There are several people who believe in god. Various people believe in god due to various reasons. So which is the reason that you particularly believe in god. And what evidence do you think supports it? I respect your opinions though I don't believe seriously in God, I think almost not at all...

Nzalheart...I, like many people, believe in God, because they were taught to believe in him when they were young. However, God became very real to me during a time that I experienced a crisis in my family. God came to me,thru the Holy Spirit, and made his presence in my heart, so real, that I became a new person after. Things I never understood in the Bible, became so clear. It was just like being on a honeymoon...I felt so much love during that time, and I knew God was right beside me. I cried for days, from the joy I felt in my heart, even in the midst of a crisis. It's very hard to explain this to people, because unless it happens to you, they still don't believe it. Why don't all people have these experiences...I wish I knew. Because I wish all people could experience the existence of God, and there would be so much more peace and love in the world.

Hello sweetchariot, I respect your opinion. Believing is god and feel loved is no doubt very good thing. It keeps mind very much positive. I know nothing real miracle happened in your life. And by miracle I mean, nothing impossible became possible in your life. Every thing happened naturally and for this you considered that it was God that made you every thing. Everything is the game of mind. Your mind was confident with the God and you got the problem solved away. I know many good things happen in my life and even many bad things also happen in my life. Whatever happened just happened naturally, nothing so miracle, nothing out of law. By miracle I just mean to that thing, if something happens beyond the natural process. The concept of god seems to have brought to control the people's behavior of committing false things. But don't forget there are also those people who doesn't need the name of God to be kind, loving and more peace. Take the example of Buddhists, who don't believe in god and though are the most peaceful religion in the world. Anyway thanks for your nice response...I know how you feel. The difference is that looking things with different perspective. Happy mylotting fren...

Well upto where I say, that is the definite truth. Was it mistake that everything that happened was out of the natural law. Upto this I think you should also accept. And then the thing comes that you feel everything done by God. May be god made the natural sequences that helped you. I know whoever believes in god feels the same. But there is the question of probability really true or really false? I don't mean to hurt you and your respect on God. I am myself saying that there probably may be god, but saying can't accept it as definite thing. I am very very much sorry, if it hurts your feeling. Probably, you are right that God doesn't see me, probably I am the biased children of god, Probably as because there are millions and millions of creatures in this world and god couldn't put an eye on me. And tell him, if you feel him that I am not satisfied with him, because he biased so many creatures in this world giving them the same sort of life like we do have but not the same sort of ability. This is the question that always strikes me, hurts me to some extent, bothers me. May he come upto my heart and give me the answer. Happy mylotting...

Nzalheart...Again, as I mentioned in my first response, non-christians, or fall away christians never believe something like this, so I am not surprized that you would brush this aside as just being a natural thing occuring because of positive thinking. I don't ask you to believe as I do...you have your own beliefs. But don't tell me what you think I experienced. I know what I experienced...I experienced God. Whether or not it was a miracle is between me and God, and I don't need anyone to validate the experience or relationship I have with him. Whatever beliefs you have, you have them for a reason. Unfortunately, you are being swayed by many others who consider God a tool for positive thinking; I feel sad for you and for many others who haven't had such a contact with Him.

I do believe GOD's existence despite that His utmost nature is unseen. They say to see is to believe, but FAITH is never seen--it's a gift from God. Sometimes we don't have to justify things just to prove it true. There are many unseen things in our lives but we can conclude that it's true because we normally experience it in our daily lives. For instance, we as humans have love in our hearts. Why, despite the hurts others have caused us, still we continue to love? Why do we believe in love despite that it's nature is unseen? Probably because it's a good feeling, and we see the wonders of love in people. Although as humans we are inevitable to pain, we still believe in love and continue to love because it worked for others or simply because it's basic for our survival. Same with our belief in God. Oftentimes we don't understand it, but still we believe it because it worked for others. We can see God's existence through life, nature and even pain. We don't necessarily need an evidence to back up God's existence because deep in our hearts we long for it and we can feel it.

Yup, we have our feelings that we can't see, we have our amazing life and this nature is amazing. As most people say, there is god but for now, I can only come to the convince that there probably may be god. This doesn't mean I totally depend on the God's faith. But I can't really expect any miracle from God, that can act against the rule of this nature. Okay, Probably, god created this universe, this life and the set of rule for the system in this universe and then sat quiet. That's why everything is happening... And yes, about the feelings that we have, scientists have discovered that they are the wavelength of various frequencies. The long slower waves represent the feeling of fear and the shorter higher frequency waves gives the feeling of love. And this love is really the power. So you are right, love is power and so we should spread the love, for the love radiates love and hatred radiates hatred. I know I have been arguing about this thing many many times. But I won't this time. This time, I wanted to hear the feeling of various people about their belief on god. Various people believe god due to various reasons. And I respect your opinions. Thanks for your response, fren...God bless you and may you reach the salvation in your life...

I really don't believe in god and say that there is no proof that god exists. I think the whole concept of god was invented to give people something to look up to.

Yes, that's the way god are being created. Here, when we see an unsual thing like a special type of stone, then people will start to worship them instead, they don't understand what's it really is. And in the timeline, the popular temple is created. The same is with every god. Therefore no answer is equal to the god.

Everything which has no answer has become a god in this world. And therefore, no one will be able to give the evidence of god. It's because the existence of god came from the no answer...

Take a look at the universe. Every planet is put in place in such a way that they don't collide into each other or fly off into space. Look at our earth. There's just the right amount of gases, vegetation, and water to sustain life. Take anything from nature and see how intricately it's been put together. Can man duplicate anything from nature and make it better? Could man ever develop a computer that can match the human brain? Why is it that in all of nature only man can produce beauty through imagination? If there was a "big bang," who brought order to things? These are some of the things that convince me there has to be a superior being. Also, whenever anyone thinks they have proof the Bible is false, it's always proven to be true.

I suppose it will forever be thus. There are those of us who see the wonders of nature, our universe, the solar system and the human body to name a few and are sure there has to be an intelligent designer behind it all. Nothing else makes sense to us. And that intelligent designer has to be God. There are others who put their faith in science and science alone. I know it's not the goal of scientist to prove or disprove God, but more often than not I think science proves there has to be a God.

I don't think your arguments disprove the existence of God. If anything they prove His existence. If it takes the intelligence of man to be able to manipulate what is in nature, doesn't it seem reasonable that it would have taken intelligence to produce what's in nature to begin with? There has to be a reason the planets in our solar system work together and it's not because we've been lucky so far. If man ever produces a computer that matches the human brain, it will still have been a human brain that came up with the design. So, how did the human brain get that intelligent? I bet you're willing to give man credit for his accomplishments. Why is it so hard to give God His do?

Well according to quantum physics, our mind is creating this universe actually. If you look at the discoveries of quantum physics, you will see that the scientist claim everything around is the illusion, that is due to the perceptions of our senses. They claim that we create reality. I know many people don't believe in this invention and rather people try to disguise it. Because, some say it is against the religion and it is narrow mindedness. Many times, it has been that at first time, the things are criticized at later accepted. Well they say everything, exist from nothingness, and also there are some scientists who call this nothingness which is creating energy is the God, the creator. But still its not the perfect answer. Because some just say it, and some don't. Happy mylotting...

Maybe because evolution is false.

3 Jun 09
What does the natural process of evolution have to do with a god?
• Norway
3 Jun 09
There are two alternatives either life started because of God or because of evolution, since evolution is false the other alternative should be true.
• Thailand
3 Jun 09
Evolution has nothing to do with the origin of life. Evolution is the process that has lead to the development of life and the change that have occurred. The origin of life is unknown but the idea that god did it seems a bit far fetched. There are a lot of ideas that seem more reasonable than the intervention of a supernatural entity. Science is getting clos to an answer as to how life began on this planet. we will know within the next five years but it does not look, at the present time, that the answer will be that god did it.

I believe in God, because Creation is an act in which at best we[humans or animals to some extent] can only participate;it happens due to "operation" of the Laws of Nature.Who "made" these Laws of Nature? We humans are only discovering and harnessing them. Yes, we have gone up to synthesizing the DNA.We would be going further too- like designer babies et al. But still, the "material" the raw material I mean, will come from Nature. Not a single electron or why even any of its constituent "particles"(or parts if you will) is produced by Man. I would call it produced, only when, it comes truly from nothingness, including the Energy required to make it happen. The energy required also is channelised from Nature or "created" at the expense of Matter a la Einstein. Let's assume for the moment that Einstein's Mass Energy relationship is a forever-true Law. IOW, for simplicity of argument, I am giving the credit for or eternal validity to, the discovery of a law with the seal of finality- which in truth no scientific law claims. Now at least one side of the equation comes from Nature(pre-created). Now the original causefor the existence of this Nature is what I would like to call God.Since I "see" things this way, therefore, I believe in the Existence of God . Now, many who might remember some of the discussions I have participated in know that I subscribe to a Philosophy called Advaita Vedanta. According to an extreme view of this philosophy, which it shares with Buddhism, this Material Universe is an illusion. This is one of the most discomforting concepts of AV. By this is meant this Universe has a Relative Existence--relative to an Intelligent Observer. In which case giving "credit" or positing a Creator God again doesn't arise or is not necessary. This also is purported to mean in the ultimate analysis even the "existence" of "hard" Nature is also necessary as an evidence for God to be existing. But Advaita still says there is a Residual Existence instead of Nothingness as taken by Buddhism. That ONE existence is what is God or more aptly Brahman. Thus in my case Brahman = ONE RESIDUE is a matter of belief = it stems from a Scripture, rest is only consequent truth.

Well it became really difficult to understand what you actually want to tell. But you have really good spiritual knowledge. It seems that your knowledge of god is different than other believers of god who say we should pray god because he will take us to heaven. I hope you certainly doesn't fall on this category. I hope the raw material you are talking about is we, ourselves, our life, our mind. Did you mean it mind, our intelligent mind that can reflect objects. We have our senses that's why we percieve this physical world. Without these senses this world is empty. You are right, a scientist cannot create another human because the human needs the excellent mind that reflect objects. And definitely I believe this mind comes from nothingness and this physical body comes from the nature. Did you mean the energy comes from God? And then you still went vague finally. I don't want to say there is certainly the god the creator unless I know it. The philosophy only doesn't take us to the truth. I believe unless we come up with understanding ourselves, our mind in true form nothing can be said with total fact, with total 100 percent accuracy. There is no point is saying that there is god. Rather I would support there may be God. The complexity of how this universe is, is not the answer that it is certainly god.

I also believe in the whole illusionary concept. Everything is actually empty and is due to the senses we have. Without those perceptions every solidity is the illusion. This is yes the relatively same concept in both Buddhism and the Hinduism. The religion today seem to be lost its way and that's why people follow this god and that god, with desire to get something go on worshipping this and that good which seems to be totally stupidity. These is no doubt about the illusionary concept, its like the fact not even Buddhism, Hinduism, but also other religions accept this who are involving in the spiritual education. So what is the residual matter in your concept. What is it? Do you mean God? Did you mean it god? I am not clear? Can you explain it more?

Hinduism and Buddhism has some sort of same background. When Buddha was born there were Rishis, who were dominant figures when it comes to the knowledge of this nature or truth. Siddhartha Gautama learned lot of things from them but was not satisfied. Because they told that the ultimate truth is not knowable. So in search of knowledge Siddhartha roamed from a Guru to other. Finally dissatisfied, he searched the knowledge on his own and finally got the enlightenment. And this ultimate truth was the nothingness, emptiness.

I believe in GOD because I have faith. And since I was younger, HE has been making HIMself evident in my life. When I pray, He'd respond to me. HE comforts me when I am down. And HE makes me feel I am not alone. Of course, it just didn't happen that way like one day I woke up and I just believed that HE exists. This is with the influence of the school where I studied. And I am grateful that they introduced GOD in my life.

The good thing about the people who believe in god is that they are highly confident with the name of God they take. This is really the good point. And I know the glory of life of the people surely comes up to the people who believe in god and feel secure himself/herself. About me, I don't believe in God that much, at least I don't pray. But I am happy because I try to take the things in the comfortable way. I believe our belief and thoughts really matters in our life. Take the example of superstitions. To the people who believe more in the superstitions they seems to find that the superstitions really exists and the things like mentioned in the superstition seemed to happen in real for most of them. And similarly take the example of the person who don't believe in superstition. He is not really affected by it and bad moments like mention in the superstition rarely comes up to him. Its because I believe that our thoughts really affect our realities in some sense. Thanks for your response...happy mylotting...

Let me quote Kuya Rene in his book on "Spiritual Reality" (Rene Mariano is a well-known psychic in the Philippines - www.renemariano.net Philippine tel. no. 632-8436346) "There is a saying, "if you are not aware of something - that something does not exist. But, when the defining moment comes, one has become conscious of that something, suddenly, it is there - it exists! As a firm believer of God, your proof - is your beingness. The minds of men are not perfect. When anyone who tries to get to the bottom of a mystery by using the rationale mind that person's consciousness will be in a more confuse state. No man on this world can fully fathom God. If this were not true, there should be no countless different, subjective interpretations of the Holy Mighty One.He is the eternal mystery and the supreme one among all other mysteries, which is within the most finite particle of an atom, and within the vast entirety of your cosmos. He is within you, at the same time outside of you. What makes you alive is God. Physically, He is the one who makes your heart beat to pump blood in your entire corporal aspect. Emotionally, He gives you the feelings of love, compassion and righteousness." I hope this will help you in your quest for God's existence.

Hello sugarlen!!! You are right if there were no perception, it we had no eye at all, there would not have been any vision at all, if we didn't have any ear we wouldn't have any sensation of hearing at all, no any taste for no tongue etc. But everything is same, i.e energy, which due to our various perceptions or sensations became different. Get rid of this sensation, everything is empty, because everything existed from nothingness. The mind of human beings is not perfect, but can be made perfect via continuous practice. We people have almost think it impossible because we are already immersed in this world of materialization. For me, my existence is the not the proof that God exists for sure. God may exist, but I can't say it sure exists. Everything that science cannot reach is not god. Because I don't want to conclude my quest with the pre answer that there is an almighty God. To say, god gives the feelings it is not that logical that every believer in God think. Buddha reaching to the extremeness of knowledge and wisdom did never said that God exists. Even he says that praying god only for salvation will not lead us to reach the actual truth or knowledge. Instead explore your mind, come up with the reasons, sharpen your thoughts, there is answer... Happy mylotting...

Hi nzalheart, I don't believe in God in the sense that most people do. I know there is an energy and I having a knowing, perhaps it could be called a remembering within me. These are not things that can be used to prove anything. For proof,I say look at the world around you and the universe. I am not opposed to the theory of evolution, but for me it does not disprove that there is more than what we see here, but rather assures me that there has to be more. Blessings.

Hello Pose123!!! Yes, some people believe god in another sense. Like you sometimes, I also think that there is a creator. But another moment, I say there isn't creator. That's why I keep myself with the answer, there probably may be the creator, as it is not really definite. We really have a lot to understand that what we see.. Yup, hehe...I have said in many discussions that I don't believe in existence of God and everytime given my reasons too...Thanks for respecting my belief hehe...And I respect your belief too...May be the God exists, I can see it as the relative truth. i.e The God may exist and I will accept it full heartedly when I find it. I knew most of the people believed in the existence of God with the evidence of oneself's existence like you said. Frankly, this discussion I started not to argue at any point, unless I am very much bound. There are various people in the world believing with various reasons that there is God.
