I hate exercising

I honestly hate doing the exercise thing like going to the gym or doing situps and such. I find it repetitive and slightly boring and you dont really see product at the end. Yoga i love - however i FEEL BETTER after doing yoga...theres a feeling rather than a ugh u just ran for 20 minutes on the treadmill and i didnt go anywhere or get anything done. I like doing things like - mowing the lawn, gardening, parking farther away from places and walking. Going for a walk is enjoyable if you're outside and theres things to see...and the dog to walk... Mowing the lawn and gardening you finish and you may have spent 15 minutes or 3 hours on it but you look and you see what you accomplished. (my lawn takes 6 hours with a push mower to do and thats now counting weed-whacking and stuff) Am i the only one that finds exercise boring and repetitive and would rather do something productive instead?

maybe you should get a wii fit where you are doing exercise type games and getting rated so you feel your accomplishing something as far as progress?? yeah i like to see something for my work too

I was acutally thinking of getting one in the fall - during the spring and summer theres always so much to do outside like gardening and stuff as well as the fun stuff like swimming and horseback riding and my grandparents and extended family all come camping for a month in the summer...my tv barely gets turned on from june to september! I didnt realize that the exercises were rated thats awesome thanks!

well i know it kicks my butt but like the regular wii fit it has different things like you doing the hula hoop and it counts how many times it twirls around your waist (virtually) and so it keeps score on that type thing and every day it checks balance and stuff and tells you your "age" as far as how well your body is.. its interesting.. some of the thing i really wonder if they help or not but i figure if its getting me to move around then its at least doing something

I'm generally like that too. I will walk if I need to go somewhere. Or I'll go on a bike ride for fun, but a stationary bike is so boring. Right now I'm just telling myself that eventually I can go on trail runs if I keep training on the track first. But normally I do love being outdoors rather than just doing some repetitive exercise just for the sake of exercising.

LOL! You are weird, but in a good way... that stuff needs to get done. I hate doing yard work, mostly due to allergies. Some projects can be fun though. And all my arm muscles came from volunteering with elephant seals, so I guess that could be seen as crazy too.

I really like doing yardwork (ok maybe im a weirdo) i like finishing my lawn or my garden and going oooo look what i did. Today I'm stiff and ssore because i spent several hours wire brushing my deck then my sister and i repainted it. It looks good and i know i got lots of exercise doing it! (plus it was startin to look shabby)

I don't mind doing it, it's just the get up and do it part that's hard for me. I have a Gazelle which is great for me to use but I constantly put off doing it and avoid it. Maybe if I used it more I could get in better shape and be able to do more outside things. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I actually felt the same way you do not too long ago. I absolutely hated to work out. And here I have a home gym! But just recently I've been getting into it more and look forward to my workouts. And if I don't work out I end up feeling guilty as well as moody. Believe it or not working out can relieve stress, at least for me anyway. I may not feel rejuvenated, but I'm too tired afterwards to give a d@mn! LOL Seriously though, it can take a while to see the results, but in the end it is totally worth it.

I like how i feel AFTER I'm done - i tend to feel better and healthier even less stressed but its the actual exercise i hate. I really would rather do something "productive" than just like run on a treadmill and such.

It sounds like you actually like exercising - did you not know that yoga is a form of exercise? Just because you don't like the exhausting stuff doesn't mean that you don't like exercising, it just means that you're not a fan of jogging and getting out of breath and feeling uncomfortable. That's not abnormal. I would certainly consider mowing the lawn, gardening, and yoga all different forms of exercise. Perhaps not conventional forms of exercise, but it's exercise nonetheless! I agree with you, definitely. I hate walking with no direction or with no sights to see. It just feels..silly. Instead, walking as a mode of transportation or walking in order to take nature photography or to sight-see makes so much more sense - and adds a lot of pizazz to an otherwise boring exercise routine. That's probably one of the reasons I enjoy walking outdoors, on trails (or walking to the store) SO much more than sitting in a gym and exercising on a machine, staring at a wall. It's quite annoying and tedious.

I do know that yoga is a form of exercise thats why i wrote however i do like yoga. I think i might be like you walking with no direction or sights to see isnt any fun. My mom and sisters and i often go for walks together at the lake and take the cameras with us! The exercise i really hate is the kind that you just dont really get anywhere when you walk or run. I find yoga to be more relaxing than exercise although i do know it works muscles and burns calories and all that. I just dont consider it a chore like i considered going to the gym (glad i cancelled my gym membership!)

Same. Situps were always my nightmare in the school class of physical education. I never managed to reach 15 situps once but in fact my waist is really slim so such kind of excercise could not be productive to me. I'd rather burn my extra calories and build the bodyline through some easy, joyful daily activities, specially those social ones, such as hiking, dancing.

Actually, i hate exercise too.I think it is hard to do and feel tired everytime i want to do that. The only way i can do to lose my weight by hard diet.I know it is good to get exercise but i really hate to do that too.any people say it is easy to do but they already have the slim body.Easy to them to say like that and they easy too to make exercise.

I dont like it but i try to exercise...even if its making sure i do things like mow my lawn or weed the garden and do the house cleaning myself rather than having someone else do it for me. I admit my dad does come over and use the riding mower to do my lawn sometimes...not very often though and i apprecaite it when he does. I'm not good at dieting - i love food too much so exercising is a better alternative for me.

I am not a big fan of the typical exercise routines. I am much like you...dog walking and every day tasks. I also love to belly dance. It's a lot of fun and a great work out too!

I wanted to try belly dancing - i saw this awesome DVD at the library but never did get it before it went missing in transit. It was called Goddess Bellydance workout i think...something along those lines. A friend of mine who lives 7 hours away has a copy and loves it. Theres no one near here (well the closest is an hour and 20 min drive) to take classes from either
