when I lost my sleep. I will sleep 7-8 hours daily, still thinks its not sufficient and feel sleepy soon after the lunch.

yeah you're right it's the quality of sleep; not the quantity of sleep.

I need about 7-8 hours of sleep too. I really think that it depends greatly how much I've eaten and what I'm doing that will define how tired I feel. I've been fine off of 3-4 hours but I wouldn't be able to do that every night.
